Life’s too short...to never sleep in a treehouse! 8/27 TR is up! Link in siggie

The animation studio looks really cool!! I've only done the animation class at WDW so I'm anxious to take the tour... but I doubt I'll see anything as cool as that zoetrope!

The California F&W sounds like it was very disappointing, but the whole animation studio looked great. I hate that about the F&W fest, though--I love it at WDW.

What a bummer about the California version of the Food and Wine Festival :(.

The Animation Academy looks like so much fun, though! I would love to see that Toy Story Zoetrope! Too cool!

It was amazing! I'm not sure if it's a permanent fixture but it looked like it, it basically had its own gallery.

Well it's all about context. It WAS very California, in a winery tasting kind of way. Which just wasn't Jeff's gig.

It might have been ok adult only, there were probably 6 kiosks set up, maybe more and you really could have had a lovely winery touring day, if that's what you wanted.

It was very cool. Traditionally we've skipped a lot of the indoor attractions so it was a nice change of pace and boded well for FL.

The shots about the park and from Mickey's wheel look great! Some good views! I hadn't heard much about Cars land. How fun! I wish that were opening this fall!!! oh well, another reason to go back for longer! WHAT a bummer about F & W -- now you will REALLY need to come back to FL for the Epcot festival -- it will NOT disappoint! ;) I am sorry your dash to TSM was for naught, but I hope it picks up later! I am glad you got Soarin' in -- and the queue displays look neat! looking forward to hearing more about the day. :goodvibes

that cars land shot you got looked pretty cool. i cant wait to see when it is finished.

and i was just about to ask you about the ferris wheel but then you had a chapter on it, looks really cool, i bet my little guy would love that ride.

looks like it can get going pretty fast

The views were stunning. We will definitely be going for that opening, Jeff has already agreed (though I will have to remind him I am sure)...and to see WOC of course! There is some info about Carsland on the DL boards but it was SO far out I hadn't paid that much attention to it so it was kind of a cool surprise to see the track (even though I'd heard it was starting to go in)

Oh I know! I really want to go on an adult only trip, we are talking about it for 2011 with my siblings and their spouses.

More coming soon!

I can't either!

It was really fun, I think I was just taken aback by how fast it slid! You can get a stationery car though if you prefer, I think they go every/other car. I'm glad we went on it.

Just getting caught up. I had no idea that the cars on the ferris wheel slid! I think I'd be a little freaked-out at that too.

You can see that they do when watching but I think I was really unprepared by how fast and swingy it was! Cool...but freaky all at the same time.

Fortified by Sauvignon Blanc it was time for one of my “must do’s” of the trip.

The drawing part of the animation studio!

Who would we get to draw?

Simba?

Pochahontas?

We absolutely loved it and can’t wait to do it again in FL!
Next Stop…Blue Sky Cellars!

But first, a Florida Trip update!

Oh MY.....Wish the food & wine part of DCA had not been so underwhelming! And having to rush to drink wine is no fun, but the animation studio there looks super cool! I love your Pooh! Nice job!!!!!!

Great job on the Pooh's! The Drawing Academy is great fun. It's hard they can actually help us draw something that resembles what it's supposed to.

Eric did a really great job on his Pooh! Did Evan not do one?

Did they go on and on about not taking the pencil like they do at DHS (that really annoyed me) ??

I think my expectations were too high, experiences fall far further when you go into it with inflated expectations. Oh well.

The drawing academy was a blast!

It's amazing really! The boys thought it was so cool!

Evan did one but was not happy with it at all. He was the furthest away from me and rolled it up before I could snap a pic. I have it (still rolled up lol) so will try to take a pic.

I don't recall them going on and on about not taking the pencil but they did state a couple of times where/how to put it back in the clipboard lol!

So made it back to the Academy! I really want to do that one day at WDW! :goodvibes Somehow we did not really have the time for it in January...

All of you did a great job with Pooh! :thumbsup2

WOW--that is definitely something I have to take my dd to in December--it's right up her alley and she usually does not like Hollywood Studios, so this could give her something to like about it.

Great Pooh, by the way!
