What times have the show been scheduled? Is it a FastPass attraction and if so, do you recommend one?

It is a FP attraction
We missed this last week but here are the scheduled times.

Daily-
1:00pm , 3:55pm , 6:40pm

I have heard that this is a large venue so I'd just wait to walk up .
I'm sure you'd get good seats anywhere in there.

Large venue, yes, but get a Fastpass! I couldn't believe it earlier this month. We arrived about 20 minutes prior to the 1 pm show, and the cast members were already telling everyone in the standby line that they could not guarantee that everyone would get in, UNLESS you had a "Fastpass". They kept encouraging everyone in the standby line to get a "Fastpass" for the 3:55 show. Soon the standby line began moving...but not too far. We didn't get in!!! I couldn't believe it. MGM was packed that day. Hopefully, we'll get to see the show in November.

We were there last Wednesday (6/22) and walked up to the 6:40 show. Since it was the last show of the day, I was a little worried we wouldn't get in but we had no problem. Our seats were in the end of the far right section, but we could see everything very well. We loved this show and I'm so glad we didn't miss it! It is a very large venue...I would imagine you'd get in stand-by on all but the most crowded days.

When we went in May we got a fastpass for the first show. But I am pretty sure we were able to get fastpasses for other attractions before the show. We arrived at MGM right after opening and got our fastpasses. This was something my DH really wanted to see. We all enjoyed the show and we were glad we had fastpasses for it.

I'd get a FASTPASS just to be on the safe side.

How does fast pass work on this?
If you get a fast pass for the show am I right in thinking you can't use fp on any of the rides until show has finished?

How early do you need to be to get a FP?
Sorry if I seem thick !

It's not linked to other FP attractions so you can get another FP immediately - I think it says 10 minutes after you get the LMA fastpass.

I thought I had seen these different times before but how come the park hours page here on DIS only shows one showing per day at 5:30pm?

I can see where the confusion might come in - the parade is "Stars in Motorcars" Parade. The stunt show is "Lights, Motors, Action!"
