LGMH... Anyone still use em?

I'm going to try making a LGMH hair barrette charm/etc. out of glitter felt and see how that goes. I found it's nearly impossible to view a LGMH on a bag/etc. unless there's a lot of open space around, which will not be the case when I go.

Hope to see you down with your LGMH since I will be wearing my LGMH on my disney bag. I plan of getting there early Thursday morning for FP for WoC.

I have had mine on a couple times this last year. But I have never been approached or seen anyone with one either. I do see quite a bit of lime green apparel lol but would feel weird asking hey you wearing that color because you are a DISer

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one! There seem to be a LOT of people wearing lime green at DL and I'm always afraid to say anything. I usually have my LGMH on the top of my backpack, and no one has ever said anything. Ever. So I assume that all the lime green clothing is purely coincidental. I'd hate to ask someone only to be met with a blank stare.

I always have my LGMH with me when I go. It even stays on my bag for weeks after I get back until it eventually falls off and I have to make a new one before my next trip. My last time down there I did get spotted by another DISer while walking towards the Esplanade (other than planned meet-ups, that is). And funny enough, I did 'meet' a CM who posts on the boards but didn't realize it until after we got back and I was writing my TR.

Which Thursday? I'll only be there 6/10 but that's the media event/etc. (Disney did put up a mysterious message along the lines of "Tomorrow (Thursday) we'll tell you a way to get the red carpet treatment/see the media event/etc." but I doubt that will be me.

We're doing the dining plus tickets thing on Friday 6/11...if they don't unilaterally adjust our reservation again. The last time I called everything was just as I'd left it (first time in four calls that that's happened!) so I'm crossing my fingers now. I'll make sure to call them again sometime before I go though, just in case...

I'll report back as best I can on how it goes on 6/11, even if it ends up primarily being through Twitter. For 6/11 if I were you I'd look into the picnic option, though, personally, although you can only book starting 6/11 (and that's in theory). Though you could always try the rumored third show.

I am trying to get there Friday morning and hope to get FP tickets to the first show of WoC that morning. I thought about trying the picnic package, but I wanted to be one of the idiots to be up early in the morning and be in line to get the FPs. At least that blog on the disney website made it a lot easier for everyone going on opening date.

Yes, I read about the picnic option can only be booked on the day of the show.

I went to Home Depot today and got mine. Some of the disney samples were mickey shaped (luckily alien green was one of them!) and some were just the regular rectangle samples. I grabbed a few just in case.

I made my LGMH hair clips and they look pretty decent. We'll see how they stay in during the rides.

Home Depot is one of my stops today. Hopefully they will have the ALien Green Mickeys. I love the idea of making them into a Hair Clip. Okay if I emulate you and do that, too.

A week from today and I'll be in the parks.

Please do! I just bought some lime green sparkle felt at Michaels and drew a Mickey head "stencil" (the "head" part is slightly bigger than a quarter, with ears a little smaller than dimes, I believe), then cut those out of felt. Long story short, I sewed them to those hair clips that are KIND OF like these:

(Actually, I bought some at Dollar Tree and found they didn't stay in very well, so I went to Target and bought some of that brand in "no slip"...and they don't stay in ANY better! I think they might slide out EASIER!!! The Goody ones might work--I didn't buy them, but instead ended up using the Dollar Tree ones.)

I'll let you know how they stay on while on the rides. Besides Screamin' because I hate that ride.

Hair barrettes might have been a better idea but I wanted something that would go on with no fuss. I would've preferred they wouldn't come OFF without a fuss but oh well.

They had the LGMH paint sample cards at my Home Depot. Now I just need to figure out what to do with them all. Hair decorations definately. (I'm short, if I don't put them on top of my head, no one will see them on me). 3 days til we leave, 5 days til we are in the parks. Bounce, bounce, bounce. Soooo excited.
