Kim - So sorry to hear that news. We had a similar tragedy with a young man from our home town here a little more than a year ago. These kids just don't realize what consuming so much alcohol can do to you. Having two sons, it's something that I worried about with my oldest (now almost 24), and something I'll worry about again as my younger ds (14) grows and goes off to college. My prayers are with the family.

I am starting to get worried about my mental health..I usually have my suitcases out and throwing stuff in them as I think of it..so far, nada...
True that I no longer have a spare room that can hold the clutter but shouldn't I at least have my suitcases out of the closet..

I am jealous of some of these countdown clocks!! I am wishing lots of PD for magical trips!!

Our contact list is almost ready....I am waiting on one bit of info from 1 vet....stay tuned.

I am thinking I am going to call and make our ressies pretty soon....I can't wait!!

I was thinking about sending the WL a sob story about this being my mom's first trip since my dad died and I would like a nice upgrade if possible...do you think this would work or is that wrong??

Because they have asked us not to fax the Resort, I would wait and just mention it to the CM at check-in, you may have more luck that way.

Thanks...I feel like a butt-head asking for special favors, but I could never afford what my mom deserves.
After this past 2 years watching your soulmate of 50+ years slowly turn to a shell...she REALLY deserves much more!

Never feel bad about trying to get your Mom the best, MOM'S ROCK I would do anything for my Mom. Have owned at DVC Villas at Wilderness Lodge for several years now and I still haven't been able to take my Mom, this just breaks my heart. (my Dad has asbestosis and every time I try and take them my Dad gets sick) Now I think he is afraid to go anywhere and my Mom would never go without him.

yeah..my mom wouldn't leave my dad's side for 2 years...unless he was in the hospital, then she would go to church..

I just want to give her a great trip. The last time (and only time on property) was 6 years ago when CBR first opened. She thought it was so great...so I really want her to be blown away by our "home"

Question - Does anyone know if Thunder Mountain is still closed??
