Just dropping by to share that I am looking at a blizzard outside right now.
I'll catch up later, I went to bed early last night, so I suppose I'm 20 pages behind by now...
I always looked forward to helping give my kids a bath. I gave three of the four their first baths.
I'll be praying for John and his family too. DH's uncle has a caringbridge too.
Where is everyone...WDW? It's so quiet here tonight.![]()

Here is a lesson for you all.......We went to Ripley's believe ot or not a few years back. WHen we walked in they had a video talking about tongue rolling. The video told you to try to do it in the mirror. So, being the person who always as told, I looked in the mirror and started rolling my tongue. I spent about 5 minutes playing in the mirror before DH said it was time to move along. We saw everything else in Ripleys and on our way out we saw a "window".......Turns out, the mirror was a 2 way! Yep, anyone passing through the end of the exhibit got to see the idiot Pyrate rolling her tongue!!!! I learned that day to never, ever trust Ripley's!![]()

#1...for all 3 kids...as I do most nights.....sigh....while Wendy is eating her bon bons (well, actually, it's spaghetti).![]()
I thought for sure Wendy was describing our house (most nights) but then I remembered we have a one story house (and no dog).....To follow up on my humbugging about what women do... a little humor for you today...
One afternoon a man came home from work to find total mayhem in his house. His three children were outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn all around the front yard. The door of his wife's car was open, as was the front door to the house. Proceeding into the entry, he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, and the throw rug was wadded against one wall. In the front room the TV was loudly blaring a cartoon channel, and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing. In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door.
He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she may be ill or that something serious had happened. He found her lounging in the bedroom, still curled in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel. She looked up at him, smiled, and asked how his day went. He looked at her bewildered and asked, "What happened here today?"
She again smiled and answered, "You know how every day when you come home from work and ask me what in the world I did today?" "Yes," was his incredulous reply. She answered, "Well, today I didn't do it."

I thought for sure Wendy was describing our house (most nights) but then I remembered we have a one story house (and no dog).....(love ya, Wendy
). And for the record, I did come home tonight to a family room strewn with toys all over but my MIL must have cleaned up because when I went to take a pic, it was semi-decent

Well, I did teach Ashlyn to take the kids clothes to the hamper at 20 months old and Dylan does clean his room most nights but as for Erin......we'll here's a typical night in her room....(this was from a few minutes ago...)Hahaha, that's a very good story.
My baby cousins at 3 have been taught to put their toys away. I video taped them cleaning up and it's the CUTEST thing! One of them was folding a blanket~!
Another 4 yr old cousin knows how to fold her own clothes too!![]()

Thanks for the encouragement....Dylan & Ashlyn's room is usually the cleanest..and for the record, Wendy does do the cleaning in the house and I owe her a Big Debt of Gratitude for cleaning up our office...now I can actually walk from the office door to the mac without wading through stuff. Thanks honey.Honestly, that's pretty clean for a kids room. I think my kids rooms would give you a heart attack if you think Erin's room is bad!![]()
