Likelihood of 4-3 deal again next year?

Anyone have a guess as to a recurrence of last year's 4-3 deal? My parents want to go with us to watch the grandkids enjoy the magic, but we can't afford to pay for all six of us the regular rate.

No one knows for sure, but even if it's not the 4/3 deal, my guess is that Disney will offer some sort of promotional discount. With the economy the way it is--and you can bet it's not going to get any better by then--I just don't see how Disney would be able to offer people rooms at rack rate only and expect park attendance not to decrease dramatically. So like I said, no one knows if there will be another 4/3 deal (or Free Dining, etc.) offered for next year, but if I had to bet, I would definitely say yes.

I agree . The economy isn't going to turn around over night so my opinion is that Disney is going to have to entice people by offering some sort of promotion to fill their rooms . A few months ago people were receiving email pin codes for the 4/3 deal and a 5/2 deal for fall/winter dates . My DH and I each got a pin code for free dining for Oct, Nov, & Dec dates.....and I got a birthday 40% off code for dates through August.....so I also think Disney will be offering something for next year .

Possibly. Disney only does the 4/3 deal in times that is absolutely neccessary.Before last year it was 2001, and maybe 2003 it was offered briefly.In 2001 it was after 9/11, and in 2003 economic downturn.It is not offered every year. I am sure disney will offer some discounts, not guarantee for the 4/3

Anybody remember when the 4/3 deal was announced for 2009 ? If it is offered for 2010 (hopefully!) I would imagine it would be announced around the same time.

The best WDW deal we ever used for a trip (not saying there haven't been better just the best we were able to use when traveling there) was a 40% off room only code in Feb. 2002 at BWI. Disney was still hurting following 9/11. It was a great price for a deluxe, we were thrilled.

It is a bit weird to hope things are bad enough to get a deal but I think we all agree it is about the deal, not about wanting something to be bad in our country.
