Lights! Motor! Asian?--Feb 2010 Part II. 11/6-Pix, part 2. Page 199.

Thank you for the links, I am all caught up.

The trip sounds like a fun time.

Sorry for the personal problems, hope the treatment will help. If I was closer I would visit.

Looking forward to reading more.

I would like it noted that I had nothing to do with the cereal conversation......

after reading all of that I think biscuits and sausage may be the only safe breakfast food..

Chapter 34. Guess what and other haps in my life

So this last weekend or extended weekend was quite eventful.

On Friday I babysat for the kids. Kim and Allen were in town for a wedding and Wendy, Derek and K and A went out for an adult dinner (no...not a dinner at a strip club, a dinner without kids...). Wendy and Derek treated because...............

Kim and Allen are now engaged.

Sunday-Wednesday. I drove Wendy's mom (my aunt), my parents and my cousin Jill to Palm Desert to hangout at the Westin-Desert Willow. My other aunt and uncle joined us. It was a great time to relax and reflect.

My cousin and I spent Monday and Tuesday by the pool:

Okay, I'm like 10 pgs late to comment on this but we've been a little busy....dude, I should have corrected you from the beginning of this TR, but it's "Allan", not "Allen". Glad you enjoyed staying at Westin Desert Willows (WDW) again without us while we pay the bills...alas, it's tough to be the responsible adults in the family.....so many kids and dependents....(I'm thinking of claiming you for this year's taxes). BTW, amazingly we still have enough left over time share points (if you don't spend them before WE get a chance to use them) to visit your Wisconsin buddies, Dave & Mary, for a week in Scottsdale in late August. Need to sync up our schedules.

P.S. Glad I'm not the only one who's wondering about your photo of Jill in the hammock. I guess Jill is becoming the new Wendy (in terms of being Jordan's best gal pal cousin who is confused as your girlfriend. Hope Kevin doesn't kick your butt for taking photos of Jill..but honestly, I know he'd just laugh about it).

Kim and allen are very happy. She was completely surprised and wasn't expecting it at all.:thumbsup2

I may or may not have cried at TS3

The resort is gorgeous and quiet.

Tai Chi Jordan needs to actually do Tai Chi...I'd probably be less stressed
Actually, I was on the inside track about Allan's proposal plans since Feb. when we hung out and had a "man to man" talk about his intentions with Kim while watching the Super Bowl in WDW. It was good to hear that marriage plans were not an "if" but "when". I didn't want to spill the beans on the proposal since this is Jordy's TR.

Allan mentioned that he wanted to do something special but didn't know what. He ended up proposing to Kim on the beach in Santa Barbara as all other options (proposals in Central Park since they live in New Jersey, East Coast Beaches, etc.) were all played out by others. Kim's roommate, Marcy, caught the proposal frame by frame and as Allan got down on one knee, you could see her reaction as if to say, "are you serious". Obviously he was and now it looks like we'll have more weddings to attend in 2011 (Wendy's cousin Ashley from Hawaii is getting married in November).

We'll see if they get married in Santa Barbara or in New Jersey but we offered to host a backyard reception if they wanted to keep to a budget for West Coast friends and family.
:woohoo:

They are VERY happy and I couldn't be happier for them. They just match..hard to describe.

You're dead inside if you don't at least get dust in your eye.........
I guess this proves that I'm "dead inside" since I was watching Wendy tear up during Andy's goodbye to Woody and the gang in TS3 while I was just wondering to myself, "what's the big deal?" I mean there wasn't some sappy Sarah McLachlan song like in TS2.
Drinking and hammocks probably not a great combination...:rotfl2::rotfl2:
I suppose you would be the best to know this first hand. Your statement harkens back to your glory days at CBR when Wendy and I used to tell you to just crash out in a hammock when you were too drunk to make it back to the room. You've always had something for hammocks.:confused3

All I have to say about my dad and me...the apple didn't fall too far from the tree.

You mean there's two of you??? :scared1:

Can't wait to hear that story...popcorn::

Well, it wasn't intentional. :lmao:

I'd planned a spa day at the GF with my mom on my last family trip. I knew there were going to be three DISers there getting pedis around the same time, and we planned to meet before we all had separate ressies to tea that afternoon.

I don't post pictures of myself on the DIS...well, at least that you can see my face in, so nobody really knows what I look like.

Imagine my surprise, when after my treatments, hair looking a greasy mess from my massage, in walk the three lovely ladies I'm supposed to meet later. I look the them and smile, and then think, wait...they don't know who I am. :confused3 They just think I'm some crazy lady in a bathrobe.

So, I said what one can only say in such situations...

"Hi, I'm Kat from the DIS."

:rotfl2: And that dear friend, is how you oh so suavely meet people in your bathrobe. I can honestly say I'll never forget it!

That restroom was definitely a highlight for me....is that weird to say that?

No! Recently, Tink(erbellarella) and I had tea in Boston at a really posh hotel, and the restroom was so nice, I had to take a picture. I posted her by the door to make sure we weren't found out.

I know this is an addiction I picked up from the DIS. :lmao:

Nope. Just like the steak and potatoes.
I think it will just have to be oatmeal for me.;)

Congrats to Kim and Allen!!

Speaking of bathrooms... ;) I love a beautiful peaceful bathroom - hard to find anywhere, especially at WDW. When the one near Lights, Motor Action first opened it was so clean, black/white/red. In the morning, before the show started, it would be so nice in there...no one would walk all the over there to use it so it was very clean and peaceful. Now it is not as nice even first thing after the park opens.

Love the pic of your dad, Jordan!

Oh my - what's going on over here? I don't think I'm going to be able eat cereal again after all of this talk! :rotfl:

Although if I must play along... Crunchberries?

John Wayne Bobbit

Frankenberry

That's all I'm gonna say.

It's better than Grapenuts....I'm just sayin.

I wish I could argue with that summary, but I can't, and I gotta go to bed. G'night all!

I go and watch Beverly Hills Chihuahua and there's two more pages to read!
Funny stuff too. I loved the chocolate Lucky Charms they had out for awhile! I have Coco Puffs and Frankenberry in my cupboard.

Twig and giggleberries?

:rotfl2:

I have a box of lucky charms on my pantry...and pretty sure I have eggs and bacon in the fridge. Sigh. I will have a hard time eating breakfast from now on. :p

Oh what a simple phrase like "Lucky Charms" will bring out in people....it's been a hilarious 48 hours. Thanks for all the laughs....It's been sorely needed in my life for sure....:thumbsup2

I believe you. ;) He was right at the entrance near where the Rainforest cafe is. You almost couldn't see him but it was so funny to me that he is sleeping there on the rocks.

I was looking at my pix today...more unusual sleeping places coming up.

You'll find it and if not I'll PM you my info. and then I can tell you in person what I wrote. :goodvibes

Well, high tale your butt out here and let's go see it! :goodvibes
