In case I don't get back, here....

Thanks so much!!

Merry Christmas to you and Mark. Many thoughts and prayers this year. I hope the boys and their loves get to see you for the holidays.

My thought of the day:

Go to hurry up and get the clothes on the bed put away and the kitchen cleaned up and ready for tomorrow's break making so I can go to sleep cause...
Only 8 more sleeps before we leave:santa::dancer::dancer::dancer::party::dancer::dancer::dancer:

Thank you. Yes, Andy and Des will be here on Christmas Day with my inlaws (I have my brother here tomorrow night), and Friday we are going to Dubuque to see Mark and Alisha for the weekend. :)

Came by to say Goodnight, happy New Year and Bye!!

The car is packed except Morgan's things and the shoes, socks and electronics. Oh I can't forget the cooler bag with drinks and insulin.
Got everything done today except all the cleaning I wanted to do.

What we are expecting-
To leave between 2 and 3 am and arrive in Daytona Beach about 3 pm. We will have to stop frequently to walk so mom won't be so stiff. Morgan is old enough to drive and drives in Richmond and Norfolk, Va Beach. She worked till 5pm so probably wont get as much sleep as I will. We will probably stop for a good breakfast in South Carolina about 8 or so and then Morgan will probably drive into Georgia. We will switch after she sleeps for a few hours.

We have lots of snacks packed due to time of leaving. We are hoping to find some seafood tomorrow night in Daytona and have a very early night so we can get up before the chickens on Friday.

Happy New Year to you all!! and Night Night!!

Wishing you safe travels and a magical time.

And wishing you and yours a very

Hello everyone!!
We arrived safely on Jan 1. Traffic was great until I 95 but still not as bad as I imaginined. Morgan was sick. Still not feeling well. !st two days at Universal were great would stay a deluxe just for the express pass again.

Arrived at Kidani on Jan 3. So far it was great.

I know we were missed. The dog slept all night in the bed with me and the cat on my head. The dog is in between our chairs in the living room and the cat is on the recliner arm as I write.
I have over 210 pictures and videos on our memory maker which I need to work on before I do a trip report. I think I am going to do one not sure yet. I have to get pictures from Morgan's phone, my pictures from my phone downloaded and all the pictures from my camera downloaded. I also made no notes so I guess doing that would be an obvious thing to work on as well soon.

Highlights were seeing Universal and Islands of Adventure for the first time. Mom rode some rides I really didn't expect her too. We enjoyed the time we spent there. We also enjoyed the Macy's parade. I missed Grinchmas-really sorry this didn't happen.

I loved, loved and did I say loved the express pass that came with staying at an on property hotel. Had we not stayed there and had the express pass and getting in early 1 hour early for Harry Potter, I might have said don't go back. I am ready to go back!!

Another highlight was staying at Kidani and having a standard room on the studio. A low light here was the bed. It was very comfy for Morgan and I. Mom could not get on it!! It was so high.

Another lowlight is how tired I am today and how bad I hurt. Morgan didn't want breaks and asked to alter the schedule. I let her. I know it now. Yesterday in the car, I decided not to take my crocs of because I knew if I did they would not go back on and it was too cold not to wear shoes to get in the house. The last time me legs were this big was when I wrecked a go cart in 1998 on a mission trip and broke my left leg.

Another highlight the talking Mickey interaction we had or Mom had at Magic Kingdom 1/8, our last park day. Mickey himself came over and helped Mom out of the wheel Chair. It was so precious and the photographer got it pictures of it. Cudos to the cast member that was Mickey at that time.
A cast member at the Haunted Mansion Ashley was the greatest, she helped Mom out of the doombuggy and across the moving walkway and even off the walkway. Wish I had her picture.

Another lowlight-the ride. What more can I say, 10 hours drive time with a sick college student on the way down and 10+ hours on the way back with a Mom that could only get in the front seat and a Lee that could barely feel her feet other than pain on the way back.

Highlight-1st ever DIS meet ever with Kaitlin and her parents. The family is incredible and wonderful. Thanks for meeting up with us!!

Highlight-an unofficial DIS meet with Gordon. Gordon isn't on these boards but meeting him was a little too close and personal even though he was cute. So who is Gordon? You will need to read the trip report to find out but I will tell you that our Savannah guide on the Wyanama safari wasn't at all pleased with Gordon. Gordon is too tall to be shipped anywhere. Know who or what Gordon is yet? Gordon is a giaraffe. The Wyanama safari is so worth it...even with food allergies!!

Highlight-dinner at California grill with fireworks viewing.

Highlight-seeing a 20 year old light up with seeing princesses and looking out over Fantasyland from our table by the window.

Highlight-eating at Be our Guest for lunch on my birthday,

The week was mostly incredible and I am glad we did it. This will probably be the last trip we do with Morgan for a while if not forever. She is all grown up now and not quite halfway through college. Where has time gone?
More to come just not sure when. If I do a trip report which I am leaning towards, I will probably start it this weekend or next.

Welcome home! It sounds like it was a great trip. I hope you do a TR as I'd love to read along.

Welcome back! Sounds like a lot of highlights (and a few lowlights). That is so sweet about talking Mickey and your mom! :lovestruc Hope you do a TR!

Dugette, I am going to do a trip report as I told Kathy. Hope to get it started this week. This afternoons project is laundry and start uploading to photobucket.

Welcome back! Sounds like you had a mostly great trip with the exception of Morgan getting sick. Boo for the bad timing.

Really looking forward to reading your TR when you have it up and running. Don't forget to send out the bat signal! :thumbsup2
