Lights, Christmas tree's and FAKE snow nowhere else but Disney! New 1.22!

great update and pics.

I love walking around WS, so much to see.

Aww, you're already on the last full day?! :sad2: I love your pictures from Living With the Land. I think now that I'm older I'm starting to appreciate rides like that a little more. It is neat to see the greenhouses!

I have never heard of that basin in China but that is really cool! Looks like you did a lot of fun exploring in WS. :)

Great updates!!

Fantastic pictures all the way around! :worship:

I especially like the ones of Twas the Night Before Christmas at MVMCP as I did not have a chance to see that!

I hadn't heard of the Fish Basin in China but you can be sure that is on my list for next time! ::yes::

After my visit in China I continued around the world and headed to Germany!

So pretty but SOOOO pricey.

Can you even imagine buying that?? Wow I would need such a fancy room! Man oh man!

I continued on around the world to Italy! I loved seeing all the Christmas garlind around.

I came across a couple taking each others pictures so I offered to take one of the both of them. In return they took one of me!
ry%3D400

Up next I came up to the American Adventure. I looked at my times guide and noticed I was just in time to see the voices of liberty.

The American Tree...

ry%3D400

Let me just say if you ever get the chance to see the voices of liberty do it! I had never see them before but they were fantastic and so talented!

ry%3D400

After listening to the beautiful voices of liberty I noticed that the Candy lady Miyuki would be showing off her skill soon over that the Japan pavilion. I headed over to Japan and I was the first one at Miyuki's booth.

Continued in next post due to pics...

Once I found a spot quite a few other people started to stand around me and wait for Miyuki. Pretty soon a pretty big crowd had formed. Miyuki came and shes really amazing to watch. She takes a ball of white corn starch candy and makes it into a colorful detailed animal. She picks a few people and askes them which animal they like and then makes it before your eyes. I believe she said she is one of 3 people in the whole world who do this and the other 2 being her father and grandfather.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

At this point she had picked about 4 people and made their animals then she asked me! I was taken off guard by her picking me! I decided on a sea horse and it was awesome to see her create it for me.

The picture really doesn't do it justice I have another one and will upload it sometime soon so you can see.

After seeing Miyuki I headed in the shop and looked around for quite a while. Like I said before this is my favorite pavilion. I love to sit out by the fish pond and listen to the music. So relaxing!

Up next MORE of the world showcase
!

great update and pics.

I love walking around WS, so much to see.

The world showcase is fantastic! I love that each country you actually feel like you are there!

I know can you believe it?! Last full day already. :(

I totally feel the same way that you do! Things like Living with the Land, CoP, and One man's dream I just love but many people just brush them off because they arent the 'main attractions'.

Great updates!!

Fantastic pictures all the way around! :worship:

I especially like the ones of Twas the Night Before Christmas at MVMCP as I did not have a chance to see that!

I hadn't heard of the Fish Basin in China but you can be sure that is on my list for next time! ::yes::

Oh you will have to check out the Fish Basin next time and if you get it to spout please let me know! :goodvibes

Oooh the candy lady! I remember her from that one show on the Travel Channel. How cool you got to see her!

great pics and update again.

how nice you were picked. it looked beautiful

awesome pictures!!!! I love all the Christmas details you got. love it. And how cool she picked you, I love the seahorse!

I thought the stand by time we saw for Soarin' was good. You must just have the lucky touch with that line! Yeah, you got picked by the Candy Lady!!!!!

You didn't pick pearls this time?

I had the same experience as you walking around the MK near the end of the party. Adventureland was empty and it was so strange to feel like no one else was in the park with you. And it being dark and the MNSSHP probably didn't help the creepy factor. Still glad to go enjoy the party on my own though.

Cheryl, your update is fantastic! I got so excited when I realized you added more :goodvibes My sister and I had a wonderful cruise. As nice as it was, tho, I don't feel at all like I can't wait to get back on a ship. I always feel like I can't wait to get back to Disney :p I checked my finals schedule, and my last final is the Wednesday of your trip. I think I will stick to my Disneyland plan for this May - very bummed that I couldn't be there with you and maybe some other people, too! I am eager to get back to Disney World at Christmastime, tho - that was when I went my first two times there, and I haven't been now in 5 years. Thanks for the great update!! :flower3:

WOW! Awesome pictures! I love all the exploring you do in WS. There is just so much more there than I saw. I need to spend more time at Epcot. I'm just sad that your TR is almost over, I can't believe it's your last full day!!

