Life’s too short...to never sleep in a treehouse! 8/27 TR is up! Link in siggie

WOW! that tour is kinda cracking me up. Weird stuff... Just a ?? for future reference: was the tour extra? or was it part of the entrance fee?? I know lunch was extra, but how does that work??

Also, getting a nice chuckle out of the bathroom picture- you do Jordan proud. ;) That was a fascinating story of the Dorchester. I'd never heard of it before. THANKS!

Yes, I love the picture of you heading into the restroom too! Why is it that whenever one of your boys is trying to take a picture of you, you're resisting? :confused3 Could it be their great timing?

Also some great shots of the boys in this installment....at the gun, "weighing" the anchor (literally), etc.

Cool pictures all around the Queen Mary!

I love ghost tours, and this one sounds really neat! I find it kind of freaky, though, that one of the ghosts has the same name as me. It's just not one you see a whole lot, and then, to have it attached to a ghost -- not sure how I feel about that.:laughing:

My two kids are easily spooked by ghost stories, so I don't think I could ever convince them to do a tour like that. :(

For some reason, I always find empty swimming pools creepy! {Shudder, shudder}

What a great tour on the Queen Mary!!! I would be all over that ghost tour but I like happy haunts, and not so happy haunts, and the history behind it! I'm going to New Orleans at the end of June and I hope to do a tour or two there about the ghosts of the city!!

Loved the pictures!!!!!

More please, More please!!!!

very cool boat pics, i did that haunted tour when i was about 10 when we did our LA trip to my great uncles.

Okay...I'm back...I think... Hope work is going good....Miss you.

Work is great! Crazy busy but I really like it. Miss you too!!!!!

It was extra. There is a free self guided one, a paid one and then the ghosts and legends one. Which wasn't that much more than the regular paid one and if memory serves I got a AAA discount. For some unknown reason I thought to ask as we were buying our tickets and sure enough there was a discount. It was somewhat substantial if memory serves! A nice surprise.

Evan does Jordan proud.

:rotfl:

Who doesn't love a great restroom shot....

I thought of you as I posted it. :thumbsup2

Evan looks to catch me at inopportune moments I think. That and I get some really scary expressions which does make for some funny kodak moments. I do it all the time and do not realize it. Jeff calls it "paragraph face" and apparently I do it alot as I am working, people come by my office and ask if I'm mad at my computer as I am so intent and focused.

Explains the forehead wrinkles.

We did get some fun pictures!

It was a neat tour, appropriately freaky and cheesy all at the same time. The swimming pool was creepy. I think it's all the horror movies where bad things happen in empty pools...the mind just goes there wayyyy too fast. And it's not like anything bad happened in this pool, that's the funny part. The story is that it's a little girl from steerage who found her way to the first class pool and she haunts the pool area. Other guests haunt the changing room but those pics didn't turn out, it wasn't nearly as creepy as the pool.

I was glad Eric calmed down, it was embarrassing for a couple of minutes, he's a little old for that. Eric meltdowns are NOT pretty so I was freaked out it might get ugly but thankfully it abated.

I did a cemetery tour there once, it was so neat! And a Garden District one. I love NOLA!

More coming, it is amazing how many pictures I took that day!

I'm way behind... but just wanted to stop by and say hello!

Me too (behind) and Hi back!

very cool boat pics, i did that haunted tour when i was about 10 when we did our LA trip to my great uncles.

I wonder if it has changed much?

Hi Cynthia :goodvibes

Don't have time to get caught up now, but just trying to stop by and say hey to everyone. Hope the new job is going well!

Doug is out. For now. Hopefully he can join us for at least a couple of days but we will have to just figure it out as it gets closer and be flexible....

We have decided to keep the Illuminations cruise and do Captain’s Grille for dinner before. So the Cape May clambake is out but the Cape May Character bfast is in...

I do have a date night reservation but we will just play that by ear. At this point I am not changing our reservations from 9 to 8, I figure it shouldn’t matter at check in and on the off chance he does come it would be harder to go up...

We are still planning to do the water parks and more but will schedule our day 2 for the surprise water park day.... My vote is for Typhoon lagoon, hands down.

Shopping!

I got new park shoes and have worn them twice already.

Pretty sandals! :thumbsup2

Oh, so sorry about Doug. :sad1: Love the rest of the plan adjustments, especially that you're doing the Illuminations Cruise!

Kathy

Morning, Cynthia! I totally know what your talking about in regards to forehead wrinkles. My sister has them, any BIL is constantly telling her to wipe the "crack" off her face (ie. stop concentrating so hard). Busts me up every time.

your update about the QMary was neat! I love old historical tours and such like that. So pretty. Looking forward to more updates from your CA trip. :goodvibes

HI Carissa! It is going well, I really like it. Crazy busy and still trying to get my arms around my schedule with the new job. Workouts have been suffering (thought it's as much a casualty of baseball as it is of the new job) and that's been making me crazy. I did make it to Pilates thursday and yesterday so feel a bit better but my kitchen is frightening!

Of course right when I feel I have it down, school will be out and I enter the camp schedule juggle.

:rotfl:

and I'm behind on everyone's PTR's and TR's...

Great photos Cynthia. Looks like you all had a great time.

We did! and the day's not over yet.
:goodvibes

Thanks, hopefully it will stop raining so I can break the sandals in! I'm excited about the cruise, only Sandie and I know about it :thumbsup2 gotta keep some surprises in there!

Not to mention the water parks.

Oh mine are awful! Probably making them now as I type. The good part is it works both ways I guess, I can be cracking up and grinning like an idiot as I type too (like I did yesterday when I read Jackie's update!). Makes Jeff wonder what I'm up to!

More coming...after I deal with four starving 11 year old boys. I am glad birthdays only come once a year.

:rotfl:

I knew I remember ghosts on the Queen Mary. So, you didn't see any?

Boy, I'd have been pretty ticked that we'd taken the water taxi and couldn't actually GO to our destination. But, I guess a boat ride is a boat ride, after all.

OK... Eight pages later, I'm all caught up! :faint:

The Queen Mary looks like it was an amazing experience! Thanks for sharing all of the info about the ship & the time period. Very interesting...

I can't believe how much drama there is with your room/ticket/dining plan situation! :headache: But it sounds like you are starting to work out some of the details & everything is coming together. :goodvibes
