Trip coming up and haven’t been to Liberty Tree Tavern in years because my wife has a salt allergy none of her food can be cooked with salt and I know LTT is a preprepared menu. Every place we eat is Disney is very accommodating and we never have a problem. She can have grilled chicken or fish just prepared plain or with garlic and oil same with vegetables.
wondering if since this is a buffet/all you can eat if anyone knows if it’s possible that they would be able to accommodate. I love the LTT food and would like to go and don’t expect that they would even have the food on hand to cook for her but figured I would ask?

I have good news for you. Disney is wonderful when it comes to food allergies we visit every few years and can eat at most TS places including buffets and dinner shows but have to stay away from anything too exotic. We were last there in November. Usually we had lunch at LTT with the a la carte menu which they do not have anymore it was our first time doing the AYCTE. My DM has a salt allergy and my DH has a dairy allergy and also can’t have black pepper or any spice that is hot and they were so good at accommodating. I had noted it on the ADR as dairy and other so allergy was stamped on our ticket when we checked in and when the waitress came to the table she saw this and got a chef. We could all have the salad. I can’t remember if they had rolls. For the entree they were brought plates of meat with sides tailored to them. They were too stuffed for dessert. I was brought a plate with the regular meats and sides and had the OGTC for dessert.

Just so you know you can eat at buffets as well. Boma at AKL is great. The chef walks them around the buffet and also makes things in the back. What I am about to tell you goes for any restaurant. Usually they have some type of meat or fish that has not been marinated so my family tends to alternate for lunches and dinners between beef, chicken, and fish cooked in no salt non dairy cooking spray and will get either a baked potato or fries, and steamed veggies. At Italian restaurants like Tony’s and Tutto Italia they have no salt pasta cooked in no salt water that they had with whatever was available such as oil and I think they had a plain tomato sauce.

Thanks so much for this. We always have great service and even at the Italian restaurants as you have said they boil pasta with no salt. I just know that LTT is a limited menu and was curious as I love it there and as long as my wife has a salad and a piece of chicken or fish she is happy.

When is your trip? Where else are you eating? Where are you staying?
We leave in 27 days staying at Grand Floridan, our home. Many dining experiences booked. Jiko, Storybook Dining, Art Smith, Skipper Canteen, Whispering Canyon, Via Napoli, Grand Floridan Cafe and Victoria & Albert along with Mickeys Not So Scary one night. It’s a full trip but always open to more dining suggestions. I just love LTT it brings back so many memories and just has that comforting food and Disney feel

You are pretty close hope the time goes by fast. We try to stay at a different resort each trip GF was many years ago. We have not eaten at any of the ones you mentioned except WCC for breakfast. We have our favorites some we absolutely have to eat a meal every trip and then some we alternate through or add 1 or 2 new to try to that.

Please share your favorites. We are on a mission trying new restaurants every trip

No problem.

Resorts - WCC at WL breakfast, Boma at AKL breakfast and dinner, Ale & Compass at YC breakfast.
Disney Springs - The Boathouse.
MK - LTT, Tony’s, Be Our Guest.
Epcot - Chefs de France, Tutto Italia, Coral Reef, Space220, and Le Cellier.
DHS - 50’s PTC and Hollywood Brown Derby.
AK - Rainforest Cafe.

I don’t know if your wife has to do away with any salt or just has to limit but my DM can only have 600 mg a day. We did eat at a few CS but don’t know much salt was in the pizza and salad from PizzaRizzo at HS and Pizzafari at AK in the dairy free version. DM felt she was pretty good the rest of the trip and fudged a little with these.

We actually love Tony’s as well. Chefs de France is good food and excellent value for a sit down in Epcot. Haven’t been able to get space 220 yet and the brown derby is always excellent. We love Homecomin in Disney Springs that’s one we do evert trip

LTT has had no issues accommodating our gluten + dairy allergy. If you are worried I would reach out to Disney via email before your trip and ask. (The sooner the better, it won’t be a fast process.)

Just contact the Restaurant they will definitely accommodate your request