The Candy Lady is wicked neat! I saw her in Sept and was amazed what she could do. Plus it was cool that she picked you! Your pictures of the WS are great!

Oh my gosh, Megan - really?! I am looking at that week. My sister has never been to Disneyland, and she was tempted to join me last year, but didn't. Now she really wants to. Her daughter lives near Phoenix, so she figures she can sneak over from a visit to her daughter and her husband won't complain much. Her birthday is June 3, though, and she keeps talking about how cool it would be to get in free on her birthday, or to get the special fastpasses. I have to pick vacations early at work, so I am going to have to get her to commit pretty soon. If she decides that she doesn't want to go at all, I am definitely going to head there on May 17 (if no one else at work beats me to that week). It would be great to see you again!! What hotel are you staying at? Last year, I only stayed two nights, so I splurged on the Grand Californian. Awesome hotel! I don't think I can do that again, but we'll see . . . I wish they had room to put up a value Disney resort out there. I would think they could buy some of the little hotels across the street, and redo those!! Anyway . . . Here's to California dreamin' :beach:

Cheryl, your update is so awesome, I have never seen the candy lady so that was really cool, I didn't realize how neat an experience that was, very cool that you got picked. :cool1:

Here's to California dreamin' :beach:

Sorry to hijack your thread Cheryl!

Julie I'm staying at Paradise Pier on my DVC points. I'm splurging because I'm taking my mom for her birthday (the 19th). Send me a pm when you figure out your plans and we'll come up with some way to meet.

Great updates Cheryl!

How did you like Living with the Land now that its automated? I haven't been on site they made that change.

I have tried that basin before and can never get it to spout!

So great that you saw Miyuki! The last trip we waited for her to come out and she didn't show! I was so disappointed. :sad1:

Keep it coming!

After leaving Japan I headed over to Morocco.
ry%3D400

There is just something so beautiful about this pavillion.
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Up next was France. I decided to check out the movie...it's like a little visit to France. The one time that I went over to Paris wasn't long enough so I always try to stay awhile in the French Pavillion to pretend like I'm back. haha! I guess I must of really been in the "French moment" because I don't have any pictures. hmmm

Anyway so up next was the UK.
ry%3D400

Now I remember I didn't spend too much time here because I was watching the time and I wanted to catch the Canada 360 movie.

It was almost time for the movie so off I went to Canada.
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

There was already a line for the 360 movie so I jumped right in and only waited about 5 minutes. The movie was really good and made me really want to take a trip up to Canada.

After Canada I decided to take a break from the World Showcase and go back to Mexico and Norway later.

I made my way back to Futureworld and saw that the fountains were going off so I decided to grab a seat and watch them for a bit.

Next I headed over to test track to take a spin in the cars. When I got over there it was a 10 minute wait in the single rider line. SCORE! I just love this ride. My favorite part would have to be the hot and cold rooms.

After the ride it was around 6:45 and my stomach was starting to grumble. I headed over to the electric umbrella and got in line. The more I looked at the menu the more I didn't feel like burgers and fries. I decided that it was my last day of vacation and I would treat myself. I headed over to the coral reef to see if they had any openings.

When I went in I honestly wasn't expecting any openings. I asked the CM if they had a table for one and she looked and sure enough there was! She gave me a buzzer and told me it would just be a few minutes.
ry%3D400

My buzzer soon went off and I was led into the dining room. Now if you havent been here before the dining room is designed into three levels. One right on the tank level, another a little higher up and then one higher than that. Well the last time I had been here solo I was seated on the third tier. I was completely shocked when she walked me right down to a table right next to the tank. She told me I had the best seat in the house, front and center!
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

The waiter was really great and he would walk by every once in a while and tell me when something iteresting was coming by the tank. Like a shark or sea turtle.
ry%3D400

Some divers on a tour went by the windows.
ry%3D400

Dinner was fantastic and very filling. I love the atmosphere of the Coral Reef and if you have kids they will love it!
