Inside Jacket
Joedisney and his crew are off again on a whimsical tour of Disney. Follow along as Joe describes the details of his latest trip. This, however, is not your typical trip report. Instead, you will be taken on a journey that parallels that of life itself. We all know that a trip to Disney is much more than an ordinary vacation. The expense alone is enough to tip you off that this isnt just another week away to visit Grandma. Although it contains large doses of great joy, a trip to Disney is often filled with the ups and downs that we all experience in our everyday lives. Just like having a child, a great Disney vacation starts with months of planning and preparation. Once there, packed away in a small microcosm of time is a wide range of experiences sprinkled with the inevitable curveballs that keep things interesting. As the vacation comes to a close, the feeling of doom begins to take hold. Finally, as you return to the harsh realities of work and school, the end of the cycle is complete. The circle of life, however, must continue and the planning begins for the next trip. Maybe this is why Disney is so successful. Read along as Joe describes this magical tale with the parallels of life brought to light as the story unfolds.

Preface
In many ways, taking a trip to Disney mirrors that of the human life cycle. It all starts when a young couple decides to have their first child. Is now the right time? Can I afford to do this? Some will lament for years, debating the pros and cons in detail, while others will jump right in and make the decision to just go for it. Once the decision is made, the planning phase begins. When? What supplies will we need? How are we going to pay for this darn thing? The same issues arise when planning a trip to Disney. A true Disney planner, however, finds the planning to be almost as fun as the trip itself. You could easily say, in both cases, that the conceiving stage is definitely as fun as the product it delivers. After months of work the big day arrives. The excitement is building. The anticipation becomes unbearable. But wait, before you can enjoy the birth of your first day at Disney, you must survive the excruciating labors of a plane ride with kids. Some may opt for a cordial to ease the pain. Would anyone care for an Epidural? Others, live with the pain, buoyed by the knowledge that their greatest joy is about to become a reality in just a few short hours. Knowing that months of hard work are about to be rewarded by the greatest of gifts. You have landed safely and everyone has survived the terrors of flying with a two year old. The child is born. The moment freezes forever in time. At that very moment, the great joy that sweeps through the very marrow of your bones is forever ingrained in the memories you will hold for the rest of your life. You are overwhelmed by the anticipation, the hopes, the dreams and the unlimited potential of a white canvas waiting to be painted with the experiences of a lifetime. You grab your belongings and head out into a new world. There will surely be bumps along the way, but for now there is nothing but joy. Welcome to parenthood. Welcome to Orlando. Buckle-up tight, for the adventure is about to begin.
