Lights, Christmas tree's and FAKE snow nowhere else but Disney! New 1.22!

It was cold the night we were at MVMCP too! I had on jeans, sweater and a long sleeve T underneath and I was chilled to the bone by the time we got back to AKL. Even the hot cocoa didn't warm us up completely! And we know cold, we are from MA! :rotfl:

Great pictures of Twas the Night Before Christmas! That was such a fun show.

So after the show I headed out of the theater and over to the noodle station area. This is where they were giving away the free hot chocolate and cookies. The line was long but moved really quickly. Let me just say that snack hit the spot! The hot chocolate warmed me up just a bit and lets just say that night I needed it.

I made my way over to Main st. because I wanted to get a good spot for the parade. This I didn't mind waiting for because thats exactly where I wanted to see the parade. I figured it would be so magical to see it while it was "snowing". I can't remember what time I got there but I know that it was enough time where a buch of us waiting were having a big conversation. One of the Dream squad members even stopped and chatted with us for a bit! Hi Neil! He was telling us all about his position and how soon he would be transfering because the YOAMD would be coming to an end soon. After Neil left some CM's came down the street checking everyone's wristbands. I was happy to see them checking!

ry%3D400

The buildings on Main street were all lit with ice blue lights and there were snowflakes projected on them.

About 15 minutes before the parade it actually started to snow! It really was an amazing thing. Now I'm from NH and we have our fair share of snow...I would even say at this point in the season I'm already sick of it. But it was so amazing to stand there in the Magic Kingdom and have it snow with Christmas carols playing in the background. Oh and the best part of Disney snow...it's fake! That's the kind of snow we should have here in NH!

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Everyone started to settle in their seats for the parade and we would hear it coming in the distance rounding the hub and heading down Main St!

I thought the parade was really cute! It was a really long parade, I think every character was in it! haha. The snow continued to fall throughout the whole parade which was a special touch! Very cool!!! Out of the Pirate and princess parade and MNSSHP parade this is my favorite! Most def a must see!

More to come from MVMCP!

Twas the Night Before Christmas looks really neat! Great pictures you can tell you got a great spot. That stinks that it was so cold though...did you end up buying a sweatshirt? Can't wait to see how the rest of the night went.

Man was it freezing. But nope I was stubborn and didn't buy a sweatshirt :headache:. There was no way I was paying $50 when I knew I had one at POP and was just stupid enough not to bring it.

Glad you got to see Twas the Night Before Christmas, I have heard that it is a nightmare to get into.

I felt bad for the people trying to get in at 7 who were turned away.

I do! Jake and I are going down with the family this year! We'll be there from Aug 30 - Sept 5 at Pop! :)

Yay! How exciting!!!

It was cold the night we were at MVMCP too! I had on jeans, sweater and a long sleeve T underneath and I was chilled to the bone by the time we got back to AKL. Even the hot cocoa didn't warm us up completely! And we know cold, we are from MA! :rotfl:

It's funny because it's so much colder temp wise here in our neck of the woods but just down there it felt sooooo much colder and it was only 50 degrees.

It was so funny I forgot to mention this in my last instalment but before the parade they usually sell balloons and stuff. Well this time there was a guy with a cart of blankets! It was so funny!

Great pictures of Twas the Night Before Christmas! That was such a fun show.

Thanks!!!

WOW! Great parade pictures! I am so going! Don't know when, but I'll get to MVMCP someday! But for now, here's enjoying your TR and hoping you'll be able to go again for MVMCP so that I can keep seeing your pictures!!!

I know all about snow, we had a big storm on New Years Eve/Day and we only got plowed out on the 2nd at around 1pm!!! Talk about a snow day! But rained today. I would rather the snow than the rain, snow, rain snow we've been getting. I think I'd like it more on Main Street too, though.

Thanks so much! I hope I get to go to the party again too! You know with me there will always be a TR or PTR going. You have been "following" me for a while now!

Ugh that stinks about the NYE storm! We have been getting such crazy weather lately! Yesterday we had a huge ice storm and now the sky is a bright orange and snowing big white flakes. I feel like we are in a snowglobe. :rotfl: The snow is by far better on Main St! No shoveling!!!

You got some great parade pictures! And I totally hear you on the whole snow thing...we have gotten so much here already (like you, I would say that I am sick of it :headache: Oh yeah, and sick of driving in it...I went to get my hair cut last night and on the way home I saw 2 accidents  ) but somehow it was OK at the Magic Kingdom.

Can't wait to hear more about your party experience!

I was happy to see them checking!
yey! I was glad they stopped us too a few times that night.

Amen sister friend! :thumbsup2

Your parade pics are great! I wish we could have made it back to Main Street for the parade but I'm glad I got to see it none-the-less! :goodvibes

Your parade pictures were great!!! That parades looks like a lot of fun. I bet seeing the fake snow was cool especially since it was accumulating..being a fellow New Englander I feel your pain about the snow.

I can't wait to see how the rest of the night went.

Ohhh..can't wait to start reading! I really wanna see the pics though so I'll have to hold off until i get home! :) From skimming over though it sounds like you had a blast!!!

So after the parade it was not to long before the Holiday Wishes would start. I decided no to go far and just hang around the hub and people watch. It's always amazing to me all the people from different places...we all come together to enjoy the magic that Walt Disney created. Very cool!

Time in Disney always seems to fly and before I knew it was just about time for wishes to start.

Fireworks Mickey...(well sort of)
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

After the fireworks I headed to BTMRR. I was so suprised at how many people left and there was still about 2 hours left of the party. BTMRR was complete walk on. So different at night! If you have never done this at night...DO IT! Next I had to pay a visit to my favorite pirates. Again another complete walk on! When I got off PotC adventureland was like a ghost town. No one around!!! Not going to lie it was actually kind of creepy!

