What an awesome breakfast!!! I love that they gave you pins, and even the pancakes are Mickey-shaped!!! :thumbsup2 Not to mention, how cute the picture of the boys and Minnie is!!! What a hoot that Jeff is pretending to kiss Minnie!!! :rotfl2: I really can't wait to see all the fun and antics you are bound to have on the Disney World trip!!!

I'd double check the times closer to your trip but I totally agree about PUSH. We saw him in '04 and it was so much fun!

I loved the pins, totally unexpected! I absolutely adore that picture of Jeff and the boys, Minnie's reaction to it was even cuter! It was such a great breakfast, anyone going to DLR should really try it. It's not the only character breakfast but oh, we will go back for sure! I heard some mixed reviews about the other ones (all THREE hotels have one! plus 2 in the parks) and this was less expensive (I think) and had such a cool menu, and was in our hotel, it was a no-brainer!

Mu guess is Jeff will advocate to stay at the GC next time but who knows. I have a lot of friends that are huge fans of the DL hotel and like that pool the best. We may have to try all 3 at some point. :rotfl:

GREAT looking, yummy breakfast!! So fun- and I LOVE the picture you got- the one you bought! It's a really good one of all of you.

I got a kick out of the PCH reference. My favorite little Italian hole in the wall was on the PCH just north of Newport. Can't for the life of me remember the name of it, but that sure brought back some memories!

What a nice breakfast! The selections sound great! I would definitely be eating that fritatta looking dish! :rotfl: smoothies, too! YAY! Not sure if we have time for a character breakfast but we will see. Thanks for sharing!! hope the pie at least gets a happy ending ...

I love your day 2 plans.
The Surf's Up breakfast looks like fun.
In a few more days, you'll be able to do online check-in :yay:

Yep, the restaurant is actually called the PCH Grill. :thumbsup2

I like the picture, not sure I love the fact the pattern on my suit shows through my dress but it's a fun pic and for once Eric doesn't have the dorky cheesy look going on. :rotfl: But hey, we were dressed for the surf to be up, right? I am glad I bought it, really need to frame it, it's still out in the cute Surf's Up folder that the set came in.

Every time I look at the ones with the just the 2 boys and Mickey I'm amazed at how tall the E's look!

that flat bread looks pretty darn good, did they hash at the breakfast, the hash we had at crystal palace was awesome with a capital A

I am pretty sure I had seconds on the flatbread (the spinach one but both were yummy) and definitelly on the fritatta thingy. SO yummy! I want to say the smoothie I had was a banana type and there was also a berryish one.....

If you can squeeze it in, I highly highly highly recommend it! Of course there is Storytellers at the GC so that might make more sense for you to check out, the one at DL sounds too manic for me but supposedly has more characters. For me, it was plenty. No Donald but Daisy made up for it and all Evan cared about was Goofy so he was in heaven. This one is a bit more low key than the others so for us, it was perfect!

That poor pie....so sad and neglected....

WOOT! I actually forgot about that! I do, of course, being me, have it in outlook so a reminder will pop up on Saturday to check in for WL but that put a smile on my face Jennifer! Thanks for the reminder! :goodvibes

I am VERY torn about online versus not for the YC....and more than a little frustrated that for whatever reason, on the YC/BC resort thread I've never gotten one response to a post. Unlike the WL thread which is super welcoming....

Not ONE! I haven't posted much on either but still!

Odd.

For what it's worth, we have done online check-in for our last three stays and every time our room was ready when we got there. On this last trip, I requested a ground floor room, and we got that, too. I don't know if doing online check-in really helped with the room being ready all those times, but I like to believe it had something to do with it.

Morning All!!! One of the FREE trips I could go on is to LA and DL sooooo if I ever go on that one I will be looking for tips from you and a couple of other Dissers from that area !! Wonder who they might be ???:confused3:lmao::lmao:

That's a darn good question. I'd give it a 50/50 chance. Hash, and biscuits and gravy for that matter are not very west coast and the offerings were definitely steered towards the west coast "style" but it's entirely possible that they had them and I was so enamored with the flatbreads I didn't even notice!

Ah - just so ya know - They do Hula Hoop contests at the WL pool at exactly the time you will be there. Go Eric. The kids I watched were great. They couldn't get a winner so they kept adding more hoops until they were up to 5! So fun to watch!

