Hello everybody. I have a trip planned for Disney next year and it's a tradition that my first day there I spend it at the Magic Kingdom. Thinking about eating at the Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner. Never eaten there before and thought I would give it a try. Comments and suggestions about eating there would be most appreciated. Thanks.

I haven't eaten dinner there, but was there for lunch in August. I LOVED it!! It was one of my favorite meals all week. I had the pot roast and mashed potatoes. The meat was so tender and delicious, and the potatoes were great too! I had the ooey gooey toffee cake for dessert which was heavenly!:worship:

Love it.:lovestruc It's tradition with us to start off our vacation with dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern. It's like Thanksgiving and being at Disney is a lot to be thankful for for our family.
Give it a try you can't go wrong!

The comments that I read about dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern are generally favorable. However, I can't speak about dinner firsthand because...

We love Liberty Tree Tavern's lunch so much that we always go to lunch. My family and I always get the pot roast and turkey dinners. But the cherry on the top is one of our favorite dessert on property - the ooey gooey toffee cake. LTT does not serve that dessert for dinner. The lunches always provide plenty of food and lunch is a little lighter on the wallet if you are paying out of pocket.

We love lunch there to the point that it's practically a must-do for us. Dinner is sorta mehh. It's family style all-you-can-eat, and the food's just not that amazing. I remember the meat being pretty dry, and mainly eating mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. It's sponsored by Stouffer's, so the mac and cheese is the same that you get in the freezer section at your local grocery store; we like it, but a lot of ppl don't.

If you're getting in early enough to do lunch (I believe they stop serving at 3), go for that instead. :hippie:

Another lover of LTT's lunch. We ate there this past February and have an ADR for next February also for lunch!!!!!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I have to admit I'm not a lover of turkey and I'm picky about pot roast but the lunch menu is great for me. I had the colony salad along with the apple dessert which were both to die for. I'm going to have the exact same meal the next time!!!! :lovestruc I'm making myself hungry!!!!!!! Have a great trip!!!!!!!

We ate dinner there once and from what I recall we were not impressed. I believe it was family style and nothing special for the price. That was a couple of years ago so I am not sure if anything has changed.

Stouffer's no longer sponsor's this restaurant. Not sure if that changes the quality of the food as I've not been since the change, but thought you should know it has changed.

Ate there in Oct....it was by far the worst meal of the trip....I would not go back for Dinner......i have heard lunch is much better though.....:)

we ate there for dinner in sept and it was one of our favorite meals. We will be back next year

We were there for lunch 2 weeks ago and it was AMAZING. GREAT pot roast & the dessert was delish as well. I would love to return on our next trip but not sure we're going to have the time :(

have been there for lunch...it was good. We will go back for lunch. Good choices on the menu for traditional American foods (like pot roast...but don't get that if it's a hot summer day!)

We ate dinner there back when they had characters in Patriot costumes ...that made it worth it. Food at dinner was just OK...like a buffet version of Thanksgiving meal (i.e., preformed turkey, so-so ham, etc.) If we were there for Thanksgiving holiday and desperate for something resembling a Traditional turkey-day meal, then we'd maybe go back for the meal, otherwise, no way on dinner.

We definitely have to try Liberty Tree Tavern on our next trip. I've heard so many great things about this restaurant. I also like that the food is served family style here.

...Wow, I think my family and I are a part of the few who love them for dinner! We have been there twice now for dinner and absolutely love it!!! The first time, my fiance got to have his ham but for some reason they switch it off every now and then, so this last trip we had pork instead.

I am curious to try lunch now though....Maybe my fiance and I will just have to eat there 2x for our honeymoon!!! :rotfl:

Either way, it's a permanent choice in our hearts! :thumbsup2

We have eaten there on both of our trips and love it! The meats are so tender and juicy and the stuffing and gravy are delicious. Our trips were 2 and 1/2 years apart and the quality of the food was just as good the 2nd time as the first. I am sure the next time we go we will eat there again. I highly recommend it!

Please everybody keep the comments and suggestions going. The lunch does sound good but I don't think I will make it in time for lunch. Liberty Tree and Tony's are the only two table service restaurants I have not tried at MK. Eaten at Cinderella's and Crystal. Enjoyed the character interaction; the food was okay. Liberty for me has a slight lead over Tony's.

We had dinner there in Jan and loved it. We will definitely go back but not this year as we are doing QSDP.

Ugh... this thread makes me sad :( I have been trying to switch our Crystal Palace dinner adr for a LTT adr (lunch or dinner) for over 2 months. Hopefully I can get one in the next 10ish days!
