I might flameher pretty soon. I am already stressed because I had to drop the baby off at daycare - for the first time. Normally DH does it and I play hero and pick her up in the afternoon. So I already had "tears of sadness" (good phase, BTW) and then I had to read THAT POST!!! Defacing nature by placing rocks in an X formation? Get real.

Fred - I think you should ask a Mod to lock the thread...stop the insanity...then when you get a new box, start fresh and keep the idea of the private location.

I live in Florida, so rude people don't shock me anymore, but to try to say that it is a security issue is assine(sp?)

It looks like we will be staying at WL instead of POR in May since it's not that much difference in price. Will a standard room be okay? We were upgraded from POR to WL for part of our last trip and had a courtyard view but we really can't afford that right now. Also has the refill mug design changed? This is not me asking if I can bring my old one back - don't want to start a debate. I just like to collect them and if the design is the same I won't plan on buying one - we never seem to refill the mug enough anyway to make it worth while. But if the design is new I'll get one to add to my collection. I'm so excited to go back to the lodge!!

The mug design is the same...but they have gotten rid of the big fat one...I like the skinny one better now...it fits in my car cup holder..I bought one again this year and made SURE i got my $$ worth!

In my opinion ANY room is a good one at WL! I think I did read that it changed not long ago....if you are a collector there are 2 different sizes, maybe you could get the one you don't have?

I didn't know they had a skinny one - all that was out was the big fat one so that is the one I got. I think I'll have to get the skinny one for my collection. Cool - gotta earmark those disney dollars now lol.

What a crazy day on the Memory Box thread!!!

It always amazes me what people will say on a board. I bet half of the things typed would never be said face to face. One downside to this 'anonymous' web world we have!

I hope you find a way to 'hide' a new one! I loved the idea!

I guess it's just a "reminder" for us all that there are trolls lurking around.......Here, there, everywhere.........Sometimes they post, sometimes they don't........

I doubt very much that a CM threw it away. During my stays, seeing that I had a small child, several of them told me in a Motherly way to make sure everything is labeled w/ a name & address. If found, Disney will make every attempt to return "it". It's just the "Disney way".......

Rick had a great closing post, what perfect timing. I don't often see him on this brd.

WOW!!! I go awol for a day and come back to this. All I can add is I was shocked to read the negativity. I was really taken back.

Amazing how someone can find negativity in something so pure. Bring on the light sabers my friends, that was the darkside talking.

Wow...just got finished reading the memory box thread from the past few days. Bad enough everyone was feeling sad about losing the box, but to have the thread turn into the debate board was utterly depressing.

As most of us I'm sure have learned over the years (unfortunately none of us are 18 anymore ) there are people in the world who have empty lives. The only way these people can attempted to make themselves feel good is by trying to bring other people down.

I am not going to rehash all the absolutely inane things said by some people, all I want to say is thank god for people like Fred and the other good hearted WL'ers. How anyone can turn something so innocent and fun into something negative is beyond me.

Thanks for all the support everyone. I really do appreciate it. I asked a mderator to lock the thread so that I can move on and forget today's antics. Sadly, they also decided to close another thread I started about water. That too got pretty hostile.

I have gotten a boat load of PMs from numerous people with support. It's nice to be recognized for the things you do.

As of right now, I'm not sure if I will do another box or not. I feel that it will be a target from this day forward. I'm not sure I want to set myself up for today again.

I am working on a few ideas that I may go forward with. Who knows.

For now, I just look forward to the end of today and the beginning of a new day tomorrow.

Thanks again to my "friends" for everything.
