I think I know this one. I think it's Wolfgang Puck Express....I was debating with Earl of Sandwich but WPE gets my vote because of the canine and hockey puck comments

Well, this one stumped me. (as if I was doing so well ;))

Love toothless tink on Christmas. What a sweetie. She looks JUST like her big sis. Sounds like you have a really fun blankastani Christmas.

I LOVED the movie Up. Of course, my hubby and I BOTH cried like babies when we saw it at the movies. Then again, when we watched it with my parents. But, I didn't buy it when it came out on DVD. I don't know if I could watch it again - too sad!

I'm finally back on board! Soooooooo . . . . whuddid I miss? :rotfl2: Yea, right. In the 3 weeks I've been AWOL, you've probably racked up another 50 pages on this PTR! Any huge new developments (like has Maroo secured the castle suite with a 40% PIN code yet? :lmao:) or additions to your crew that I need to know about?

lol

I am still working on the Castle with a 100% PIN! ;) Maybe they will give me frequent flier miles?

I have been AWOL myself! I just looked back and I have not posted on here in pages! But I am still here...lurking in the shadows....you guys talk so much that I am completely entertained and have no need to talk myself! :rotfl:

WOW! Lots of you chimed in while I was getting my beauty rest. I must have woken up ugly, cuz I got very little of that! :lmao:

HA! You're a funny girl! You HAVE been gone a while, but having WAY MORE fun than us probably! I mean you WERE at Disney...

No great deals yet, but we're still hoping!! :lmao:

Hey Liesa! Checking in. A bit backlogged in my replies, but working through them as I can.

Have a great day in Blankastan!

I get that way far too often!! Don't worry about it, you can always just pick up where we are, and still fit right in. The links should help some too, if you wnat to skip the chit-chat.

I totally forgot until now. You can get sushi at the quick service dining place in Japan in Epcot. It's your basic California Roll (not sure if they have other kinds, that's what I had), but it's very, very good. :goodvibes

That's good recon. there my friend! I wish it were on a snack credit, I'd do that in .4 seconds.

Great guesses coming it!!! We're going to be well fed!!

So I stumped you, did I?? I think that maybe a first!! ;) All my girls look just like me. It's a generational thing on our X chromosome. I look just like my mother (God bless her double chin) and she just like hers. :lmao:

I am still trying to figure out how on Earth I could cry as hard from a PIXAR movie as I did when I watched Schindler's List!!!! :confused3

Keep working on it! We're counting on you. :rotfl2:

YOu've been very busy and stressed- check in when you can, and shine where you are :)

The day was finally here! The day we’d all been waiting for – entry to Magical Kingdoms and beyond!

We had agreed the night before that my mom and dad would take Mike to the airport; that way the kids and I could get an early start in the park. Single mom-ming it with 4 kids including a stroller wasn’t easy, as I recall. Only one of them was tall enough for any of the "big rides”, so we settled for things we could all go on. I love this about Disney- there are no bad rides. I love them all, and I can tell you we had a great time on just about everything.

But I only have a couple of things that surfaced in full enough strength from the memory data banks to really expound upon. One is that we ate at Columbia Harbor House. I had fish and chips and they were great! This will forever be my favorite counter service place at the MK (Casey’s being a VERY close 2nd) It’s kind of like that nostalgic memory of that first kiss under the Jr. High bleachers. Sorta.

Where was I? Oh yes. Memories from MK. First off, the layout whacked me out. I kept getting to BTMRR and getting thwarted by a misplaced dead end. What is WITH that?! The fact that there was no New Orleans Square was most discombobulating, as well. It just wasn’t DLR that I had practically grown up in, and I was veritably confusticated!

The other thing that I managed to dredge up was the first time I let my kids onto an attraction- ALONE…

Despite being disoriented half the time, we had a great day, and evening wore on. Little Peanut had fallen asleep, but there were still hours before the park closed. What to do? What to do? Duh! Ride rides until they called Orange County Sheriff to kick us out. The kids really wanted to go on HM again, so we ambled over that way. I remember the park was pretty empty, and there was hardly any line- maybe even none at all. So I sent them on their merry way while I sat with Peanut at the exit. They had STRICT instruction to stay together and all that, and really I wasn’t too worried. 5minutes, 10 minutes, hmm….. 15 minutes. Um OK, 16 minutes- Phew! OK, good. Crisis averted. They didn’t have to call OC Sheriff after all, at least not to rescue my kids from 999 Happy Haunts. The National Guard was not summoned, and the FBI got a break that day. No really! It wasn’t that bad. They loved it, and asked to go on again. So I let them.

I don’t think my parents ever did show up that day. I don’t remember. I don’t care. But I do remember that we also visited Tom Sawyer’s Island too that day. TSI is way different in Florida, but I can’t exactly recall how. I just remember it was different. Is there a rope bridge? I think we played on a rope bridge.

After a super long day, we boarded a cute little boat with a merry little horn, and sleepily, but happily, made our way back to the Fort. It was cold. And about to get colder….

It still discombobulates me! TSI is way different but other than no lunch CS at Aunt Polly's I can't put my finger on it either.

Maybe if I get REALLY lucky...or REALLY sneaky, I'll get to visit the original in April. I do have the beginnings of a plan in that area....

What a great day you had!

:worship::worship::worship: 4 kids with both parents..

Is there even a smilie for ultimate worship for doing MK with 4 kids solo?

The fact that you don't remember too much about how hard that was is a good sign.

I'm with Jordan on this one Liesa..you must have had the patience of a saint! I don't think someone could pay me to take 4 young kids to WDW by myself..well..maybe they could, but I wouldn't come cheap!! :rotfl: Very cool flashback :)

I vote for really sneaky. It's more fun to come up with creative ways to finagle, persuade, entice,- whatever it takes.

In hindsight it was kinda fun. We didn't go great gonzos, but really enjoyed the things we did get to do. Did I mention that I'm just over-the-top estatic that they are out of diapers?

Good morning, Leisa. Just wanted to drop in and say hi and Happy New Year in case I don't get a chance to later (waiting to hear from my brother who may be out of a job today).

I'm here~ Back from Disney, Christmas, and other fun.... What'd I miss?

Good Evening, Kathy! happy new year to you too!! This year will hold a ton of changes for us. Hope I'm ready...

Sounds like your brother may be in for some as well!! Good thoughts going his way.

You're back!!! Hooray (well for us, not so much for you, though).

The biggest thing is that you were a co-winner in Rations Drop Round 1. You need to PM me your address so I can send your prize :)

You know, I have never been able to eat at Columbia Harbor House? Every time I try to go there, it's closed. This is like a theme for me in the Magic Kingdom, it's like the park is sucking me into Casey's even when I try to try new things. :lmao:

I know what you mean about your first time.. (at a restaurant, of course). We continue to go back to Biergarten, even though no one likes the food, just because I remember it so fondly from my trip as a kid with my grandparents. Of course, you said you like the food at CHH, so I guess thats not exactly the same... but close enough!

Yeah, 4 kids, one parent? :scared1: :worship:

My mom & sister swear that the chicken strips at Columbia Harbor House are the best they have ever had!

Great retro MK update! Would you believe that in all the trips to the world I've taken I have never been on Tom Sawyer Island? Insane I know. It's on my "next time" list.

Hiya there, Leisa. I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather's passing. I understand about feeling bittersweet concerning watching Up (which I adore, by the way). I have an association in my own mind between Pinocchio and a miscarriage I had a number of years ago (long story, probably would only make sense to me), and it's still hard for me to watch it.

My guess for the ration drop clue is: Wolfgang Puck Express

Veritably confusticated - that's fantastic! :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Love the update.

That's like me and El Pirata. I adore Mexican food, and would love some tacos, but never any such luck.

I never have to be "sucked" into Caseys- it invites, I gratefully, and lustfully accept. :lmao:

See!? I knew someone would "get it". It's like a romantic relationship with a restaurant- loving it, warts and all. Except CHH has no warts.

My mom & sister swear that the chicken strips at Columbia Harbor House are the best they have ever had!

Maybe becuase the capt. of the Flying Dutchman blessed them? I'd eat anything blessed by Jack Sparrow!

Yes, I'd believe it. Your girls are girly girls, and GENERALLY speaking, TSI is more geared towards boys. Believe it or not, you may have to wait for an all adults trip to get over there.

4 kids by yourself?! :worship: I don't know how you did it, but you are awesome!

It was kinda fun. I don't remember any meltdowns at all. My kids are really easy going (they have had melt-down moments) and are used to going with the flow. Makes for easy touring! :thumbsup2

Phew! YOu just squeaked in! I"m about to reveal the answer, right now!

I can almost see that about Pinocchio. Dreams coming true, being a parent, a REAL boy. Yes, I"ve had 2 little ones see Heaven before me, so I do "get it". I don't think being reminded is always such a bad thing; brings hope for a future :)

Veritably confusticated - that's fantastic! :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Love the update.

THANKS!! I can't remember where I first learned that word! Maybe I made it up; love that one!
