Life’s too short...to never sleep in a treehouse! 8/27 TR is up! Link in siggie

Ohhh, Cherie, that would be too funny!! :lmao: What about Cranberry with Gingerale, infused with orange floaties? I dont' mean floatie floaties, just you know, orange peel with squeezy stuff. and don't forget the ice cubes made from something fun. Like maybe orange juice with cinammon??

That sounds good.

Magic eggnog at that.;)

Magic it is. I foresee a second 1/4 batch happening sooner rather than later.

I don't know where I'd store a whole batch, it makes a HUGE quantity! Perfect for a party though....

Although Jeff is jonesing to make his irish so that will be the next nightcap once this runs out.

The recipe for hot buttered rum sounds divine!!! I will have to make a note of that one! I bought all the stuff for Happydog's Lemon Fizzes today while I was out and about. I am thinking I should make a test batch before Christmas day.

Oh I forgot about those lemon fizzes, we always have mimosas all day , or at least until the naps set in, but should go check those out again, thanks for the reminder!

Test batches are VERY important. I just tested spiced shortbread and a new butter toffee recipe

:goodvibes

:cool1::woohoo: Wooo hooo Evan!!!! Yippeee!!!! You must be so proud!!! That is a tremendous feet! A lot of hard work, long hours and dedication!!!! Congrats!!!!

Thanks!!!!!!!!

I'm going to have to take a picture of his hand from that power break. Yowza does that boy have a bruise!

all this talk about drinks.....I'm in charge of the drinks for our family party...any ideas for something without alcohol? All I need is a bunch of drunk mormons..

:rotfl:

Mnn.

The HBR's sans rum is still pretty tasty for a warm drink, plain eggnog with some spices added, caramel apple cider, coffee but with plain or light eggnog instead of creamer and you can do mimosas with sparkling but make it "fancy" using POM or something like that.

I am so NOT a punch person I am of no help there.

Judy makes a punch called "Snow" which is pretty good. Unfortunately, she's already in bed so I don't think I'd better go ask her how to make it...or I may find myself out in the snow. I know it's really easy, like 3 ingredients, lemonade, vanilla ice cream, and ???? (I know it may sound strange already, but it's good.)

That'd work except they don't do coffee either, right Cherie?

that sounds good! I'm glad you clarified what type of floaties..;)

I've got the eggnog...personally to me it's like drinking nutmeg flavored snot.:scared:
what is a mimosa?

can't imagine why you don't want to wake her..

that does sound good...we do a sprite and sherbet drink...can't have a wedding without it.

That'd work except they don't do coffee either, right Cherie?

nope, no coffee..about as wild as we get is pepsi.;)

We may be crossing the line for Cynthia with those kind of comments. Always good to push the envolope though, I say. ;)

Mimosa is champagne and OJ. Super tasty! But you'd have to modify it.

You wild thing, you!!

maybe I could be risky and use mt.dew....

The third ingredient is Sprite or 7-Up. She said she uses a 2-liter bottle of Spite, about 6 or 7 scoops of vanilla ice cream, and enough lemonade to fill the punch bowl (or, "to taste").

,

floating cranberries in it would be pretty and festive too!

one word.

Decaf.

Nutmeg flavoured snot!

:rotfl:

Yeah Liesa, careful with the floaties!

Sprite and Sherbert. Shower punch. Baby shower, wedding shower....

You could do it with sparking cider. Not sure how the oj would be with it though, I'd probably try either POM (pomegranate, a very little goes a LONG way for flavour) or a blueberry juice. If blueberry, you could float blueberries in the glasses...

maybe I could be risky and use mt.dew....

:rotfl:

The drink of champions. Especially if you modify it as follows. 3/4 mt dew, 1/3 dr pepper.

You could do flavored hot cocoas...unless chocolate has too much caffeine. Peppermint, Gingerbread, Vanilla, Raspberry. An "add your own" type set up

That actually sounds good, a nice twist on the sherbet punch.

LOVE the make your own cocoa bar.

Cherie, clarify. Is this a pre-dinner drink? during dinner drink? something to go with snacks? AFter dinner- sitting around the fire thing??

Anyway, you have loads of ideas now. This should go a long way!

Happy times!

I want to get the rest of my first draft binder pages done over the holidays so that I can then hash out ADR's with Sandie. Jeff has changed his position so the kids will be looking at menu's over break.

So, that said, I couldn't remember how far I got on my layouts, even with my new spreadsheet and all. Sad huh.

So...a recap.

ADR choices.

This is the current list of what I have sent to Sandie to read. Yep, 40 pages of menu's. And this is just for dinner! We need to pick 7 out of the 18 although most likely one of these will be OOP as we will use a TS for the grand gathering breakfast.

:rotfl2:

  1. Beaches and Cream
  2. Big River Grille
  3. Cape May
  4. Captains Grille
  5. Coral Reef
  6. Crystal Palace
  7. Kouzzina
  8. Le Cellier
  9. Les Chefs
  10. Mama Melrose
  11. Ohana
  12. Rose and Crown
  13. Sanaa
  14. Teppan Edo
  15. Tokyo Dining
  16. Tusker House
  17. Wave
  18. Yak and Yeti

While I certainly have my fav's on here, right now the only 2 must-do's that I will "fight" for are Sanaa and Ohana. I can live with anything else. I may have to add Tutto to the list after reading Jackie's review of this this morning though...

Binder pages to date.

Ok, now that I know were I am....next page coming soon! I still have 5 to do!

There will be tweaking early Feb based on park hours and fireworks times, I think we are going to have to eat earlier than we are used to most nights but if we get on EST this time, we will be fine

lol.

Next. The votes are in!

Well, once I got started on the 18th I realized I needed to tweak some of the others!

Aurora belonged on an Epcot page and golfing Mickey really seemed more at home at the Yacht Club. I also made some other tweaks to the 17th. Of course by changing published pages I am pretty sure that makes this

v0.9

:rotfl:

Updated pages

New page! No fireworks noted here as if we stick to this plan, I don't expect to see any.

Good luck narrowing down that list! I've only eaten at 3 of them: Mama Melrose, Ohana, and Sanaa...and enjoyed each.

Love love love your binder pages. How did you make them?

thanks! everything is in Adobe Illustrator

Well the kids will have definite opinions, I would really prefer to go 100% new places but am 99& sure I'll get overruled on Teppan Edo
:goodvibes

So if I get my way on Ohana and Sanaa, then there are only 4 to pick.