I made my way back to Main St and the second parade was just going through. I decided to head into the Emporium to grab the party pin. I then made my way over to the store next to Tonys. I started talking to a CM who was about my age and she was there on the college program. She was so happy to be there and we actually started talking about our love for Disney. It was really cool! I was getting a little hungry so I headed to the bakery to grab a snack and hang out and enjoy the rest of the party. I didn't know if I would make it back to the MK this trip.

It was getting late after my snack so I started to head out.

As I made my way to the bus stop for Pop there was a custodial CM out painting (yes painting) the sidewalk with his mop and water. It was so cool! He was just singing and stroking way making this portrait of Mickey!

ry%3D400

I wish I could of gotten a better picture and a picture of him for that matter! It was such a great ending to the night as I headed out. Ahhh the magic of Disney!

haha yea that's pretty much the only snow I would enjoy right now...the Magic Kingdom snow! Ohhh to be back there right now. I know your cold in WI its -16 here! ugh!

yey! I was glad they stopped us too a few times that night.

Amen sister friend! :thumbsup2

Your parade pics are great! I wish we could have made it back to Main Street for the parade but I'm glad I got to see it none-the-less! :goodvibes

Thanks so much! Seeing the parade anywhere is such a cool experience. No matter where you are in the park!

haha I'm sure you are with me today and wishing I was in FL to get out of this cold!

Ohhh..can't wait to start reading! I really wanna see the pics though so I'll have to hold off until i get home! :) From skimming over though it sounds like you had a blast!!!

Oh I had such a blast! I love the Christmas season and Disney so it was amazing to be down there and experience both!

Great fireworks pictures! I thought Holiday Wishes was amazing. :thumbsup2 That's great you were able to walk on those rides...gotta love the parties! It still amazes me that some people say the parties are so crowded when they go. We've been to one of each and the Christmas one seemed a little more crowded than the others but we were still able to do a lot!

Love the picture of the CM painting Mickey. That is so cool!

Great fireworks photos! Mine never come out that good.

Isn't BTMRR great at night?!

Awesome pictures! Especially the fireworks! I've never been in MK when it was late at night and not so crowded, but I can imagine that it would be a little creepy, especially solo!

Great update! WOW you got some great shots, beautiful pics of the castle!

And I just realized we are just missing you again! You will be there just about a month before us, we are going the second week of June (I think).

Can't wait to read more!

Monday November 17th

So I woke up early this morning knowing it was my last full day in Disney World. I figured I would spend the whole day in my favorite park Epcot!

I made it to Epcot just after rope drop and my first thing on my agenda was to grab a fast pass for Soarin'.

ry%3D400

When I got to Soarin' the fast pass return was already at 10:30-11:30 but the stand by was only...
ry%3D400

So whats a girl to do...grab a fast pass and get in line! After riding the first time I still had time before my fast pass so I headed over to living with the land. There is something about this ride I love and it's a must do! It's so relaxing and (now don't laugh at me) I love the smell of the green house and the boat water. Something about it just screams Epcot to me! Living with the land was a walk on and the boat I was on only had 4 other people besides me.

After living with the land it was time to take a trip on Soarin' again. At this point the stand by wait time was up to 40 minutes.
Soarin' is always fun but I don't go crazy over it like a lot of people do. I hope the rumors are true and they are changing the movie to Soarin' over the world. That would be cool!

I wanted to head over to the world showcase at this point because it had just opened and I didn't think that many people would be over there yet.

Passing by the International Christmas tree...

ry%3D400

One of the two gift shops at the begining of the World Showcase was all changed to only sell Christmas items...
ry%3D400

I was right about not many people being in the WS. I skipped right over Mexico
ry%3D400

and headed toward my second favorite country... China! There is something just so beautiful about their culture. I spent a lot of time there and in Japan.
ry%3D400

Inside...

The colors are so beautiful.
Further inside this woman was playing some beautiful traditional music.

Off in the other room was the tomb warriors.

I decided to skip the circle vision movie since I had seen it not too long ago. Instead I decided to walk around and enjoy the landscaping and check out the shops.

Continued in next post due to pictures...

After exploring China in depth I was getting pretty hungry. I decided to check out Nine Dragons. I had been here once before when I was on my school choir trip. My friend's Aunt and Uncle lived in FL and decided to meet up with us and take us to dinner here. I thought it would be neat to head back since they had just redone the place.

ry%3D400

The place wasn't busy at all and I got right in without an ADR.

My waitress quickly came over and took my order. She returned with my drink and started to talk with me. She was super sweet and explained the writing on the placemat and even brough me crayons so I could try it myself. She also wrote my name!
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

My meal quickly came and let me say it was super good! The waitress brought me some chopsticks and gave me a quick lesson and left me to enjoy my meal.

Up next more adventures around the world!

I'm amazed at that too! Out of the three I thought the P&P party was the most crowded but not crazy like a summers day. As sad as it is I think some people just like to complain. :(

Great fireworks photos! Mine never come out that good.

Isn't BTMRR great at night?!

Thanks Jennifer! I had always heard that BTMRR was even better at night and I didn't understand till I rode it! It's AWESOME!

Awesome pictures! Especially the fireworks! I've never been in MK when it was late at night and not so crowded, but I can imagine that it would be a little creepy, especially solo!

Thanks! Ohhh man it was so creepy by myself. MK is always a place with so many people around and when I was the only one it was a totally different experience.

Great update! WOW you got some great shots, beautiful pics of the castle!

Thanks Hillary! I can't believe I'm going to miss you AGAIN! :guilty: But that's so exciting your going back!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