Your first day plans are really ambitious. I hope everything goes as planned and you get to know most of what you want. i loved looking at last years pictures. They were great. Won't everyone be suprised when you get in the WL line. Nice!

I'm doing it for WL, that would be some major pixie dust if our room is ready when we get there, though I'd really like a bunk bed room for one of the rooms and you can't book it that way and have both rooms under one ressie apparently...which makes no sense to me and we can't note it on the ressie, they've told us just to ask at check in.

I just can't decide on the YC as it's two separate parties checking in separately but wanting connecting rooms, not to mention we need to add Evan to their room and make ourselves back into a Grand Gathering! I probably will do online but....need to confirm Sandie plans to as well before I do it.

:thumbsup2 You'd have a blast!

Eric will need some work, Evan may need to get his hoop on! When we were there last year it was just the limbo...he'd be all over the hula hoops. I've not seen him try to hula more than one at a time.

You know, if we do nothing on day one, that will be fine too. We do think it's best to have a plan, to stay busy and keep everyone up but...whatever happens will be good!

Except the boys REALLY need a haircut. As long as that gets done, I'm good.

:rotfl:

8:00 wake up. This of course will depend on what time we went to bed. If we really just stayed up the day before we will have crashed HARD after dinner so 8am should be about right. We are very flexible this day as to start time.

8:30 am Roaring Forks light OOP Breakfast, there is a made to order yogurt parfait with my name on it! I had one last year and have been looking forward to it again ever since. If somehow we forgot to mention the water parks and more aspect of their tickets the day before it will be SURPRISE!

Sleepyheads can miss breakfast or we bring something back to room. No showers. Suncreen applied!

9:30 am - on bus to Typhoon Lagoon! BRING OWN BEACH TOWELS! The E's are mentioning BB. Jeff and I want TL. We win. :rotfl: I figure we can squeeze in a BB visit for a couple of hours on move day, or other, if everyone really wants.

Now, the beach towel thing is my plan, in concept, ....based on room in suitcases. I have zero interest in renting towels and certainly having our own with us will make finding our chairs at pools over the 2 week trip easier. But we will see how it goes once packing commences'

I wish I had some pictures of our 04 visit to TL but am sure I didn't bring it at all so it wouldn't get wet! Always a challenge at a water park lol! We will need to rent a locker I think this time....need to check into that. I can't relax in rivers and such with stuff sitting out (besides towels of course).

10 am - 2pm Typhoon Lagoon. This may be too much time, not enough time, who knows! Definitely playing this one by ear.

Typhoon Tilly’s or Lowtide Lou’s Lagoon CS for lunch (CS#2)

2 pm - Back to resort , shower, change
3:30 - get on bus to Downtown Disney
4 pm - Downtown Disney, Disney Quest, Goofys (Snack #2)

Meet up with JULIE and her mom! Whoo hoo! This is a new addition. One of my college friends lives on Tybee Island and is going to drive up to join us for dinner. I was lucky enough to be able to rebook it for the exact same time but for 8 people so don't even have to add on. They think they are going to spend the night up there (not sure where yet) and join us the next morning at DHS. Julie is a very good friend from college, part of my gourmet club and a sorority sister. I haven't seen her in 8 years and am super super excited to hang out with her! Jeff may get to hear some good stories. :rotfl:

We may, or may not hit DQ. We will shop. How much, I don't know. I want to hit TrendD and the kids have WOD and Goofy's on their list. I can't imagine why they want to go to Goofy's.

Oh wait, yes I do.

In fact, we will probably hit Goofy's the minute we get there...so no one wrecks their dinner! It's funny, looking at these pictures that are a year and a half old I realize not one of those sweatshirts still fit the kids! Amazing.

Taylor will want to go by HOB and see who's playing

7:00 pm Raglan Road for dinner (TS#2- 6TS) I am very excited about this meal! Entertainment starts at 8 so hopefully we get to see a little bit of it.

8:30 pm - bus back back to WL

9:15-10:30 - Electric Boat Parade from WL Beach @9:25, Watch Nightastic from beach @10. Julie and her mom may or may not join us for this, up to them.

Bed!

In two weeks....Day 4. Mania!

oh yeah another question i forgot to ask in hte last chapter, did that mickey head sun tan lotion thing really work on her stomach?
