Priorities
Each of us has made a list of priorities for our trip and you might all laugh at them but here goes.

Foodie Priorities
Seafood
Try a Butterbeer
Eat at 3 Broomsticks or Leaky Cauldron and have some ice cream from Florean Fescue's

The Universal Priorities include:
Going!! Mom and I have never been there
I love Lucy exhibit for Mom
Exploring Hogsmeade and Diagon Ally
Seeing Suessville and Grinchmas
Seeing the Macy’s Parade
Rollercoasters for Morgan and I
As much else we can see in the limited time we have
Priorities for WDW
Stay at a Deluxe or DVC resort (bucket list)
Stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge or Kidani(Bucket list)
Eat at Jiko(bucket list)
Do a behind the scenes at AK(well AKL Waynama safari is not AK but I sure think it is close!!
Visit a resort I haven’t seen
Ride the Monorail loop
Eat around the world showcase-not sure how we will do this yet
Have a kitchen sink(this will depend on how my blood sugar is doing and time)
Have a dole whip float
Eat at Be Our Guest
See Illuminations from a seat or desired location
Explore New Fantasyland(none of us have been here since the project started)
See some shows especially Lion King and Finding Nemo at AK
Explore Dino Land
Mom says “See the animals”

The park we plan to spend the less time in is Hollywood Studios.
I haven’t figured out when we will try to go to Downtown Disney but we would like to try for a few hours-Maybe Saturday night.
I now have a Landry’s card so we will probably either go to Bubba Gump Seafood at City Walk or T-Rex or Rainforest or Yak and Yeti as I will have two $25 dollar bonuses we can use.
We plan to stay flexible. One possibility at both Universal and WDW is if Mom is really tired is to bring her back earlier to the hotel (after dinner) and set her up with snacks and a drink and the tv and let her sleep early. We will be taking breaks, using the wheelchair and watching shows. We may also use rider swap if Mom is confused at all. She does really well most of the time but in crowds, I am not sure about leaving her at times. Morgan and I know that we might be doing single rider by ourselves but maybe not.
We will also be eating some in the room and even with ADR’s splitting meals. None of us are picky and we all like to try things. I tend to snack if I am riding rides(roller coasters and things that spin) rather than big meals . We tend to share so we can try more things. Exception-our dole whips!!

Getting things accomplished. Now to the To Do List:(I'd rather DIS!!):rotfl:

I just read through your plans and it looks like a fun trip! And well deserved as it sounds like you've been working hard. Labor and Delivery nurses are just about my favorite people on the planet. :worship: I'm not even kidding.

Congrats on getting the BOG FP+. I've decided not even to try for one because I don't want to be disappointed. I hope you enjoy your trip.

Hi Everyone!!
Morgan is out of school now and home with her mom and stepdad. I will see her some this week, this weekend and then next weekend. I am hoping she will be working some beginning this week through Dec 30. It will give her spending money. I'll feed her not buy her stuff!! She is starting to get excited.

I need some opinions.
I am trying to look budget wise at what we have in ADR's so far. Looking at what to keep and what to give up. We are not big breakfast people so I am going to the grocery store and grab stuff for sandwiches in the room. We are not huge eaters and would rather split entrees and then have dessert. Tell me what you think about what I am thinking.

Thursday 1/1/2013 am
Morgan plans to be at my house between 2 and 3 am and we will leave within 15 minutes. The dog will be delivered to my brother's on Weds night and the cat will stay and home and he will feed and love on her daily when he checks the house and starts the cars etc
If we leave by 3 a, I will want to eat good between 7-9 Maybe a Cracker Barrell in South Carolina.

Lunch-cheap drive thru or out of cooler bag, fruit cheese etc.

We will have to stop frequently to stretch and walk. Hope to check in mid to late afternoon and have time for a short walk on the beach.
Dinner-Seafood in Daytona. Anyone know of any good places to eat in Daytona?

very early night

1/2 Head out about 5:15 or 5:30 to Orlando to check in at Royal Pacific
Breakfast in the car-fast food biscuit or wait til we get into the park
Not sure about where we will eat. Know we want to try butterbeer and
maybe eat at Leaky Cauldron or Three Broomsticks.
I also have a Landry's card with 2 25 dollar rewards(or I will Jan 1). All
three of us love Bubba Gumps so 25 dollars off would be great!!
1/3 Counter service in the parks(Universal for breakfast) then snack.
Leave Universal by 2-3 pm and drive to Kidani to check in
We currently have a 5:05 pm ADR at Saana.
I am thinking of canceling this and trying to get lunch here one day
instead so we can see something out the windows. What do you think?
We will need to go to the grocery store anyway so either stop at Mara, DTD or get something off property

1/4 lunch FP at Be Our Guest 10:30-11:00
5:15 pm dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table
1/5 Lunch at Yak and Yeti ADR, thinking of changing to Saana or Rainforest
or lunch in the room the counter service at Studios for dinner
1/6 Breakfast in room, snack in the park
Tea/reception at Jiko as part of Waynama Safari then dinner with wine pairings at Jiko
1/7 breakfast/lunch in room
I have a dinner ADR at Rose and Crown for 7:45. I booked this because of Illuminations. This is the other ADR I am thinking of canceling. With this being Weds prior to the Marathon, what will the crowds for illuminations be like. Can we find a good viewing spot? We really would like to eat around the world. Morgan and I could hit a couple of countrys each and grab snacks or counter service to share and work on eating around the world while we wait. we could park Mom at a table outside like near Mexico and get our food while she holds the spot. Just an idea. What do you think?

1/8 Breakfast in the room and snacks in the park. ADR at California Grill at 7:30.
1/9 eat out on the way home. I may pack sandwiches if we have anything left for one meal.

We are not doing dining plan.

One of my concerns at Rose and Crown is all the sausage and use of pork in dishes. I am allergic to pork.

Mom thinks I should cancel California Grill but I love the menu and the view. I don't have to cancel any of these but this is a lot of food. Other than CRT, we will probably share entrees. 2 entree's with an appetizer and/or dessert is more than enough. I might get an adult beverage once but I will have to see at the time how my blood sugar is doing since I am on insulin. If I have to make difficult choices like splitting a dessert or drinking an adult beverage-dessert will win!!:rotfl: Morgan will gladly finish the adult beverage if she were in the Bahamas or Puerto Rico where she is legal.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I have been to Cinderellas Royal Table before when it was King Stephen's and I think Mom has been there. Otherwise all of these are new to us except Bubba Gumps.

So what are your thoughts??

Need prayers and good thoughts Weds and Thursday. After 25 years of being an RN and not taking ACLS(Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) I am taking it for the first time. Everyone who works on my unit and takes it has a hard time unless they have previous ICU experience. I will be trying to switch to recovery room instead of Operating room on my unit with my hearing as it fluctuates so much at times. Got to have ACLS in the recovery room. Once you pass it most people don't have trouble renewing it.

The previous post posted before I wanted it too. Guess that told me to take my ACLS pretest before I keep posting. Be back in a few.

14 days to go:)
Last night I went to a fiftieth birthday party for someone I work with. Morgan went with me. On the way back to her house we were listening to Christmas music. The talking about the drive, I told her to listen and she listened to a Disney hits CD. She was laughing and so animated talking about the trip. She is soooooooo excite . More so than the cruise. She is getting me excited now!!

I'm finally back. I love that you are all celebrating "0" while you are there.

I am so happy you are staying at AKL. As you know, we love it there. Jiko was very different food wise, but we really enjoyed it. We are huge fans of Rose & Crown as well.

Your trip is getting very close.

Well made some changes today.
We canceled the ADR for Saana and Rose and Crown. Didn't plan to buy a 4 tires for my car before going to Disney but oh well had too.(one is covered under the warrenty) We kept the other adrs.
Getting excited 12 days and we will be traveling.:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

I hate when those kinds of things happen right before a trip. I'm glad you only had to cancel two.

That's a bummer about the tires! I'm sure you'll have a great time anyway (and have some ADRs to look forward to next time, I guess). Not long to go now! :cool1:

Bummer about the tires, but yay :cool1: for your trip being only 12 days away!:banana::banana:
