We would like to go see the light, motors, action stunt show at the studios. Does the wheelchair seating often get booked? How is the heat from the explosion that close?

How is the heat from the explosion that close?
My dad always uses an wheelchair when we go to Disney and the 3 times we've seen this show the wheelchair seating was always at the top row of the stadium so heat from the explosion was never a problem. We also had shelter from the sudden rain storms that come up in FL. We usually do a fast pass for the show and when we come in they send us to the elevators and up to the top rows of the stadium seating. There are lots of seats and we've never seen those all full however on our last trip my mom did see wheelchair seating down lower and wondered why we had never been directed to that area as it always takes awhile to get all the wheelchairs down from the top level after the show is over. I don't know when they use the lower vs the top level as we've entered as soon as they started filling and then again closer to show time and always seen it from up top.

I've seen both areas in the upper level wheelchair seating fill up. I'm guessing that once those fill up they send people to the lower levels.

You do feel the heat on the upper levels but I don't think there is any spot in the entire auditorium that doesn't feel some of the heat. It's not that bad for me but if you're sensitive be prepared for a hot breeze.

That's what we've seen. They seem to fill the upper level first. Probably because it takes a while to get up there, they fill those first and leave the lower seats for closer to when the show is starting since people can get to those faster.
We were in the lower seats and I can't say it was especially warm. Yes, you felt the heat, but not uncomfortable.

The last time we went, they had not counted the wheelchair parties before we went in. When we were almost to the elevators, they sent up one elevator full of people who came right back down because the upper area was already full. We were taken to the lower area, which also filled up. AND, I know there were some people with wheelchairs who did not get into that show, even though they were already in the auditorium area. A CM had been sent to do a count and report back to the CM at the elevator while we were waiting there. I think the elevator CM said they had about 10 spots left; I could see 10 groups before the line of people with wheelchairs/ECVs went around the corner where I couldn't see them.

Just remember that although the heat isn't such a challenge in the higher seats, the noise is still way too loud IMO. I feel that it's loud enough to cause hearing loss let alone be at a level that is tolerable. If anyone has noise sensitivity, forget this show. I had a headache for the rest of the day, I felt badly for my service dog who tolerates everything but I know she endured misery too...and I don't usually have an issue with noise including fireworks.---Kathy

Everyone is right - I think they fill the upper WC/ECV areas first before filling up the bottom ones. We got in there early, but my friend (she was in an ECV) had to go to the restroom, so we ended up having to sit in the bottom area. (The guy had told us, when we veered off towards the restrooms, that the seating fills up quickly.)

You do feel the heat (it was uncomfortable for me - but it only lasts a few seconds) and it is an extremely loud event (note to self: bring earplugs next time), but I was able to get through it and I enjoyed it (thought is was really interesting) even though I have sensory problems.

My service dog didn't like the noise, but I did keep the little spray bottle fan turned on for her 'cause it was hot out and we were in the sun, if I recall correctly. I also misted her down a few times with the pump mister (I love that thing! LOL).
