Is there a place at DL to build your own light sabre? I know there is one at WDW. I know DL has the Jedi Training so I thought it might be logical that they did.

yes next to the shop or in it i think i dont rember price and stuff there was a post done that had it in it and pics unfortinotly the little boy lost it a few days later..but it dose loook fun my son might want to do it

Yes, I believe that they have the build-your-own light saber in Star Traders in TL (the shop at the exit of Space Mountain). Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I though that it was there.

Here they are building them:

OOOOH I never even knew that!
Might have to make one this trip around... Someone stole mine during the Revenge of the Sith era :/

Single blade sabers are a bit less than the double-ended ones. They average about $20.

The double-ended only light up on ONE end. And they are enormous.

If you're getting them for a kid, I can't recommend it for a kid under 6. Actually probably older, just b/c they are enormous (even the single blade ones) and heavy and have no belt-clips!

Enormous, heavy, and no way to clip it onto him was how my son ended up having his stolen. OK so he/we lost it, but it wasn't there when we went back for it and never made it to lost and found, which means someone took it. He had handed it to one of us or put it on a bench, and it was so new we didn't think of it and "just like that, it's gone". It was his birthday present, too. :sad1:

(Once we realized that we had a hand in the loss, that it wasn't just him being careless, we felt so guilty we bought him two $10 light sabers, which are light (no batteries for sound or lights) and have a belt clip.)

Oh, and you can't really see the color/light in the daytime, it's too weak. (honestly I wasn't impressed even before it was lost!)

And at DLR you don't get a pin like they say you do at WDW. They do include batteries, though!

hehe well im intrested in one my self..lol dh and ds may share one lol and i knew it was you i just didnt want to mintion names if i was wrong with how mnay ppl are nice here and friends here lol

well ty much

We bought them last December for our Boys. They were so excited to make them. They broke one week later. They fell apart easy. For the $ I would have thought they would be made better. They still play with the regular ones (the one they sell in the stores that you throw out and it expands) We aren't going to but them again....It was a wast of money......I am sorry to be a downer but we were dissapointed.....One of my boys had the double and one had the single. I also agree with bumbershoot.....they are very heavy and bulky. One of my boys chose the clear sword so he could see the light and it was so faint. He chose a purple color and it ended up being pink------you know how much he loved that :)

My DS and DH built them in WDW last summer and they have held up fine. Granted, they are not doing heavy duty battles every day. They have both enjoyed them very much.

Personally, both DS2 and DS3 have enjoyed their Mickey light-up sword/light sabers that they sell before the nighttime parade out of the ODV carts. I believe we only paid $5 each (which is a steal at DLR!!!). They have held up wonderfully. And granted, they haven't been doing any heavy duty battles, they have held up to the normal abuse of toddlers!!! :lmao:

DS6 got a Mickey one when we were at WDW last time and he still has it. AND it still works!!!!! We paid $5 for it then and it was the best $5 we spent.
