Life’s too short...to never sleep in a treehouse! 8/27 TR is up! Link in siggie

Cynthia, I woke up thinking about you and your first day on the job! Well, after I thought about my coffee! :rotfl2: Seriously, I hope you had a fabulous day, and that the first impressions were everything you need/want in a work environment.

Let us hear from you...

Cynthia, I hope you got through your first day at work without any problems! :thumbsup2

It was great!! I wanted to upload all the pics from our LONG day, but photobucket is NOT giving me my upload function. It's almost like I'm not registered or can't log in?? Odd...

I"m about ready to switch my host... any suggestions??

UGH! I'm just waiting for the day my PB is too full and i have to open a second account or I try to reorganize and I break every link out there. Bleh. No good ideas though. I'd try access via a different browser to see if it's a weird issue there
Good luck today, Cynthia!!!

Thanks Jackie!

Have a wonderful day at your new job :goodvibes

Thanks Jennifer!
I hope your day is going well!! pixiedust:

Thanks Amy! It was good.
Hope you had a great first day on the job!

Thanks Glennbo, I did!

Wow - those pillow options are mind boggling! I have no idea which would be best for me. I sleep on my back, side, and occasionally stomach. A friend of mind who bought a Tempurpedic bed a couple years ago gave me one of the tempur pillows that came with it (her hubby didn't want it). I gave it back. It felt great when you first put your head on it, but then as it conformed to you, the material compressed and it actually felt hard under my head. Not pleasant. Maybe that's why the ones on the Select Comfort site give you the option of wrapping your memory foam core in another material. Hmmm. I'd want to try them out for sure before shelling out that kind of dough for a pillow.

I hope you had a great first day at the new job!

Yeah, the nice thing in the store is you can try them out there at least. It's funny, it's a 30 day test but then it's a personal product so it seems like the "might" exchange it, but then again not, if you didn't like it after 30 days. I do plan to get that one at some point if the smaller insert ever comes back in stock. I did have a good day, thanks Rebecca!

Let us hear from you...

It was good, crazy busy, slightly unorganized and involved moving furniture, a 2 hour conference call and a boss whose kid had an ear infection. Sounds like my normal life already! I didn't get online last night as Evan has a VERY soggy baseball game. I can't believe they didn't call it for rain. I realize it's Seattle, but baseball always gets called and while it wasn't raining when it started, it started pouring at about the 3rd inning and dumped for the remainder. WHich they finished. And won 11-10. We were all too drained after that to do more than eat leftovers and watch bad TV. Now I'm staring at the wreckage of easter!

Overall though the boys did well with their one hour. I did decide to get them a cell phone so they can text me questions (allowing computer access just opens up a whole can of worms) as they called 4 times during that one hour lol!

Cynthia, I hope you got through your first day at work without any problems! :thumbsup2

Thanks Magdalene, I did!

me too...

Thanks and :welcome: I don't think you've posted before (or if you have and it's a double welcome, well then double welcome! :goodvibes)

Congratulations Cynthia on your new job!! :goodvibes

Alls well in our neck of the woods - and I must say I do not miss soggy games and practices - here in the Chicago area, if they dont see lightening the games go on!! We really like the hockey - indoor in summer!!

Sandy! It was sooooo wet and we were prepared. Kids had fun though.

How are you?

So happy to hear the boys did well! I think a cell phone is a safe, and great idea!

That baseball game sounds AWFUL!! Ick! Frankly, I'm surprised you're on at all! I'd have thought with the change and all it'd be at least a week or so.

:thumbsup2 on the Android phones. We have several in the demo cabinet to play with. I'm think I'm going to cash in the Berry for an Evo when it comes out this summer. We'll see. Hope the new job is going well.

Glad to hear the day went well for you and you are off to a good start this week! Just as you get warmed up you go on vacation, what perfect timing ;) They will have just enough time to see how incredibly smart they were to hire you, because while you are gone, they will obviously miss having you there, and wonder how they did it without you before you came on board!! That is some great job security! :thumbsup2

Spring break coming up close!!!! HOW fun!!! :yay: :yay:

Well on is relative lol, I'm very behind and probably will be for a while! They called a lot, which is good, but I need to reign it in. Of course one of the neighbors has offered to have them everyday and while I love them, and their kids, Evan in particular actually needs to get right to work and of course tried to negotiate going there today...arrgh. Which of course means they don't get to work right away!

Their kids are younger and not into sports so I'm not sure they get it from a kid time management standpoint and I feel awful as I know they mean well and are just trying to help!

I was too impatient to wait for it...guy tried to talk me into it. I am glad I didn't though as it integrates work and home into one place beautifully, much better than my old smart phone! I figure I'll let the Evo bugs get worked out, upgrade mine in a year and give Jeff the one I just got and then one of the kids can have his Berry. A win win.

Congrats on the new job Cynthia !!!!

Thanks Rosie!

A little break will be really cool and it will FLY for sure, I'm already scheduled back to back most days. My assistant almost cried today with happiness when I showed her a couple of shortcuts that will really help her productivity. Either that or because I took a full bookcase of stuff out of her office and into mine.

:rotfl:

Of course I have to admit I did love hearing how they think I'll really be an asset to the Hawaii market once I get things moving here.

Did I mention that was part of my region?

:thumbsup2

ALOHA!

Hope your first week is going well. Naturally you'll be needing to fly out to check on your region soon. Can never be too in touch. Right?

New job:thumbsup2

Hope all is well with you...we'll have to keep in contact to figure out a good day to meet up!

Naturally! Probably not all that soon though, lots of stuff to do here first!

All is well and YES! I will PM you! :goodvibes

I think the calling will chill out after next week. They probably just are finding their routine, what they can get away with, needing reassuring about the fact taht you ARE available, all that!

Glad you are still "here" with us, despite the big change :)

Are you exhausted??

Nope but then again my kitchen is a wreck from easter, I'm WAY behind on laundry (though that's normal) and we have eaten like carp the last 2 nights :rotfl: it will level out though.

Jeff is going to tweak his schedule starting next week so I can get back to the gym which is awesome!

I think it will take some time to "level out". There are worse things than being behind in laundry! ;) Easy foods- make your own sandwiches, pasta casseroles, etc.... they'll live until a new routine gets itself worked out.

GREAT to hear you will have some time to get back to the gym. I'm not one of them, but I do know there are some people, like Mike, who really feel bad if they can't get there. If it helps you mentally as well as physically, you need to be doing that.

Well between the neck and the new job I am WAY off my workout game and it is starting to get to me. I made it to Zumba last week and that was IT. Not enough. I'm always behind in laundry. :rotfl:

Yeah, that's about what we've eaten the last 2 nights. Bleh.

Glad to hear the E's did okay on their own.:thumbsup2

Getting into a new routine is the hardest. I feel like I still don't have a routine - because with subbing, my schedule is different every week and sometimes I don't know what it will be until that morning. I'm not very efficient this way. Sometimes I think I might get more done if I actually went back to work full time, because then at least I could get into a routine.
