I know you didn't want to embarrass me by saying that my review was your favorite. But, here's the Sanaa portion of my TR.

http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=32904306&postcount=88

Thanks for the great report on Sanaa!

You write much better than me (or is it I? ;)) and spend time describing each item. I'm usually like 'I had the Filet and it was goo-ood!' LOL:lmao:

There seems to be interesting food there. My DW and I would probably be game but my DD... hummmm. Well it looks like they have a 'normal' kids menu so it could be a possibility. DD3 did like the flat breads at Jiko though and even liked trying the non-spicy spreads. :goodvibes

You're very welcome. Thanks for the compliment....I'm glad you found it helpful.

If your kids are young enough to eat off of the kids menu, they should have no problem. They offer the standard "kid-fare". As you saw in my report, we had an issue because my son wanted the more exotic food, but in a kid-sized portion, and it wasn't on the kids menu. They took care of him though, for sure.

My kids are pretty adventurous eaters. We try to get them to some ethnic restaurants to stretch their experiences a little, so Sanaa was not something that was really unusual for them.

I think everyone who answered in this round was right on the money- the answer was Starring Rolls, a great place to pick up a great tasting (surprisingly) cup of coffee and a sandwich or pastry.

Love the variety of clue-giving!

My guess is: Starring Rolls

I've never eaten here or at several of the places you guys are planning to hit. There are so many fabulous restaurants to choose from in the world that my goal now for every trip is to try several new ones. Now, that we don't have to focus quite so heavily on character meals I can expand my options a bit.

YOU GOT IT!!! Great job!

Yeah, I guess it's the teacher coming out in me. Catering to all learning styles and all that. :lmao: I thought it'd be a little harder than it was, but was happy to see so many get an easy point.

Honestly, I'm thrilled to be out of the character phase myself (as far as meals go); it was fun while it lasted, but they take a lot of time, and the food is never very, shall we see, mature for the more adventurours eaters.

That was my goal too, try a whole bunch of new stuff, keep a couple of favorites!

Okay, I'll go with Starring Rolls. I've never been there, but it does have a great location.

Hi Shannon, Hey I got your prize out yesterday, so look for that in a few weeks. Better late than never, eh?? ;)

Location, location, location!! It is a perfect place to sit and relax with a VERY good cup of coffee and people watch for a frew relaxing minutes.

I'm going with Starring Rolls.I kept trying to find something that was xxx Grill as that works with the letters too!

I have eaten here and enjoyed it very much!

WOW!! You even got grill from it too. I almost made it harder and didn't tell ya'll that it was 2 words.

I only had a pastry here with a latte, and it was so tasty-good. Next time, I actually may pick up a sandwich- if F! ends up being on the docket.

I woke up this morning and it came to me...seriously....
starring rolls.

Like a flash of lightening? or a cold splash of water? or was it like you were having a fitful sleep stewing over this Jordan?? That would be something I would do. :lmao:

I have NO idea!

Isn't that sad?!?!?! :rotfl:

popcorn:: :surfweb:

maroo, that is seriously sad. But to be fair, I'm not sure we've talked about this one a lot. I was more thinking of just a quickie pop in for a latte and a snack, but now as I re-think it, I may go in deep- their sandwiches looked like the bomb! Big, fat, loaded with meat.

It took me long enough, but I think I've got it... starring rolls

That stinks that you were all sick too. Hope Bekka is feeling better.

I might get to read your TR before my trip after all. We won't know until the beginning of March, but both my boys will be having medical tests done for different things, and we don't know yet what that does to our trip. I'm still planning it as if we are going this summer, but only time will tell.

How is everything else going for you?

Nope, not feeling any better. In fact, I'm getting a little worried that Bekka's has gone further down. I may put her on an antibiotic if I don't see improvement by tomorrow. I can hear her hacking up a lung from her room.

Oh no! Not a cancellation! That would really smell! But, med. tests are important, and you do need to get down to the bottom of any questions you might have!

Honestly, until we choose a date to return our trip is a tiny bit uncertain. My MIL is dying, we have to sell this house, we just don't know what life holds in the next 6-8 months. But DH told me last night to plan as if I were going as planned, and that's the best we can do. Actually, I am surprisingly coming to a place of peace about this. Last month, it rocked my world, but the Father is one of Peace, and I am realizing that postponing can actually be a good thing. Disney will always be there.

It's only sad if you're aware of all the places you're eating. If it's a surprise to you, too, then I think we can let it slide. ;)

Mostly she is, but I think I may have thrown this one for kicks and giggles.

Thanks for the great report on Sanaa!

I went back and read it too!! It was a superb job at reviewing AND writing!!

As I went to bed thinking about the review I was trying to find, it dawned on me that it wasn't for Sanaa at all, it was for one of the next places on RD!!! Doy!

I don't think Jul will not have a hard time finding something yummy! And maybe she will even surprise you and find something new and exciting to nosh on. :confused3

Grammar lesson of the day: You would have to use "me" because (Jen correct me if I'm wrong here) you need the objective case. You would be the subject with "write" as the verb. At least that's my take on it. I could be way of though, since honestly, I have no idea if "better than" is a correlative clause or prepositional phrase. Maybe that doesn't matter, even.

Glenn, would you say the food was ethnic enough?? Was the curry spicy enough to be called curry??

I remember we went to Marrakesh and were so disappointed that what was sitting on our plates resembled Moroccan like I resemble a being of Asian decent. No offense, Jordan, just using a bad simile here. ;)

You know I was thinking the exact same thing! That's why I kept 'me' in there. :teacher:

Who am I kidding? Read my TRs and you can spot my grammatical mistakes in every paragraph! LOL

With the way I write, I'm lucky that people read the whole report! Lucky for me I have a cute wife and a cute daughter to boot! :lmao:

That's a tough call. What they normally serve, I'd bet wouldn't be spicy enough for you. I'm sure you can tell them you want it spicy, don't hold back, we're no wimps.

I guess if I keep writing over here, I can help take some of the "load" off of Jordan!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'll be in and out though, for a bit, I'm up to my ears in puppy crap and stinky dog food this morning. It's -20 C out this morning, so we are giving the little honeys a warm up in the house.

none taken.:)

So glad, didn't want to tork anyone else off this week. ;)

Oh...it IS that sad.

I know the places we are eating.

Did you remember this one?

You know I was thinking the exact same thing! That's why I kept 'me' in there. :teacher:

Don't fool yourself, your reports are great!! Who can top the drama of forgetting tickets?? Well, yeah, and Jul is a little princess NOT to be missed! ;)

Yes, in the review from the dining page, it did say you get ask for it spicer; I'll have to remember that!! I'm so excited for this one.

BY THE WAY:

Add you own points is in effect again. It's pretty easy, if you guessed right, add 1 to your previous total. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Glad this can be an auxilliary Party Central for late night excitement. I'm grabbing my coffee to add to my morning excitement. Be back soon with RD Clue #10.

And he's an awfully fun target!

Thank God for Jordan. I used to be the brunt of all the jokes around here. Being one of the only guys since the beginning, it was starting to get tough. At least now the jokes are evenly split! :p

Coffee sounds good right now. It's cold here.

I heard it's raining buckets there. Still so?

:rotfl2: what temp is it when it's cold down there?

Ummm... it's -20 C right now. I think that's about -10F?? I'll have to open up a conversion site, hang on...

If you're feeling neglected, we can always begin anew. :lmao::lmao:
