Read your report on Concierge at The WL...YOU GO GIRL. I have been thinking about upgrading my trip in Nov if my Mom comes with me I'll try.

Majestic: I remember Miguel from a trip report by The Legend he said Miguel was the best.

Fred, that's great. We got the wine but I didn't even think to ask about the beer. You betcha the next time we go concierge, we'll be askin'!

MAGICinMYHEART - thanks

We thought all the concierge staff members were great. Oh, and I need to mention Frank - the bellhop. He was wonderful too.

help a newbie out...How do I put a picture at the end of my post....I MUST APPEASE THE TAG FAIRY!!

Im packing, YAY. Doing last minute laundry. Next 3 days I go to work, so not much spare time after today. Im off to the airport real early Sat morn then to the glorious WL. I have PS on Sat night at Chef Mickeys at 6:30
:Pinkbounc

I just packed my volunteer Park Ranger shirt and my son his Boy Scout shirt in hopes we can be a WL Flag Family. Send some PD our way, maybe we'll get lucky. Imagine if I wear my shirt and people at the lodge think I work there like Ranger Stan. LOL. Well I could tell them about nature related things.

Well, Im still mulling over whether to rent a car I have a reservation), or take car service and use Disney busses. Geez, if this is my only problem in life, Im in good shape. Ive been known to be 11th hour on alot of things, so guess this will go right to wire with a decision.

Question: Can WL residents park closer to the lodge? I remember having to park way in back when I had PS for WCC in the past. Or, is that for valet only?

Woo, Ill be a WL vet when I return.

::yes::

Go to the homepage on the dis-site and scroll down. There is a tech section. Go to it and they have posts on how to do it and even where to test it (it took me several attempts and by using this area to test it I did not have to embaress myself and take up valuable space here).

Good luck, if I can do it anyone can.

Fred.....congrats on the new tag....it is well deserved!!

Starz......wishing lots of PD for a great trip with low crowds, great weather and lots of magic::MickeyMo :wizard:

KCDISDAD.....I think your DD line about the WL should be their new motto....it really is a dream come true!!

You go girl. Have the time of your life, the Magic awaits at the Lodge. Good luck & PD on being the flag family.Parking is first come, first spot. It's not that bad of a walk. Don't fret the car, as I am sure it will come to you.
Weather has been fantastic for the past two weeks. Need a light jacket or sweater for in the eveinings.

KCDISDAD
Is your heart out of your throat by now: LOL

Congrat to the Vets for a fine showing on the BATTLE OF THE Concierge

starz723,

Pixie Dust and Magical Wishes coming your way, have a wonderful trip.

Also, you might want to go to EPCOT (if you are planning to go) on the weekdays, we were there on Saturday and they are having the Food and Wine Festival and there were record crowds. It was actually fun, though, seeing EPCOT that crowded again. We were bumper to bumper.

Again have a magical time. :D

Thanks for your help Liv2C!!! You are an angel!

Have a great trip, be sure to report back with all the details.

:wizard: PIXIE DUST:wizard: for your journey, and on being Flag Family.

Don't forget your instructions for THE MEMORY BOX.

Don't forget meeee. "Oh" that right I'm not going.pirate:

Thanks to all for your wonderful comments. I must say that I had many "lump in my throat" moments on this trip. As high as my expectations were for this trip (largely in part to all the enthusiasm on this thread), I can honestly say they were exceeded on a daily basis. All the extra hugs and little magic moments you experience at Disney are definitely worth all the planning and money. ;)

To all of you lurkers (I was one for weeks on this thread), don't be shy about jumping in and asking questions. The people who anchor this thread are THE GREATEST!!!::yes::

DH and I decided on Saturday, 10/18/03 to head over to EPCOT to the Food and wine Festival. It was a great, fun time. It was also very crowded. The CM in the parking lot said they were expecting record crowds. Believe me it was bumper to bumper. But it was good to see that may people at EPCOT again.

Around 3:30pm, we decided to hop on over to the Wilderness Lodge to relax a little and to search for "Father Fred's Memory Box". Directions in hand, I read them aloud to my DH (being a former boyscout he was a huge help) and we began our hunt. We found the box, no problem thanks to Marcel. Fred, very good hiding place. ::yes:: We signed the card, and left a napkin (unusued, of course) from the Food and Wine Festival in the box. That was really fun, it felt like we were on a scavenger hunt, me reading the directions and Marcel searching out the "memory box".

Thanks "Father Fred", was a great idea. We can't wait until we go again in December to see what additions are left in the box. :D

Aww dizneykid.... Glad you had a good time and thanks for sharing your experience with us. :wave2:

Awww:grouphug:
Thanks so much for all your good wishes and pixie dust. I really appreciate it.

I can hear the WL Lobby music now. In fact, I got the list from Debs site WDW site. I love the WL lobby music..Im listening to Big Country right now by the London Philharmonic.

I remember the last time I was there (Dec, 02) I was on one of the floors just hanging out and didnt want to leave. Ive been to WL so many times, but never had the $$ to stay there. Thanks to FTP I can get a whole 7 day:earseek: :teeth:

I have about 2/3rds of all the music that I managed to hunt down on CDs that I special ordered and found on auction because some were out of print. I am working on seeing if I can do some type of internet radio station to share with everyone.

FloridaCat has even had a chance to sample a taste of it. :teeth:

More info as I get it and time allows. :)

Fred

Wow Fred..thats so great. You have a winner of a CD. Let us know the songs you have. I cant get all of them myself.

I even called Mercantile and the front desk asking them if they had a CD they played and could I buy it. When they said they didnt sell it I was kinda taken back. Disney has all their music on CD's and no WL! As a musician, my take is that they would have alot of "red tape" getting the publishing companies to come together with a compilation. Its easier for them to pay either ASCAP or BMI for the licensing and just play it from their own compilation. The writer of the song gets paid every time it gets played, albiet, only a few cents per play, but times that with all the spins that WL gives. Woo, hefty ASCAP/BMI royalty.

Hello Everybody!!

I have not been able to get on the boards for 2 nights now, so I decided that maybe I'd try a little earlier and see what happens. And here I am. Has anybody else been having any trouble getting on? I tried for an hour last night, and couldn't get a page to load
Anyway, Liv2cdworld-I'm glad that it was not what you expected and that your DH is ok. Life can be so scary sometimes. But God is good, and prayer is powerful, and I know we were all praying for you.......not to mention the tons of pixie dust! :wizard:
