Lights! Motor! Asian?--Feb 2010 Part II. 11/6-Pix, part 2. Page 199.

Just did #1 for all three kids again...unfortunately, Erin & Dylan were like cats and dogs chasing (fighting with) each other all tonight and at one point crying in stereo and blaming each other for inflicting some pain on each other. I did what any responsible dad would do...I picked up child #3 and ran for the hills.

Fighting is one of the things my 2 do well together:laughing:

What, the bickering can go on until they're 18 and 21? What's the statute of limitations on returning kids to the hospital, no questions asked?

Yes the bickering goes on. I will say it is less physical than it was. It used to be knock down drag out
fighting.gif
but now it just hurling insults or ignoring each other. I do have to say, they were very close in size so I figured they were evenly matched so I usually let them work out the conflict :rolleyes1

Now in my defense, I was sleeping with Dylan and Ashlyn (on the floor as accused) getting them to fall asleep too and I, being such a thematic actor, played the sleeping role to a "t".:rolleyes1

Of course you were. Complete with snoring too?

Funny, but at this rate of their fighting, I (or they) might not make it to 65 (or age 30 for Erin and 27 for Dylan
I have used the phrase ' you are not going to make it to your next birthday at that rate" during those times.

OK...I should have known...all of a sudden, I stopped getting updates for this TR. Little did I know it was because you were already onto part two! WOW. Good reading. :thumbsup2

Good luck, we're stopping at 3 (although some folks keep pushing us for #4...:scared1:). I said we're broke with 3 and more broke with 4.

Thanks. :) DH and I actually do want one more...but we can't agree on when to start trying. I want to wait till 2012...when Keegan will be 5...DH doesn't care. And to be honest is probably thinking the sooner the better...as he turns 40 this year.:confused3

Fighting is one of the things my 2 do well together:laughing:

My brother is 31, my sister is 27 and I am 30. When we're all together we still have our moments of bickering/fighting. It never ends. :rotfl:

Camile, thanks for asking about my FIL, he's doing pretty well and is awaiting results from his 4th (and hopefully last) round of chemo. We're leaving it in God's hands. But unfortunately, we recently heard that one of Wendy's relatives has Lymphoma while another family friend of ours has been diagnosed with liver cancer. Lot's of challenges by the evil one.

Don't you just want to punch him in the face sometimes?!? I hope I'm part of the army that kicks serious devil butt some day! Sorry, it just makes me so dang mad to hear about another person being hurt by the enemy.

Yeah, sorry bro for usurping your TR during your absence, but your peeps know who the real rockstar is...

It's true, you rock Jordy! :rockband:

Cool, what a MOG (Man of God). We need more MOGs in this world. Congrats on Tyler's upcoming graduation and strong faith.

Thank you Derek. He really impresses me, and I'm not just saying this because he's my son, I know he's really on loan. He's God's all the way and I was the one to be blessed to get to raise him for all these years. I don't know what I did to deserve such great kiddos. Don't get me wrong, they both do plenty to try my patience, but I honestly can't say they've ever given me heartburn beyond the normal things. Praise Papa God for that! By the way, you do know the Mt's. I was refering to don't you? Do you know who Lance Wallnau is?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQbGnJd9poc

Derek, I think this will help if you don't know the teaching. I wish they didn't cut off part of it because it's truly fascinating to hear the whole thing. When he speaks in person he's a lot more fun to listen to. Maybe you can find more on youtube about his teaching, I think he goes into several if not all of the Mts. it's very good to watch if you have the chance.

Good luck with Mackenzie if she's like Erin...we're still holding out for miracles:worship::worship:

Mackenzie....well, is Mackenzie. She is a young woman who knows what she wants and some how attaches blinders to get there. She knows who she is and (if I don't mess it up) will do a great many things in life with a heart the size of Texas. She has true empathy and compassion unlike any other child I've seen, but the girl can go through a room like a tornado in a matter of seconds and make you wonder what the heck happened?!? I think it's a trait of someone who is creative if I'm not mistaken.

Tentative peepfest dates in June 2010 are:
  • Friday, June 15th-Sunday, June 24th WDW
  • Sunday, June 24th-Thurs, June 28th DCL 4-night
  • Thurs, June 28th-Mon, July 2nd WDW
with bonus trips tentatively planned for:
  • Saturday, Feb 4th-Friday, Feb 10th or
  • Saturday, Feb 11th-Friday, Feb 17th.

Abuse, what abuse? We're not torturing him, just yet:confused3
Good night, I'm packing it in tonight too...l8trs:wave2:

Thank you Derek. :thumbsup2 I'm pretty sure the dates will be in the first half of the trip orangecats. I might not be there the whole time, but I'll be there in the first leg of the trip.

Okay, I think I'm finally caught up..on the actual updates anyway! I'm not even going to try to read 60+ pages of the in-between chatter, though that can just as fun! Looking forward to staying caught up again..

I'm just so happy your back.

Fighting is one of the things my 2 do well together:laughing:

:rotfl: At least you can say they do something well together.

I have used the phrase ' you are not going to make it to your next birthday at that rate" during those times.

We use this too. :thumbsup2 "Keep it up son, and you won't make it to see your next birthday." Or this one is my favorite....Me-"If you don't stop that I'm going to beat you boy! Son-"Oh yeah?! How are you gonna beat me?" Me-" About the head and shoulders with your own limbs if you don't knock it off!" :rotfl: This one really gets us to laughing. :rotfl:

Wait, wait, wait, Jordan am I in the right spot? Cannot handle the confusion. Page 51 already? Huh? Really? I must pray to you :worship:

Here's some pics care of Dylan on my Mac tonight. Again, he did this on his own while I was attending to Ashlyn (with my permission).....maybe he wants to be Casper the friendly little ghost....apparently he's getting more sophisticated with using some of the photo effects in combination with the 4-panel photos....

Lol. I think he's probably passed out. :goodvibes

ETA: I have started my PTR...in WORD on my computer. :P I know...crazy...we're not going for an other year and a half and I'm starting a PTR. So, I'm not sure when I'll get it posted to the PTR forum, but I'll post a link once I do.

I know return you to your regularly scheduled TR. ;)

That's ok...we're not going (probbaly) for over two years and I'm tempted to start working on something. :lmao:

Lol. Good. Then I won't feel...wierd for posting it in the next month or so. Then again, this is the DIS boards and I'm sure there is at least one person (there has to be right?) whose started a PTR at least 18 months before their trip. Right m

Fighting is one of the things my 2 do well together:laughing:
Isn't it great to find out your kids' strengths and weaknesses? Ours kids' strengths is making our lives chaotic and their weakness is making our lives easy :rotfl:
Yes the bickering goes on. I will say it is less physical than it was. It used to be knock down drag out

lol, I totally imagined your kids going head to head in some of those bulky sumo wrestler outfits (like fat suits you put over your clothes) bumping into each other until they get pooped out. We could definitely use some of those suits.

Of course you were. Complete with snoring too?
Wow, could you hear my snores down South? My snores are gaining transcontinental strength (and not just transpacific strength up to WA to keep Djay and Cherie awake at night). The power of the snore!

I have used the phrase ' you are not going to make it to your next birthday at that rate" during those times.
We'll have to use that threat....it's more immediate than, "only 11 more years (Erin) until you're out of the house (to go to college, hopefully :worship:):rotfl2: But then again, I'm not sure they'll get the point of the threat.:confused3

I don't blame you....it's about 6 pages of updates by Jordan and 54 other pages of mischief (of which I'll take some blame):thumbsup2

In hindsight, I wished we had kids earlier in life so I wouldn't feel like such an old daddy to the wee little ones. At this rate, they'll have to wheel me around when they get to high school (or maybe I'll get one of those rentable scooters to keep up with them):drive:

My brother is 31, my sister is 27 and I am 30. When we're all together we still have our moments of bickering/fighting. It never ends. :rotfl:
Oh, great, something to look forward to for future family get togethers....I'll remember to invite our family attorney for Thanksgiving dinners to arbitrate between kiddies.:crowded:

Don't you just want to punch him in the face sometimes?!? I hope I'm part of the army that kicks serious devil butt some day! Sorry, it just makes me so dang mad to hear about another person being hurt by the enemy.
I hear you on spiritual warfare...got to put on the Armor of God
Ephesians 6:10-17 (New International Version)
10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Sorry to get on my soapbox but I thought this was appropriate.

