Light pole blown over on Main Street. 3 guests injured.

I just read that high winds blew over a light pole shortly after the park opened this morning!

I hope the injuries are not serious. It seems like this is something that should be checked as part of routine maintenance, since I have heard California can get windy at times.

It is all over the news. Unfortunately, it sounds like an elderly woman was injured and transported for medical care.

We were there today. A few people were injured and they had staff redirecting all traffic into the middle of street in the hub to keep them away from the rest of the light poles while maintenance went around and checked them. We noticed a couple of light poles reinforced with straps after that. It was VERY windy this morning. I haven’t seen Santa Ana wind gusts like that in a long time. It was causing the metal detectors to go off with every guest. I feel terrible for the people injured.

We were also there. The wind was as crazy! They’d had high wind warnings for a few days before then, but the winds weren’t high. Yesterday, they were super high winds. I hope everyone is ok.
