UMMMMMMM you speaking about me??:rotfl:

UUUUUUUUUmMMMMMMMMMMMMM! Yeah.

Congrats on the promotion! I have a sudden urge to call you Sergeant Carter and yell "Shazam!" Of course next month I'm gonna have an urge to call you Liutennant Dan and start naming shrimp dishes. I loved your true confessions, though I gotta say they caused me inhale an impressive quantity of my Sonic grape slushie into the deep recesses of my sinus cavity at a decidedly alarming velocity. Now every time I sneeze I think I'm taking communion. But, I digress.... Looking forward to more!

Oh my darlin' Clementine! You are so funny!!

Please, bring on the shrimp dishes!! I CRAVE me some shrimp or fish of any kind! Yessssssss, Sir! And he doesn't know the territory! (I'll bet you can name that reference!)

I happened to be eating a grilled cheese sandwich for breakfast, and unfortunately, if I suck any of THAT into deep sinus recesses, I'll be sneezing something tasting akin to toe jam or stinky socks (not that I"ve ever actually tasted either!, I"m just sayin').

Ok...wow...I really am a slacker. :guilty: How the heck did I fall behind on you?! I'm sorry! Life has just been crazy hectic. But, I'm trying to get back to all my usual reading! :flower3:

Oh, sweetie, I wasn't raking YOU over the coals!! But, I did miss you!!! A lot!!! I had wondered where you wandered off to (probably trying to keep your own Trippie up and running, right?!) and am glad you came over to say hi! By the way, your mono pix at the Contemp. were fab. And I laughed pretty hard about Goofy being "inappropriate" at Chef Mickeys with your sis.

Very, very,funny GB! :lmao:

1st Sgt. Puccinelli is a good one too, only that he comes with the world's clumsiest guy!! Which would you prefer Mom? Think hard- this is an imporant decision!

If you're wondering which movie this is, here you go:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0042209/

If you like some silly, family-friendly entertainment, this one is pretty good.

You Betcha!! And we never said WHAT we're promoting, did we?? Except our rank. I think we should promote how pirate-y we're feeling about this whole thing. I'm even starting to feel a little like our gov't on this health care reform business, or Madoff with oodles of money!!! :rotfl2: Except our pirate-y-ness doesn't involved tax payer money, just a week of time and freedom from everyday enemies.

I'm so proud of you!

I know we're supposed to be professional soldiers here, but I am ALL for releasing your inner pirate!

Drink up me hearties, yo ho!!!!!!!! pirate:

I think that pirates in some sort of way WERE soldiers; just as dedicated to their cause as we are, in a pirate-y sort of way. :thumbsup2

And I laughed pretty hard about Goofy being "inappropriate" at Chef Mickeys with your sis.

I was gone when the incident happened and when I came back to the table, she says to me "I hate you for leaving me alone with creepy perv Goofy!" She was already scared of him from the inappropriate Goofy we met at LTT a few trips back and then it happens to her again! :rotfl2: I said to her, "Next time...wear no makeup and a turtle neck. That should scare him off." :rotfl:

I wondered where you went! Glad you're back- I NEED YOU! I actually had to look up the word embarrass cuz you weren't here. :rotfl2: I like your pithy insights as well.

Like, the nobody listens anymore line. Why IS it that everyone expects you to remember everything for them?? Is it a symptom of enablement syndrome??

Oh no! :scared1: Don't tell me you had to use a dictionary! Sorry I was MIA! I am tired of remembering everything for everyone! We need to stage a rebellion though I guess that wouldn't not be very good conduct for a platoon of soliders.

So, it has now been determined that Soldier #1 had approximately, 3.125% of her brain left, which makes for a very convenient excuse when she forgets her keys, camera and other junk in the hotel room. It also gives me a secure out, when being asked to do any math whatsoever. maroo will have to take care of that for us. Thankfully, she's an honest woman who would never take advantage of her fellow troops!

I love your math and I am sure Maroo will be great at keeping you on track!

I am here! I am here!

I tell ya what...I will only post pictures that are flattering if you will promise to do the same! :) And you have veto rights of any picture posted if I think it is fine but you don't like it. I will just take it off! :)

I am getting excited about Magic Meets now that Ra is doing better!!

Deal! See you tomorrow!

Here we are again; another month gone by, (hey, you could all use this pre-trippie all by itself as a "see-how-fast-time-goes-by tool") and it's time for the TC3 to give themselves a little self-promotion. Everyone likes a little of THAT, and we just happened to want to be slightly blatant about it. Why not? It's our trip, right??

For those of you who may be new our drivel, here's the drill. Each month that we get closer to our D-Day, we get to move up in rank. We started out as Privates, which is a farse, cuz there's nothing private about a Trip report in the first place. Then, we moved up to the illustrious ranking of corporal. I can tell you I"m glad to be ditching that one today. It sounds like corpulent, which means fat or fleshy; it also sounds too much like corpse, and we certainly aren't going there. So happily, we are moving on to:

Sergeant

Granted, this is still a non-commissioned officer ranking, because we acknowledge we still don't have base housing yet. Next month, we WILL have that, and we can receive our commissed rank status!!! We are excited. So for now, we will march as sergeants which officially means:

"... a senior role of responsibility acting as second in command to a troop or platoon of up to 35 soldiers. You will be responsible for their conduct, discipline and performance. You will enjoy a wide range of career options and typically requires 12 years of service."

