Light or Dark Transfer Paper, Help Needed

I'm totally confused on which paper to use, light or dark. The adult shirts are going to be white and the kid shirts, Neon, which neon is still up in the air.

Is neon, a light color in the world of transfer paper?

Any advise would be helpful and yes I know the year is wrong

you use dark paper and sections of your image that are white will stay white. if you use light, which is basically clear, than sections of the DISign that are white will show the shirt color. I always you dark no matter what

Buy transfers

• Order on-line or check for coupons or sales.
• Check with the DISigners to see who they use? (I use Amy-Mickey's Transfers). If you use poor quality transfers your shirts will run or look raggedy after a few washes.
• If putting design on a white shirt - you can use either light or dark transfers. For any other color shirt - use dark transfers or else ALL white areas of the design will be the shirt color.
• Dark transfers tend to have more vibrant colors and are more of a matte finish and light transfers are shinier.
• The MINUTE that the printer flashes the "ink low" message, CHANGE THE INK CARTRIDGE. Do not try to get one more transfer out of that ink cartridge. (I did that and wasted a transfer because the transfer had vertical stripes through it!)

Thanks Marion, I have used your designs in the past and they rock and may recycle them for a front.

At your suggestion I have always used the dark transfers and they turn out great. My concern for this design is the amount of dead space. But I guess that us an issue no matter which type I use.

Oh well thanks for helping me think this through.

On the light colored transfer paper, does the backing stick to the shirt or just the image?
