Likelihood of Last Minute July 2024 Trip... Working Around Military Training

Hi! I will be celebrating my 50th birthday next summer. I was asked what I would like to do and I said WDW! We have not been in years. When we went regularly, I planned 6 months plus in advance, etc. This time is different as my son attends West Point and his summer schedule is not known until late May. I would love for him to go on the trip but I understand if it is not possible. If he does not join us, it will just be my husband and I. How should I proceed with our plans? If it is just my husband and I, do you think we will have an easier time finding something? Thank you!

Book for the two of you and add your DS on when he knows if he can come, just don’t book a king room. Dining is booked at 60 days plus length of stay. You can book dining for 3 and show up with 2 no penalty (unless it’s a pre-paid package and then I wouldn’t try that).
