Likelihood of Frozen Summer Fun Being extended?

Curious for the thoughts of seasoned Disney watchers on this. We are going in Sept this year, and I know last year they extended the Frozen stuff through the end of Sept. Personally, we are not interested in participating (two boys who are sick of hearing girls talk about it!), but I am curious in terms of crowds. If they end this, and with all the recent and rumored closures, I would think that they might want to extend the Frozen stuff until Osbourne Xmas lights go up? Otherwise, attendance would likely fall pretty badly? They have also recently opened the Frozen makeover thing there. Would seem silly to open that for such a short period?

Last year they extended everything except for the parade and fireworks. I'd expect to see the same maybe they extend the parade but usually fireworks are strict to the deadline.

We have 2 boys also and they would never admit to it, but they enjoyed the sing along. The fireworks are the best on property right now. Amazing! We went back a second time to see them again. Hope you get to experience some of it.

Last year being 2014? I was there from Sept 27 - Oct 7 and I didnt' see the parade (I never went to the park early enough to see it), but I did see the fireworks. The last night it happened was Oct 5, 2014 and the stage and everything was completely removed for the morning of Oct 3 (happened to do a backstage tour that day and saw it all on the side like they decided to do it really fast and ran out of time to put it away. Everything else was happening. now I don't know if they stopped it sooner and brought the fireworks back but that couple weeks was insanely packed with people, food and wine and halloween all happening at the same time. It was great!

I might still have the paper short schedule from this trip, i'll see if i can find it and report back tomorrow if the parade was on it.

They extended the parade and fireworks also. But at least the fireworks became weekend only.

Also curious, as we will be at WDW in October and DD's would LOVE the Frozen makeovers.

I'm crossing my fingers for the fireworks and prarade extension as we are arriving the following week. I mean the sing-a-long we have fast passes for so we will have some frozen experience, but my daughter would just love go have the whole experience, but you win some you lose some right?

We go Sept 12-19 so any extension would be nice! But nothing has been announced yet. :(

I don't think they will I think that after September they might be taking LMA out and start on the expansion of the park ..

Frozen Summer Fun isn't being extended this year. With it starting earlier & ending a week after last year's original end date, it's running for 11 & a half weeks this year. Last year, it ran for 12 weeks once it was extended.

This is good info. I hope you're right and it isn't extended and that DHS is quieter in Sept with no special events going on and so much closed.

I listened to Shannon Albert's most recent (yesterday) podcast from wdwprepschool on my commute this morning and she said that it is a rumor but a well-placed source that frozen summer fun is going to be extended and extended for a long time. Hopefully announcing soon as the sept 7 end date is near! Makes sense with so much else being closed! I am hoping this is true!

I could have sworn that I read that in a week or so it was 'ending' and switching to weekends for the foreseeable future. I asked my daughter and she remembers and made a note in mde for the same thing. I can't find that blog post or wherever I found it now though..

Last year, the stage was still setup in october and I think it only came down because they were prepping to remove the hat. I suspect it will continue to run until the new star wars fireworks start up (or osbourne lights). IIRC it was not every night last year, they did go to mostly weekends with 1 weekday and it wasn't the full frozen summer, it was more the stage items that continued past the ending date.
