Hello, I will be going with my girlfriend this December to Disney!:santa: And I was wondering...where on earth can I purchase these ears?!

The Disney Florist seems to not have them, the Disney store has apparently sold out on them, I've seen horror stories of people complaining about not finding them or them not being available...does anyone know where can I find them?

I know this is an LGBT thread so I would like to know if there are any ideas or suggestions as to what I might be able to do to surprise her during the trip?! I've thought of an In-Room celebration and of a cake from the Boardwalk Bakery (That would mean I would have to make an excruciating walk from the Bakery back to our All Star Movie room, but it's worth it, I think!) but I've been looking for rainbow-themed ideas too! I haven't seen much 'rainbow' things in Disney Florist and I'm waiting for a response from Gifts of Lifetime, but if there are any couples with experience that would like to share their memories and suggestions I would highly appreciate it!

It's the first time she visits Disney so I really want to make it special!:wizard:

Thank you!

P.S. Also, has anyone ever done an In-Room celebration along with a Gifts of a Lifetime one? Can it be done or can you only have ONE done to your room? I'm an entire newbie at this so I would appreciate any help or advice. Thank you!

Not sure on your other points but when we went on our disneymoon in 2009they were all over the shops in most of the parks - it was one of the first things we picked up and although we never wore them (my heads to big) they are a great memory of our trip and talking point when friends visit (they are on shop dummy heads in our guest bedroom!!

hope you have a great time.

Thank you! Oh, okay! I was hoping I could find them before going to Disney (ordering them from the Disney Store shop) but they only seem to have the Bride Ears. Oh, well, I'll be on the look-out for them when we get to the parks! I hope I can find them!

Thank you! Dummy Heads? That's very original!

Thank you!

I read on a thread the other day that there are supply issues with the bride & groom ears. It is an issue across property and they don't know how long it will be until the supplies are restocked. One lady contributing to the discussion is a local who is pretty knowledgeable about things, so I tend to think that is accurate.

You can do as many in-room surprises as you want to pay for. :rotfl:

If you are getting a cake I would have it served at dinner OR I would take a cab back to your resort. I wouldn't walk. ;) In my experience they will only customize a 10" cake, which is HUGE, and heavy. You might call around and see if any of the resorts will make a smaller custom cake. If you are going to get a big cake I would suggest making sure you rent a fridge for your room so you'll have a place to keep the leftovers.

I talked with the Disney Florist several times to see if we could come up with a gift basket for my son. I found that there is VERY LITTLE wiggle room as far as really customizing the items. The baskets on the website come "as is" with virtually NO variation or substitutes. I finally gave up because I didn't want to pay for a basket full of stuff he wouldn't like, didn't need, or would be a pain to drag back home (like a giant plush).

I hadn't thought of that! Thank you for the suggestion! I'll be calling the Boardwalk Bakery and seeing what they offer. Hopefully I can find something nice! :)

I agree, I called them earlier today and well...I decided to go with Gifts of a Lifetime, it seems much more open to personalizing and customizing the In-Room decorations! As well, as, well, I want a plush that my partner would like, not one that 'just comes' with the decoration.

Thank you very much for your suggestions! You've been very helpful!

Call merchandise guest services tomorrow (I think they are open 9-5 eastern).