Honestly, I hadn't heard of Lance Wallnau but I'll listen to the video/recordings when I get a chance. Thanks.

Sounds like Mackenzie is a WOG, like her brother who's a MOG...but I guess I'm aspiring for SOGs and DOGs (Sons and Daughters of God) or should I have said BOGs and GOGs (Boys and Girls of God)? :hippie:
Thank you Derek. I'm pretty sure the dates will be in the first half of the trip orangecats. I might not be there the whole time, but I'll be there in the first leg of the trip.
Hope you can make it. Would love to meet up at peepfest.

I last checked in with Jordy a couple of nights ago (offline on Facebook). I don't think he's fallen over in a ditch or anything....just taking some personal time off, which is understandable given the full time job requirements of this TR.:rotfl:Thanks for keeping an eye out for him:thumbsup2 But to quote another Bible verse, "I'm not my brother's (or cousin-in-law's) keeper" :lmao:

Sorry to get on my soapbox but I thought this was appropriate.

Mackie and I use to "put on," our armor on every day on the way to school. It's so cool to see your kids get into it.

Honestly, I hadn't heard of Lance Wallnau but I'll listen to the video/recordings when I get a chance. Thanks.

Your most welcome, when you listen to the link I sent you should see on the right a 1,2, and 3. If you don't find them let me know. Those will really break the entire thing down for you in a much better way. He may be a bit cerebral, but listen to what he has to say, at some point in the #3 it really starts to hit you what he's getting at as far as how it applies to everyday living...I think you'll be impressed and intrigued to say the least.

Sounds like Mackenzie is a WOG, like her brother who's a MOG...but I guess I'm aspiring for SOGs and DOGs (Sons and Daughters of God) or should I have said BOGs and GOGs (Boys and Girls of God)? :hippie:

She truly is. It's so cool to see. :goodvibes I love how kids love Him so freely, they aren't tainted or jaded.

Hope you can make it. Would love to meet up at peepfest.
:cool1:

My plan is to be there. It would be great to meet you, Wendy and the kids, I can't wait to meet everyone!! :yay:
I would like to be there the whole trip, but with it being a Friday travel day and out on and another not so good travel day coming home I don't think it will work financially to come or leave on those dates. We'll have to see, who knows what will be going on then and how the finances will pan out. :goodvibes

lol, I totally imagined your kids going head to head in some of those bulky sumo wrestler outfits (like fat suits you put over your clothes) bumping into each other until they get pooped out. We could definitely use some of those suits.
I have seen those suits and thought... that would make it safer. The day I came home from work (he must have been in middle school and she a freshman in high school to be home after school alone) my ds was coming out of the tub. Now, my son at that time had to be practically pulled into tub, this was not something he did on his own. So I knew something was up. :sad2:
Let's just say it involved a wood sword, a door and a bloody nose!:scared1:. Of course my first question was, " Is there any blood on the carpet or your clothes?" :rolleyes1 You know how hard that is to get out.:rotfl:
The fact remain that there is never 1 innocent party! They both do things to get to that point.

A couple more of the more memorable incidents were the great Mothers day water fight and the perpetual broken picture.

Wow, could you hear my snores down South? My snores are gaining transcontinental strength (and not just transpacific strength up to WA to keep Djay and Cherie awake at night). The power of the snore!

It is the air current that helps. :rotfl2:

Good Morning Peeps !!! Well semi vacation is officially over !! Did it really begin???:rotfl2:
I am officially getting on "my blue suede shoes" for June !!! We got the okay to be off together :banana:[/I]If we do well on this trip we are promised bigger trips ie DISNEY!!!!!!!:banana::banana:

On the subject of kids fighting !! Kyle and Steph are like oil and water :rotfl2::rotfl2:They do NOT mix !!! We often say we think Sammie was swithched at birth as she is definately the level headed responsible one !!!:thumbsup2But Steph is sensitive .. when Judy had surgery the morning of Steph was bawling and so afraid for her Mom !! Poor Judy was beside herself , dealing with her own apprenhension and Steph's fears !!!:scared1:

Well gotta run lots to do before work!!

Derek, good for Jordan for taking some much needed time away from his TR. This thing moves so fast at times it makes my head spin.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
