Lights! Motor! Asian?--Feb 2010 Part II. 11/6-Pix, part 2. Page 199.

I can't wait to hear about your trip to Pixar! I'm slightly jealous...;)

do you know when you're heading east?

It is such fun coming home from work to have 10 pages to read again-just like old times! I love the Mitsukoshi store and all the great stuff. I love wasabi peas and the spicy rice crackers. When we were in San Fransisco at the Japanese tea gardens we had them with a vanilla flavored taffy like candy wrapped in rice paper. I loved them but have not been able to find them anywhere. When my sister lived in Japan, she sent us great candy, but not that kind. They were so good!
Your road trip sounds awesome! If you do go near Pittsburgh or Erie I will definitely want to meet you along the way. I am 40 minutes from Pittsburgh, so if you are in my area we have lots of room with 2 in college in the fall-Ha Ha, and I will feed you very well!
I am just throwing the invite out there-but I could definitely drive to meet you if you aren't going this way. Yes, I would still bring you ribs and fixins!

Yes, it's like the old days.....

I'll have to stop by Marukai and check out the candy to see if they're are the vanilla taffy..I think I know what you're talking about.

Hmmm....PA.....I could just stop in for BBQ. I would love to see your place....

Not yet....do you know when you are gonna be in SoCal?

It would be after the 9th....Bailie is going to a concert in Portland with some friends so we are planning to leave from there the next day.

Might be cutting it close, but I won't know until I get into the program. I put down the 10th, but it may be later than that.

Here we are -minus Paul who is taking pic. The best part is when I told the kids to pose for Jordan, they did not ask why or who!

Yes! They hear me laughing and ask all about you-now my daughter wants me to go through your enormous TRs to find pics of your family and others doing the pose!

Chapter 38. Cross Country Trip

As most of you know, I may be traveling back East in the next few months to go into a recovery program. The program is located in Northern Kentucky and I will be there 6 months. I would need to be accepted into the program, but it sounds pretty promising.

At first, it didn't sound like i would be able to drive back, but now it looks like I will be driving back East. I would like to take my time doing so. So I will probably leave myself a week to get back there. All this means that I can visit people along the way. I kind of have it my head a few places I want to stop, but it's not set in stone in any way, shape or form yet.

Jordan's Cross Country Trip Map Edition
I hate to be the voice of reason (that seems to be my role when I'm with you and Wendy) but in order to fund your enormous cross country tour, food, gas and most importantly lodging....I suggest that you check out KOA camps along the way and invest in a decent tent. Coleman makes a 3 minute pop up tent. It will save you buckaroos when you do your trips and some KOA camps are decent with showers and stuff. I know you're not much of a camper but I figure you'll be burning through your support funds and may need support for your support (and I'm not talking about your underwear).

I heard from another GEMS dad during a father-daughter campout that his wife was planning to drive to Texas to visit family and was going to do the tent/KOA combo and plans to save major bucks along the way.

Just my two cents.
