I have so enjoyed reading your TR! It sounds like you both had a wonderful trip!

Cammie - I'll be thinking of you and your sweet DD and praying that all goes well. Please let us know how the surgery goes if you get a chance.

Once again I am so glad that I "met" you reading your TR and I look forward to meeting you for real in November!!:thumbsup2

This was an awesome trip report and I wish my mom would do a mother-daughter trip but it would be all three of us girls! Sadly she's no Disney freak.

Prayers for your older DD!

Can't wait to read your Nov. TR!

I just started reading your TR and love it. Can't wait for more and hope to one day take my DD on a mother daughter trip. Right now we just do family trips, but she is only 3 so we have a few years.

God bless, tomorrow, my friend! Will be thinking of you and wishing your DD a speedy recovery!

DD sat and sulked about leaving.........

i hear ya, lauren! i feel the same way every time i leave! :sad1:

a little advice about your upcoming trip with relatives: if you guys don't tour the parks at the same speed or not everyone wants to do their own thing, then spilt up and meet each other later! don't get your feelings hurt over it and explain to them that they shouldn't either. everyone should enjoy their vacation without stressing over the other people there. that's what cell phones are for. ;) when anna, chris and luke met us this past trip on our last day (haven't gotten that far in my TR yet!), we did that a few times and it was great because we didn't always want to do exactly what they did.

i will be thinking about your DD, you and your family in the next few days! :goodvibes i'm sure everything will go fine. let us know how things are when you can.

The last day is always so sad, I never want to leave Disney either.

Hope everything goes well with your daughter's surgery.

hey your trip report was awesome can't wait to read your next one popcorn::

Great trippie and great pics! Loved your DD's hair. It sounds like you guys had a fabulous time!

I followed your link over here & just finished your trip report :)

What a great trip & what a gorgeous daughter!!!

I hope everything goes well with your older DD's surgery.

I know that Cammie has some loyal readers on this TR so I don't think she'll mind if I give you an update on her DD.

She had surgery Tuesday morning, and despite the doctors estimation of 3 days in ICU, she did so well that Cammie took her home yesterday where she will continue to care for her.

She said she hopes to be back on the DIS sometime today.

Hi everyone! Just popping in for a quick update!

I'm glad my buddy Kara posted the good news: my remarkable daughter was discharged yesterday! Her recovery, so far, has exceeded any of her doctor's expectations. (for you parents out there - don't ever underestimate the strength of your kids!) The surgeon came into her room at 7am yesterday and asked me if I wanted her to "hang out" in ICU for a few more days or take her home that afternoon? DUH! What do YOU think? We already had one foot out the door!

We'll continue to manage her pain at home but so far, she seems to be doing fine with regular doses of Motrin. I have the stronger drugs if needed though! :thumbsup2 Amanda will be spending the weekend at her dad's so that will leave me some time to catch up on my rest and the Disboards! I'll respond to posts soon and make a decision about my pre-TR!

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers everyone! I truly believed it helped!:)

popcorn:: :sad1: Loved it, Cammie. I just read thru the entire thing! How lucky you are that you got to do this w/Lauren. What wonderful memories you have made. You are such an awesome mom! This just made me miss my girls so much! DH and I enjoy the quiet week and couple time while the girls are away, but being Mom is my main job, and I miss the girls when they aren't with me for days (they're at my parents this week). I try to do individual things w/each of them, but know that I need to do more. For us, it's usually "girl outings" w/out Dad. Megan just turned 15 in July, and we are still exrtremely close. She is feeling the growing pains, and I am struggling w/giving her space and "letting her go".

You have two beautiful, blessed girls!

Cammie-

Thanks for the absolutely wonderful update on your daughter!!:cool1: :cool1: Hope she continues to do well!!

So happy to hear how well she did! I know you must be relieved, take it easy, get some rest and catch up with us whenever you can.

Yay!!! So happy to hear such a great update on your daughter!!:yay: :yay: Thanks for tellin us the good news!:goodvibes

Can't wait to have that toast! Mine was on the 9th.:goodvibes

We will, most definitely, be having that toast to our birthdays!

I know, me too! And I'm really looking forward to it!!!!

Great report, Cammie - I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and reliving your mother/daughter trip - makes me look forward to mine in November even more! Great job!

