Life’s too short...to never sleep in a treehouse! 8/27 TR is up! Link in siggie

well, once i got started on the 18th i realized i needed to tweak some of the others!

Aurora belonged on an epcot page and golfing mickey really seemed more at home at the yacht club. I also made some other tweaks to the 17th. Of course by changing published pages i am pretty sure that makes this

v0.9

Updated pages

That is really weird! They are still there in the original post...and in photobucket...very odd!

MM is only on the list as it's really the only place that works for DHS without leaving the park. We've done PTC and Sci Fi, I have no desire to try Hollywood and Vine and BD is a 2 credit meal...

That said I know Great Biscuit loved it, Jeff adores Italian and if we can get a Fantasmic package...I could live with it.

I really want Sanaa for our AK day but we will see what the collective thinks.

How I love your binder pages!!! :lovestruc They are just fabulous!!!

Yes, put Tutto on your list of prospective ADRs. ;)

Thank you!!!!!!!!!! And I think I will add Tutto :goodvibes

So many good places, not enough days!

The third ingredient is Sprite or 7-Up. She said she uses a 2-liter bottle of Spite, about 6 or 7 scoops of vanilla ice cream, and enough lemonade to fill the punch bowl (or, "to taste").
that sounds realy good...maybe I'll do that for christmas day..

,The drink of champions. Especially if you modify it as follows. 3/4 mt dew, 1/3 dr pepper.

You could do flavored hot cocoas...unless chocolate has too much caffeine. Peppermint, Gingerbread, Vanilla, Raspberry. An "add your own" type set up
I've never heard of mixing mt dew and dr pepper...hmmm...may have to try that.
I love the hot cocoa idea..

Cherie, clarify. Is this a pre-dinner drink? during dinner drink? something to go with snacks? AFter dinner- sitting around the fire thing??

!

yes, yes and yes...
Our party was tonight and I stuck with eggnog and pomegranete 7-up..

Cynthia, I LOVE your binder pages...I think I have serious binder envy.

I have a new crush, on your binder pages... I tried to steer clear of adultery, but I can't help it on this one!

I'm working on mine too, but they suck compared to yours- very plain Jane, but extremely utilitarian. I think I was personally responsible for the lives of about 32 trees in the process.

I haven't tried ANY of your places- except Tutto. But that was in 2000. Long enough I can think about giving it another go. It completely got a 0/10back then.

ANyway, NO FIREWORKS??!!

Love Mt. dew and Dr. Pepper mixed together. My secret weakness if I am

1. Actually drinking soda and
2. At a place where you make your own and they have both as an option.

Both of which is pretty darn rare.

Thanks on the pages! I'd like to do another today but really should do a multitude of other things like..

shop
bake
wrap
apply for jobs

binder page sounds WAY more fun!

Utilitarian is probably easier to read! I've only printed my cover and one sample day in the attempt to save trees.

And color ink.

No fireworks on the 18th.... ideally we will have seen wishes on the 15th and fantasmic on the 17th. None on the 16th as that's AK day and none on the 18th since it'll be EMH at DHS.

Heck we barely saw them once on the last trip, if I get to see all 3 at least once, I'll be good. I've got Illuminations in there twice after this and then one more Wishes I think but that's getting ahead of myself!

0/10? Wow, that's the kind of review that kept it off the list entirely. The problem is there are SO many yummy places to eat in Epcot!!! It will be interesting to see what the gang pics...I'll be killing tree's printing up menus the day after xmas.

Hi there! :wave2:

I'm joining in! I read your TR from your trip to the FW cabins at your suggestion on Liesa's TR - you are right - I think we could make a cabin doable. It definitely sounds very peaceful, and the extra room would be nice. Anyway, I loved reading your report - you guys are a fun group, and you seem to have blended your families very seamlessly!:thumbsup2 So now, I'm working my way through your PTR, but I'm only about halfway. Just wanted to let you know I'm here. Merry Christmas!

I think tutto is different from what it was in 2000, I know they had a remodel and new company take over a couple of years ago.

It's one of my favorites.

That is quite a list of restaurants!

I love your page, they are so creative and pretty.

I know, it's a bit much. I could cheerfully cut at least 1/3 of them out but they are in for viewing as the may well appeal to others in the clan.

and, thanks!

Hi Rebecca! Thanks for reading my TR, I'm glad it helped with the cabin question. Some days it feels seamless and others rather scattered but thank you.

:welcome: :welcome:

I'm going to add it in as an option. What's one more, right?

Feelling the binder love! Your restaurant list looks AWESOME.

Have a Merry Christmas Ya'll!

We had to cut out about 1/3 of ours too. Reality hits hard when working with time and $$ constraints. So many choices- so little time.

Merry Merry right back at you!

I hear you! I'd like to cut 1/3 out before they look at it but well, I'd rather have buy in so options are good!

As you can see, not a 2 TS place on the list. B&C is only there as that seems like a good OOP date night option for Sandie and Paul to take the kids to assuming we use one TS for the GG breakfast.

Personally, I'd cut out the following.
  1. Big River (just ok, far better options)
  2. Crystal Palace (not a big buffet fan)
  3. Rose & Crown (like other WS options better)
  4. Tusker House (like Sanaa better)
  5. Yak & Yeti (like Sanaa better)
  6. Teppan Edo (only so we can do all new places!)
  7. Cape May (again, not a big buffet fan)

But I know all are places people would like so....trying to be very flexible!

We shall see!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

:santa::santa::santa::santa::santa::santa:
We went and saw a Christmas Carol last night. I have to admit, even hearing from several on this board and friends that it was pretty scary, I was a little surprised at just how scary it was in parts.

Evan screamed.
Kendall said it was a Horror Movie
Eric jumped several times

We LOVED it!

I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday, full of magical memories and minimal drama.

As we busily prepare our own holiday traditions, I'd love to know some of yours!

  • What do you do Christmas Eve?
  • Christmas Day?
  • What is your MUST have Christmas food?
  • What is your MUST have Christmas dessert?
  • Holiday Tradition?

For me, it's all about the food! And family. And the message!

We will be at my mom's tonight, turkey dinner with stuffing. I'll be bringing my chipotle whipped sweet potatoes and my cheddar cheese crust apple pie.

We will be having some of Grumpy's hot buttered rum's, we've not had one yet this season.

Christmas eve service and then Santa will get busy, there will be sleigh-bells ringing!

Tomorrow is a quiet morning with just the 4 of us and the required pumpkin roll while we see what Santa brought.

Noon takes us to my sisters for brunch, made to order scrambles made by my other sister and this year my brother is insisting on adding biscuits and gravy to the mix, a healthy version with soy sausage...he says it's the bomb so I will report! Mimosas will abound. I'm contributing the mimosas. This is probably my favorite meal since I don't have to do a darn thing except refill drinks!

Jeff was assigned beer. For breakfast. Which we all found very amusing.

We will get K&T sometime in between brunch and dinner.

Dinner brings prime rib, salmon, caesar salad and baked potatoes. My sister is a preschool teacher so her goal is that for dessert we help deplete the multitude of cookies and candy that she was given by her parents. I'm on salad duty here.

After dinner we hightail it home to have family presents with K&T and phone calls to Jeff's folks. It is a LATE night but a fun one!

What a great idea for a post!

Christmas Eve we go over to the inlaws. We do a seafood buffet type meal. We are making scallops wrapped in bacon and a crab dip. Other people are making crab rangoons, coconut shrimp, salad and some sort of fish chowder or lobster bisque. The food is great!

Christmas Day we go over to my parents. We have Roast, Yorkshire Pudding, Carrots with bacon and lots of other yummy stuff. For dessert we have cheesecake.

Then we'll head home and Marc & I will exchange presents. :santa:

Cynthia, Merry Christmas!!! :santa: My stomach was growling just reading your food descriptions!

For Christmas Eve, we head to my parents' for dinner and presents. We always have Mexican food, and this year, I am bringing a Tres Leches cake.

Christmas morning, we will probably be up at the crack of dawn opening gifts and then watching the Disney parade. Around noon we will head to my SIL's for brunch. I am bringing the hash brown casseroles, the mini pancake muffins, and the Lemon Fizzes. We will then hang out there for quite awhile playing games and such. :)

I am all about the food and message as well.

Merry Christmas, hon!

Christmas Eve is all about the three of us. We're staying home this year (which is our favorite thing to do), and according to Italian tradition, we make thirteen dishes, none of which can be meat. There's a lot of fish in my house tonight! :goodvibes Thank god I recently got my appetite back, or that would have been killer.

Tomorrow, we'll have our nice quiet morning, and then Mom, Nana, my Dad, my FIL over for the day. It'll be a relaxed marathon snacking/meal interspersed with present opening and finally dessert. Quite frankly, it's perfect.

But my favorite part, by far, will be watching my son open his gifts. He's so excited about Santa coming. :santa:

My traditions have changed !

Christmas Eve is usually quiet other than last minute wrapping and shopping !Cookies, milk and carrots for Santa and Rudolph!!!Early to bed !! For the kids that is but then our work starts !!!

Christmas morning starts when the kids get up ( hopefully not toooooo early)!! First is stockings and then the gifts !!
We keep breakfast simple .this year breakfast hot pckets and muffinswashed down with juice !!
Dinner his year is back to an old Tradition with my ex in laws I have to bring a potato casserole anda mincemeat pie ( with sherry) Judy imaking a relish tray!!

Then my Tradition is the 26th to hit Walmart for all the 50% off stuff for next year:rotfl2:
