Lights, Christmas tree's and FAKE snow nowhere else but Disney! New 1.22!

After dinner I headed out to the park again and it was all lit up. There is just something so magical at night with all the lights and music playing.

I made my way back to the World Showcase to Mexico and Norway.

Passing the international tree all lit up.

I made my way to Mexico and took a ride on the boat ride and explored the shop. I completely skipped over Norway since that is my least favorite. I made my way back to China to pick up a light I had been thinking about all day. I decided to just spend the rest of the night walking around the World Showcase just enjoying my last night with illuminations.
Half way around the lagoon...

It was fun walking around at my own pace while illuminations was going off. The walkways were virtually empty since everyone was on the edge of the lagoon.

I do have to share something interesting... when I came around to the UK and Canada area there is an area of just bushes. Well when I walked by tonight the whole area was open like a walk way to a whole other area.

When I stopped to take the picture I heard a CM say to another guest it was a big party hosted by Bollywood. I guess they had rented out the area behind there to host a premier. If you look closely you can even see the red carpet! I never even knew they had an area like that back there. Who knew!

Anyway so I continued walking and it was just so peaceful. Once Illuminations stopped the crowds started to build again. I decided to head back to the resort to pack and get ready to head for home. Plus it was another freezing night in FL and I was about frozen at this point. I made it back to the bus stop and made it on the second bus back.

Here are some pics I took of the night view from my room and my decorated window.
Pop is so pretty all light up at night!

For some reason I didn't have the Christmas lights turned on.

Up next...time to say good bye...

Oooh the candy lady! I remember her from that one show on the Travel Channel. How cool you got to see her!

Thats where I first saw her too!

great pics and update again.

how nice you were picked. it looked beautiful

Yea she does an amazing job. So fun to see her!

awesome pictures!!!! I love all the Christmas details you got. love it. And how cool she picked you, I love the seahorse!

Thanks girl! Ohhhh I see from your ticker you are going back before June! How fun!!!!!!!

I thought the stand by time we saw for Soarin' was good. You must just have the lucky touch with that line! Yeah, you got picked by the Candy Lady!!!!!

You didn't pick pearls this time?

I had the same experience as you walking around the MK near the end of the party. Adventureland was empty and it was so strange to feel like no one else was in the park with you. And it being dark and the MNSSHP probably didn't help the creepy factor. Still glad to go enjoy the party on my own though.

Haha nope no pearls this time. I'm sure I will get one this trip though. :lmao:

It was a cool experience having the park to myself. Good thing it wasn't MNSSHP though because it would of been even more creepy.

Cheryl, your update is fantastic! I got so excited when I realized you added more :goodvibes My sister and I had a wonderful cruise. As nice as it was, tho, I don't feel at all like I can't wait to get back on a ship. I always feel like I can't wait to get back to Disney :p I checked my finals schedule, and my last final is the Wednesday of your trip. I think I will stick to my Disneyland plan for this May - very bummed that I couldn't be there with you and maybe some other people, too! I am eager to get back to Disney World at Christmastime, tho - that was when I went my first two times there, and I haven't been now in 5 years. Thanks for the great update!! :flower3:

Welcome back Julie!!! I was just thinking of you the other day! Did you enjoy the islands? Thats so exciting you will be going to Disneyland! That's something that I have to look into for the future. :)

Hey Julie, when are you in DL? I'll be there May 17 - 20th if you want to meet up.

Ohhh how fun if you guys get to meet up again!!!

WOW! Awesome pictures! I love all the exploring you do in WS. There is just so much more there than I saw. I need to spend more time at Epcot. I'm just sad that your TR is almost over, I can't believe it's your last full day!!

I can't believe it's almost over either. I'll be starting another PTR soon though! Most likely even today!!!

Epcot is so beautiful. There is so much to do and see specially in the WS.

The Candy Lady is wicked neat! I saw her in Sept and was amazed what she could do. Plus it was cool that she picked you! Your pictures of the WS are great!

Thanks! She was so sweet and such a cool talent she has!

Cheryl, your update is so awesome, I have never seen the candy lady so that was really cool, I didn't realize how neat an experience that was, very cool that you got picked. :cool1:

Thanks Jen!!!

Great updates Cheryl!

How did you like Living with the Land now that its automated? I haven't been on site they made that change.

I have tried that basin before and can never get it to spout!

So great that you saw Miyuki! The last trip we waited for her to come out and she didn't show! I was so disappointed. :sad1:

Keep it coming!

I think I actually like it better now that it's automated. Some CM's just never seemed into it and came across bored. Yes it's not the most exciting ride but at least act happy right?

haha I'm so glad I'm not the only one who cant get that thing to spout!!! :upsidedow

One thing I have never done in EPCOT is watch any of the movies. I should really try that next time! :goodvibes

I agree, Pop at night all lit up is beautiful. :thumbsup2

First, definately come visit Canada! I would love to show you around Vancouver!

Second, seeing your pics of Epcot made me want to be there! I was trying to decide my fav country and I think it might be Morroco. Although the landscaping in China and Japan are amazing, and I love the background music in France and the entertainment in the UK. I think the only one I don't like is Canada!

I love that you got to sit by the window at Coral Reef again :cool1: You got some great night shots too!

November 18-departure day.

So the night before I got back to Pop Century and do you think I would pack my stuff up? Nope...that would of been too depressing. Instead I watched Stacey till I fell asleep.

When I woke up on the 18th I showered up and packed all my stuff. The Magical Express bus was picking me up at 1:00 so I didn't want to head to a park. Usually I try to get the last flight out of Orlando so I can have the whole day but that wasn't the case this time. I took my packed luggage and headed down to the lobby to check out.

Check out was a breeze and I looked at the happy people checking in and wishing I was one of them just starting my vacation. All good vacations have to come to an and though right?!

So after checking out I brought my bags to the luggage holder so I could relax and enjoy the resort with out having to drag those things along. I headed out to the pool to sit in the sun. It was a lot warmer that day than it had been and the sun felt nice. Around noon I headed in to grab a quick bite to eat. Before I knew it, 1 o'clock had come and I was getting on the bus back to the airport.

Nothing exciting happened at the airport and I was back on the ground in NH at 7 that night. So that's the ending to another trip. I hope you all have enjoyed reading it as much as I've enjoyed sharing it! Thanks for reading!

Edited to add: I've started a PRT for my trip in May if you would like to jump aboard here is the link! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=29835283#post29835283 Hope to see you there!!!

Great report Cheryl! I am sad that it is over though.

There was already a line for the 360 movie so I jumped right in and only waited about 5 minutes. The movie was really good and made me really want to take a trip up to Canada.