You and Ally are going to have so much fun together - you may never want to bring Jeff along again!;)

Hiya Cammie -

really enjoyed the trip report, sounds like you both had a great time. I thought WL looked good - though I mistakenly added 2 of the photos of the lobby together in my head - it looked REALLY tall!!!!:lmao:

Looking forward to the pre-trip - even if you already did some of it it is still good for us occasional visitors to see the planning a regular does.......

Tessa

Thanks Tessa! The lobby IS very tall; I'm sure what you're imagining is not far from the reality!

Cammie, best of luck on the surgery tomorrow, I'll keep Amanda in my prayers. And HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! pixiedust: :cake: pixiedust: I wish we were going the same week in November as you guys, but we'll be battling the crazy Thanksgiving week crowds.:scared: Can't wait for that November pre-trippie.....(maybe I'll get my act together and start one myself). Have a great day!

:flower3: Anne:flower3:

Thanks so much - Amanda did great! And I had a wonderful birthday also! You're pretty brave to take on the Thanksgiving week crowds. I seriously think we're a few years away from going during that time also. It's just going to get harder and harder to pull DD from school; may have to take advantage of those holidays.

Loved your report! What great memories for you and Lauren.

I'll be saying a prayer for Amanda (and you) tomorrow. :flower3:

Thanks Michelle! I really do think the extra prayers and good thoughts helped. Amanda did so much better than expected. I'm so proud - I want to buy her a great, big "something" - just don't know what! Glad you enjoyed the report!

Thanks for this one. It was great!:thumbsup2

No need to feel guilty; glad you enjoyed the TR! And I think I've created another tradition in our family - DD wants to do this every year!

I have so enjoyed reading your TR! It sounds like you both had a wonderful trip!

Thanks! We did have a wonderful trip; but, then again, it's Disney - we ALWAYS have a wonderful time!

Cammie - I'll be thinking of you and your sweet DD and praying that all goes well. Please let us know how the surgery goes if you get a chance.

Once again I am so glad that I "met" you reading your TR and I look forward to meeting you for real in November!!:thumbsup2

I'm so glad we met too, Kathy. I'm really looking forward to meeting you and the rest of the girls in November!

This was an awesome trip report and I wish my mom would do a mother-daughter trip but it would be all three of us girls! Sadly she's no Disney freak.

Prayers for your older DD!

Can't wait to read your Nov. TR!

Thanks for the kind words. And you and your sisters MUST turn Mom into a Disney freak! There's something for everyone of all ages - you would have such a blast!

I just started reading your TR and love it. Can't wait for more and hope to one day take my DD on a mother daughter trip. Right now we just do family trips, but she is only 3 so we have a few years.

It's never too early to start those mother/daughter trips!;)

God bless, tomorrow, my friend! Will be thinking of you and wishing your DD a speedy recovery!

Thanks Ellen! And.......your wish came true - she DID have a speedy recovery!

i hear ya, lauren! i feel the same way every time i leave! :sad1:

Oh Dawn - I'm way ahead of you! I've pretty much made my schedule and let my sister figure out what she wants to be a part of. She's not a planner at all, so she seems pretty agreeable to what I'm doing; and she's been receptive to most of my suggestions. Fortunately, we're all only there together for three days, so that should be make it more bearable. I'm not very good with the art of compromise when it comes to my Disney trips!

Thanks for your good thoughts for Amanda; she did great!

The last day is always so sad, I never want to leave Disney either.

Hope everything goes well with your daughter's surgery.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who suffers from total sadness on departure day; so it must be perfectly normal for a grown woman to feel this way?

hey your trip report was awesome can't wait to read your next one popcorn::

Thank you! It's nice to hear I will have some readers for the next one. It's just now a little over three months away!:cool1:

Great trippie and great pics! Loved your DD's hair. It sounds like you guys had a fabulous time!

We did! As for DD's hair - quick bit of info for all of you: she kept it in for 4 WEEKS!:scared1: Too long, IMO! But her cousins were visiting the week of the 18th and she wanted them to see it. Well, it had gotten very fuzzy on top; when we took the braids out, you should have seen all the hair that came out!:scared: We could have made our own little "Cousin It" walking around! Someone told me that if you get the braids, you should sleep with a bandana on your head to protect them.

I followed your link over here & just finished your trip report :)

What a great trip & what a gorgeous daughter!!!

I hope everything goes well with your older DD's surgery.

Awww - thanks for the compliments! And, everything went really well, and, as of today, still is!(knock on wood!)