I"m not sure that we will have responsibility of ever being in command of 35 people- I'm thinking it's going to be hard enough to be in charge and command of ourselves (see confessions of a soldier)- everyone knows there are no guarantees after a Lapu Lapu. But I do like that little bit about having a wide range of options! Hmmmm... EPCOT or MK today?? Shall I have sushi or the cheese flight with dinner? Choices; sergeants get more!

I thought your family was the size of a platoon! :rotfl: I don't know how you do it! My sis-in-law is had a baby this morning so I took off to watch DD and my niece and the two of them and their bickering are about to drive me right over the edge! (Though is their defense I am pretty stressed out these days)

Carry on, Sergeant!

I think that pirates in some sort of way WERE soldiers; just as dedicated to their cause as we are, in a pirate-y sort of way. :thumbsup2

HA! Thank you for attempting to justify my devil may care behavior. :lmao:

UUUUUUUUUmMMMMMMMMMMMMM! Yeah.

Well then.... I guess I need to post more often then!:hyper:

When you 'guys' (ladies) are speaking about lady things, I usually stay out of it!

Maybe you guys can be in charge of 35 chocolate covered strawberries or 35 drinks around the world.

Maybe you can fly 35 people down to be in charge of.... I know 3 who will volunteer! :worship:

Maybe next time, she should train with TC3 (That's "The Chosen 3"). We could teach her some serious military-style anti-creepy-perv-Goofy action, or she could whisper in his ear the dollar amount that Obama's healthcare plan is going to raise her and her great-grandchildren's taxes- that'll scare him off too.

Yup, I had to break out my friend Webster--- he comes in handy when Jen is MIA.

As for staging an "I can't be responsible for everyone" rebellion, we should consider how badly things would fall apart if we didn't. My motto, "If you want it done right, do it yourself."

Maroo will have to do the math- I simply cannot keep track of all the names and functions of the Bouncebacks she keeps talking about! I just trust her that she can score us a great deal AND keep track of it all.

Our family is the 1/5 the size of a platoon. See, I can do simple-ish math; 7/35 is 1/5, right?? If so, then I'd need and additional 28 people to order around. I'll bet I can find a Brazilian tour group to tell they cannot cut in front of me- no matter how much they "don't speak English".

Congratulations on your promotion! :yay:

Kathy

Thanks!, Kathy! It just means that another month has passed by, and we're that much closer to being on our way!

HA! Thank you for attempting to justify my devil may care behavior. :lmao:

Anytime, love! Savvy?

I don't blame you for staying out of ladies' "stuff". It can become rather inane. But, I do adore your idea of the strawberries. I think I could eat 1/3 of 35 (that'd be around 11- just in case you all are still doubting my math abilities) . As for drinking around the world.... About 1, give or take 1/2, is all it takes these days. But coming up, there will be a post dedicated to my astute research on the various concoctions I wouldn't mind trying if the fancy strikes me. (I occassionally hit the dining boards besides the TR boards)

Maybe you and Mel should think about coming down next year and joining us??!! There's always room for more DIS-ers, right?? :confused3

Hi guys!!

What in the world am I doing up at 1 AM??

Magic Meets!!!!

I am going to be learning all kinds of cool stuff.

I have heard a rumor...(not here)...that they are going to be releasing "GOOD" deals in a week or so for 2010 packages. The Dining went up to about $42 per person for 2010.

Just sayin...

YOU MADE IT! YOU MADE IT!!

See you're already learning all kinds of handy-dandy stuff for trip!! I knew you'd come through for us! :thumbsup2

You're up cuz you're excited! How could you NOT be??! :dance3:

$42!! for dining? :scared1: I can't wait to hear what the deals are; it may just directly impact MY wallet.... just sayin'... :confused3

There's always a first for everything! I'll bet it was the first time tea had ever been tossed into the sea in protest against high taxes at the Boston harbor. The Chinese were the first to employ explosives in battle, and the catapult was first proven to be a weapon of superior force in the battle at Syracuse.

Each "first" brought wonder and awe to the combatants, and undoubtedly to the opposition as well. In fact, I daresay, they may have even brought a sense of wonderment and expectation.

I now introduce you to the first purchases of the TC3!!!

Yes, these have instilled wonderment and expectation. They conjure up visions of revelling in victory during our Week of Independence among so many other worthy soldiers, who have fought the long fight of securing their own weeks of freedom.

This occassion marks the beginning of perhaps a long string of laying in provisions. For the TC3 must be a well-outfitted regiment. No sloppy fatigues will do for these savvy looking soldiers!! If you'd like to know where we scored such groovy looking attire, PM us, and we can give you the lowdown on where to secure them.

Marching in style,

Your Savvy Sergeants

Here I am, getting ready to read a new chappie, and lookie, lookie! :goodvibes

I'm tickled, and you know why. :goodvibes

I love the shirts!

Are you going to wear tie-dyed shorts with those?:wizard:

If I wore shorts, it'd be a scary matter indeed! Besides they are NOT regulation attire. I think a soldier wearing a giant target on their butt, would be a very silly thing to do indeed!!!

:cheer2::cheer2: For the first purchase, very nice:thumbsup2

I really like them!! And it feels like we are off to a very nice start with them!

Those tie-dye shirts are awesome! My favorite one is the one in the middle.
