Lighthouse Key Resort

I posted this yesterday in the wrong thread, oops. So I am reposting here.

Has anyone stayed at The Lighthouse Key Resort condos?
We have always stayed onsite.

Is this on a busy highway is the traffic bad?

We always ride the busses to the parks, will we get lost since we would have to drive ourselves or is it easy to get to the parks?

Is parking a nightmare at the parks or is it ok? How early can you park?

I was just figuring different rates and we can stay here for a week for about $300 less than 2 values at WDW. (I will need 2 rooms)

Is it just horrible staying off-site? Need advice. TIA

We stayed there in December. Beautiful unit. Nice staff. There were a few things missing like pot holders. We called to ask about ice when we arrived and they brought us a huge bag. It lasted for three days in our cooler.

Traffic wasn't too bad Christmas week. We moved down the road to a different resort the week of New Years and it got heavier. It's a straight shot to the parks. You couldn't get lost if you tried.

Tons of parking. I've never been there when they opened the parking, but I'm sure it's hours before the parks open.

We loved the resorts. Our 4-br unit was about the equivalent of 6 - 7 rooms at the Pop Century where we stayed once. Even the laundry room was huge.

We stayed at Lighthouse Key 2 years ago. We were really impressed. It's now two years older - obviously - but at the time, everything was brand new and clean. It was beautifully decorated and so spacious - like staying in a house - we had a 4 BR with two master bedrooms. Like the pp said, even the laundry room was huge!

It is on a busy road - there is traffic and lights. However, I don't recall that it took too long to get to the parks - maybe 15 minutes? There was plenty of parking at the resort - always had a spot right in front of our unit.

I think it was well worth it and I would stay there again!
