To all who come to this happy place, Welcome!

To my trip report that is :thumbsup2

I am Stacy a starter of a million things (even previous pre-trip reports) but a finisher on none :worried: hopefully that will change with this report. I am the world’s most impatient person and not much of a planner so it’s hard to stick with writing a pre-trip report when you usually plan things last minute (I stay off site a lot since its normally just me) often will get tired of waiting and will just leave a week early because I am impatient (Did I mention I am not a planner so I don’t do ressies. I like to wing it. You could call me a wing girl but I don’t think it fits) and since there is nothing to worry about I can usually get away with this.

On this trip will be Me Who in real life drives a forklift in a Manufacturing plant and My DH Adam Who is the Network Administrator of a Oil Company. We don't normally take pictures but have several from our last trip on 2011. I really enjoyed them and hope to get more during our trip.

Here was our selfie while waiting for Fantasmic

Here he is showing off his awesome fighting moves and scaring away and predators who intend to do us harm... Look at them all cower in fear!

And just a sweet one. He does have his moments.

Not making the trip will be our DD 14 and two spoiled Furchildren Maggie and Max

Now that the introduction is out of the way lets get into more important details. The WHY!!

So it started last Dec when I decided I wanted to mark something off my Disney World Bucket list. I wanted to stay at the BWV during food and wine. This may not seem like a big deal to some people but the Food and wine is my favorite thing in the world!! I attended my first one in 2011 which is also when I did my first Half marathon and RunDisney event the Wine and Dine half Marathon. This was also the first time my DH and myself went on a real vacation together and the last time since (He works A LOT and he isn’t much on traveling but encourages me to, so it works out fine I have made the trip down more than 15 times since 2010 so I am very used to being a solo traveler :thumbsup2
I have made the trip down every year now since then and spend the rest of the year looking forward to it. This is partial because I love to try new foods and more so new drinks. :drinking1If I am at the Boardwalk I can make my way over to the World show case and not have to deal with entering the park from the front. I can also head back to my room for a Nap if needed!

So this trip started off with my and a friend booking the BWV from the 6-11 with rented points from a different friend now that this part was done it was just the waiting that we had to do. Well I mentioned to my DH’s boss during the Christmas party how I was tired of not being able to travel with DH and he said he will make sure DH comes with me this year and he did. The dates are already approved :cool1: I should also mention that this boss is new. The last one didn’t like to have people take off work which was a big reason he never came with me.

Now that DH is coming with me and the registration for the Wine and Wine is about to open we decided to both run it (DH is not a runner but he will do it for me so we can do it together. I do about 2-3 although 4 this year Rundisney events a year) This lead to us needing a few extra days then since he has so much to catch up on at WDW (and so many new drinks to try!) that we decided to book 3 extra days. Then after looking at the free dining dates for just an extra $200 we could move the trip up an extra 2 nights so we now have 5 nights at the All-stars and we get free dining. So we got 2 extra nights and now get to eat for free our first 6 days for just $200…. Hello, how awesome is that! Hopefully everyone is still with me :worried:

So that leads to the next twist in this tale. DH was just my DB at the time but we have been talking about getting married for several years just never go about doing it. Well this Monday we eloped and this will now be our Disneymoon! :lovestruc I am so excited and determined to make this the best Disney trip EVER!! We (I) wanted to get married while on our trip but we really don't want any distractions other than the run during the trip. We just want to enjoy ourselves so we decided not to wait. Since we are both food and wine people I plan on booking as many special events during the food and wine as I can. I have been so impatiently waiting for news of the festival to be released that it seems like they are behind on all that this year. They need to hurry as the suspense of the wait is killing me! I am hoping that writing this will help the wait and get some of the excitement out. :goodvibes

I will be posting the Events we book for the Food and wine as soon as I can. I can already tell you it will involve drinking and more drinking with some food in between.

I have one more 12 hour shift tonight and then I'm off all weekend. I can't wait to drool over the news that was announced today on a few of the returning booths. I'm waiting to read it so I can enjoy what I read at home and not stuck in a factory :thumbsup2

Here is an off topic post. I did mention earlier that I like to do the Rundisney races what I didn't mention were the ones I have planned. My next race will be the Disneyland half where I will be doing the Dunbo dare :goodvibes I am totally excited! This will be my first trip out to DL and it will be kinda short 3 days with lots of running in between and I am hoping it would have taken off some of the excitement from the Disneymoon but so far thats a negative :lmao: There are times I even forgot I had this trip until someone asked me about it. I should be ashamed :rolleyes2 I am also doing the Wine and Dine while on our Homeymoon and will be doign the Rebel Challenge in Jan :cool1:

Nothing new planned on the trip this week :( I am still waiting for Food and Wine news before I even think of booking anymore meals. I am hoping to get as many special events in as possible but the waiting is hard. I did call today and change my last name on the reservation though :goodvibes

Just like I expected I have failed at my updates, but I have a bunch to share! First ALL FOOD AND WINE EVENTS AND MENUS ARE OUT :cool1: This took up a bunch of my time as I have 9 days of food and wine to plan so I wanted to make sure I spaced everythign out. I want us to enjoy it and not feel like we are trying to cram everything all at once. We booked one Beverage seminar, the Russian winery :drinking1 I also booked us the Epcot Food & Wine Festival Premium Package. I am excited for this :goodvibes It adds just that special touch I am hoping for, and the fact that we will have a bottle of wine waiting for us in our room for our honeymoon is amazing for me :thumbsup2

Yay on booking the premium package! I wish we were able to do during one of our trips but it just doesn't really fit in with our plans with the whole working Monday to Thursday as the Late Night Live won't really work for the Tuesday we are there or the Thursdays we are there.

My husband & I are doing the Rebel Challenge in January as well (started my pre-trip not too long ago for that) but 'training' won't officially start until after Tower of Terror 10 Miler for me but I do have the runs planned out.

Thanks :goodvibes We dont normally book many things so this is a special treat for us. How exciting for the Rebel challenge!! I cant wait for that one. I was thinking about doing the TOT next year. I did it a few years back and enjoyed it. I am thinking I will just do the Rebel chellenge, the Princess half and the TOT and call it good for my Rundisney races next year.

While this pre trip report may be about a wonderful Disney world adventure, I do have something happening real soon :goodvibes and I recently made a few changes to this to make it more exciting. I have my Disneyland trip for the Dumbo dare happening next week and I couldn't be more happy to at least go somewhere, I decided that since I will have two days off before my plane leaves I should do something to enjoy those two days instead of sitting at home. I changed my plane ticket for an Amtrak ticket :cool1: Thats right, I will now be traveling from Missouri to Disneyland by train. I finally get to see the land heading out west in all its Glory!! I leave Monday night. I am so excited to experience something new. Its just me going on this trip so I have a good book, wine and wonderful snacks all ready
