Those drink cards....dangerous.

No kidding! A fair amount of things on there are bleh though...which is a good thing!

They are incomplete though, I know for a fact Germany offers more than one beer though that might be seasonal...and I suppose what is in the Biergarten wouldn't count.

Still, kind of a fun reference sheet.

I may have to try a Roberto Cavalli as I really thought that was an Italian clothing designer, not a drink and I'm rather curious.

I MAY have to borrow those Epcot beverage cards - I'll be celebrating my 21st birthday about a month before our trip and while I don't want to appear as a party-crazed college student (especially to my roommate/trip buddy who will still be underage) I do have a goal to taste at least one alcoholic beverage in each country! I mean, who knows when I'll be back!!

I can understand the feeling. I'm not sure I will ever achieve the lofty goal of each country, there are a few I struggle with, but I love having the list to see what's available! Which is pretty funny since I, as a general rule, do not "do" cocktails at all.

Which the exception of margaritas.

Thanks on the interviews...feeling better now that the resume is done, just need to get through the next 3 days but feel much more prepared now. Still some homework to do.

Okay, you know me by now... I'm just so not a bag person. I love them, but would never splurge on them. I never carry one, i'm the "stuff a debit card i my backpocket" kind of girl, so I can't comment too much about the bags. However, I can say I like the size of the little matching Tink green thing. Pockets are always a good thing!!

But, you know what? I can get very excited about those drink cards. I've already told you I'm not a huge drinker, but give me a vacation, and that many choices, well you never know what will happen! I like to have all the options at my finger tips!! Nice! Very nice!! Printing now! With the extra days- well, what can I say?!

Well you are not a splurge person, which is a good thing. It would be better if I was less of one to be sure. I go both ways on the bags, love them, have them, lug them around. Or I just toss my card holder in my pocket.

I do like pockets though, and having the right size bag for the job and think this will be just perfect.

Those cards cracked me up! Jeff and his brother will get a huge kick out of them.

Just to set the record straight...I have NO intention of personally filling out a card.

Howeer, with 5 adults, the collective could. Still it's doubtful.

Upon reading I see maybe 9 things of interest on the cocktail list, a few more on the beer. However me personally, will likely fall into the 2-6 range for the full week including dinners in Epcot depending on how much time we spend there. But I do like having the menu ahead of time! This way I can convince others in the group to try stuff and I get a sip

Seriously, those drinks add up! Which is why we will have stuff from the grocery store delivered, then it's only 1 park drink, one at the resort, or whatever. Saves a lot of cash!

Now about those drink cards!! I thought they looked familiar - I'm sure I snagged them and didnt use them - You cant use a dry erase marker (It'll get smudged off - and you may end up drinking the same thing twice! )

I think I'm most looking forward to trying the Welsh Dragon, from pics on the restaurant board - I dont like creme de menthe and cant imagine it in a drink, but posters say it cuts the sweetness, and didnt taste minty at all!! hmmm

You are a wise wise man my friend.

We will see if the card really gets us the upgrade, if it does it is well worth it. Worst case I will be $25 out of pocket and of that $20 is good for merch at the hotel which I know Taylor will eat up like candy and $5 covers my "free" bag and pin so I don't really feel like I spent anything. Which I'm sure is the idea so it worked on me like a charm!

Enough reports of the upgrade working to give it a shot.

Oh and it did include a years sub to Rolling Stone, which Tay doesn't get now so he will like that!

Yeah, the list is outdated. I will probably make my own and update it but I love the concept. I definitely want the cava listed! There are also beers missing from Germany at a minimum.

There are some countries, several, I could skip entirely but that is good to know too!

Thanks! She arrived today and she is PERFECT! I couldn't be happier with the size and everything! I can fit a huge sunglasses case, or even 2 cases if they are smaller, my binder, camera, card holder, lip gloss phone and a bottle water, possibly even a fan mister but that might be pushing it. I can't imagine what else I'd need, ponchos and more sunscreen will go in the daypack. Need to test out some combo's but it's perfect.

Phew! Kids are plugged into the Magnificent 7, and I have time to waste, kill, enjoy, and all that good stuff. I love watching the ADR drama unfold with Tim and Jordan. Sheesh, I'm glad our trip is going to be out of the this nonsense!

Okay, printed off the drink card, and I'll be sticking that into the "Meal Planning" Section. Not that I'd drink a meal, , but that did seem like the logical place.

Wonderful pix of the kids. How do they grow up so fast. I was SHOCKED to find a picture of my son holding hands with a girl on FB a couple nights ago!! I mean, I know that's what we all hope for, normal relationships with girls, wisdom in how they interact, etc..., but I sure was shocked!!! I just never guessed I'd find out he liked a girl via FB!!

Thanks on the job, first batch is today It's been a LONG time since I've done the whole live interview thing. Frankly I've not done it much at all, I've always been blessed enough to be recruited into the next position so....it's a little nervewracking. I've been on the other side of the table many a time so hopefully that will help. I am a bit befuddled at the speed with which this has unfolded and will be curious as to what I can find out as to the "why". We will see. My biggest concern is performance expectations. This is an industry that, IHMO, requires a lot of tenacity, patience and understanding of the length of the sales cycle. Which is long.
How realistic they are about that aspect is the question. I walked away from another opp at a different company that just didn't get it (and wondered why they weren't making headway...)

If nothing else, my resume looks a lot better than it did before this happened, it needed a gutting and overhaul so that's a good thing.

Young GW! I love that idea. I may have to steal that back, I can totally see Eric doing a president at some point. I'm hoping to give him one of the fandexes as a stocking stuffer....

He is in love with his lab coat, it is the cutest thing. Having is name on it I think is part of the attraction. He told me he is wearing it next year but going as a doctor. Bear in mind this child gets fixated on a costume and it sticks. He was Blue (from blues clues) for 2 years, a policeman for THREE and then an astronaut last year. But in a research jumpsuit lol!

I made him a couple of science related tshirts to wear underneath, I'll post those pics, they turned out cute! He was quite the hit at his pack meeting last night though I don't think my knees have recovered (Halloween Carnival and somehow I ended up with bowling...lots of pin "resetting"). They get awards for everything at those, he got the best "mad scientist" and I was very worried he would be upset by that as he is SO literal. When he was 3 and someone would say "Hi Blue" at Halloween he would get very indignant and state "I'm not Blue, I'm Eric!". And so he was an inventor, NOT a mad scientist. He was very very clear about that. At least to us.

He let it go. Didn't faze him in the least. Neither did winning "best alien" for his pumpkin (which, while I'm not sure exactly what it was, was not an alien). It is amazing how much better his reactions are getting and whether it is maturity, the right environment at school, his fabulous new teacher, or what, it's a lovely thing to witness.

Oh feel free to come up for a different weekend, I'm sure I can manage to run away to BC more than once I'd like to run away to F&W this weekend but...oh well.

I am very excited about the train. And the hotel...and the restaurant for dinner and cracking one of our special bottles of Barolo we brought back from Italy in '06 and have been saving for this anniversary!

I have a feeling the picnic in AK will come down to what kind of food folks are hungry for versus heat. I'm thinking though that it might be less hot if we can picnic in some shade.

Isn't it weird to be "friends" with your kids on FB? A good thing if they want you to be, for sure! It does make one mindful with the status updates.



Tay is funny, not a lot of girl action yet. He had a "girlfriend" in 6th grade and then nada until last year when he took a girl from youth group to Homecoming. She was scary. I'm sure she is sweet and all that but beyond the fact that she was 2 years older I was appalled at what her parent let her wear to the dance. But they are just friends, we let it go (just a lot of private ) and it's all been fine.

We'd like him to find a nice girl for sure. We know there's been interest on other sides but we do suspect he rather likes playing the part of mysterious rocker guy....he's less likely to meet someone now that he's at running start but I wouldn't be surprised if something new via youth group surfaces. It is a HUGE YG and apparently they are planning a ski trip to France?

I remember my first Europe trip, a Band trip in HS, definitely started my first "real" bf/gf. It will be interesting if he manages to go on it. We've not been hit up yet. Seems to me they could ski at Whistler after the Olympics are over for a heck of a lot less....it's a bit much but then again so is his church from what I can tell (he goes to a different one).

I hear you on the ADR mess, so glad I'm not part of it either. I really don't want to get up at 3am for ressies 180 days out.....but at least by then the system should be ok. I think!

I am thrilled to have you here. The Biscuit is Great, is he not! I can only hope to aspire to the sheer entertainment value he offers. He is far funnier to be sure. And anyone on my PTR not reading the Great Biscuits, I tell you, you are missing out! For some reason the Northwest just does not lend itself to the wonderful expressions of the south and Texas is of course, it's own country!

The sweet Lady Lallie hangs over here too so I think you'll recognize a couple of names.

You are incredibly sweet, I can only hope to live up to your kind words and I hope you will stay with us for the ride (and that I don't bore you to tears after page 5!), it will be entertaining if nothing else. Having survived one TR, I'm having a lot more fun with my PTR...it took me a bit to go fully down the overshare road and now I think I'm on the expressway! Or freeway as we call it here.

Which is a good or a bad thing depending on your opinion.

I thought it was high time I made my way over here. Truth be told, I'm more of a trip report junkie than a pre-trip report gal. I have a hard enough time waiting for my own trips to happen never mind others so I went through your Fort Wilderness report first.

Good Luck with the new job/career opportunity. After the birth of my third child I realized my current career didn't work anymore and had to do some soul searching (fueled by our financial needs).

Although I am an east coast (okay central and eastern inland) gal two of my BFF's live out in BC and I have been lucky enough to visit them many times. It is beautiful in the west. Though about making the move out there many times. Until we had kids. Than the though of leaving family made that move seem unpalatable after that.
