Lexi's pre-trip report for Dream Factory wish trip! June 18-24, 2009

You still can't get rid of me and my TR is offically finished:laughing:

Thought I would mention that our flight back was wonderful. The guy at the front check-in let us board 1st because we had a special need child. How nice. It stormed on our way back and the lightenening was beautiful from above.

ALSO I MENT TO MENTION THIS ALOT BEFORE.

I recieved so many compliments on the children's clothing. Everytime we turned around someone noticed and complimented them. Talk about making them feel good about themselves. My DD repeatedly told them "Some People made us these and we don't even know them but they still like me." I hope you all realize how much you boosted my child's self-esteem by your kindness. It really means alot to me and my husband and made their trip even more special. THANK YOU all soooooooo MUCH!!!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

I've loved your TR! Thank you so much for writing it and sharing your pictures with us! I am SO happy that Snow White was at your breakfast!!!! YIPPEE!!! It looks like it was SO hot while you were there, but you guys really made the best of it. I'm glad your DH didn't end up in the hospital! That stupid person at AK! WOW what a complete jerk! I'm so sorry!

And, your DD is precious, yes we do like her!

Great TR!! It looks like you guys had a great time. I am sorry we didn't see each other around the village. We had a hard time squeezing everything in. Looking at your pics, you guys saw a lot that we didn't see. I didn't even see the chapel! I would have loved to go in there. We decided we need about 10-12 days the next time, too. We had NO down time. We didn't even swim in the pool! My DH was not really excited about this trip, but he ended up having a great time and I think he wants to go back. He kept asking me questions about it. The next time we go, we will schedule more time at the Village for sure!
I am in shock over the lady at AK! How could a human being even think that??
Trust me, I would stand in line all day if I could cure my son! As would all of us, I am sure!

I agree!!! I would do anything at all to have my DD cured. To say it to me would have been one thing but what set me off was she basically said it to my kids. It literally had me so upset I was shaking. To think IF my DD had really been there for her very last trip.

The worst thing a person can go through is seeing their own children suffer day and night. I only hope this person will learn what a special gift she has by having a child who is healthy. Hopefully she will never take it for granted.

Thank you for sharing all those pictures...they are all great, and glad that everyone had a good time!

She is beautiful, and I love the mickey head on the hair.

Love the picture of her and snow white. I am so glad that Snow White was there.

Love the pictures...and I had no idea Scooby was at universal.

We knew to go through the exits because that is what the first CM told us to do so at Mickey we walked up through the exit. DS is the only one who wanted to meet Safari Mickey so he went up and took his pick with him. On our way back through the exit a lady very rudely and loudly says to my kids "You had to cut in through the line to not even smile in the pic it shouldn't matter if you are dieing or not" I was pissed. It takes alot for me to get mad to the point that I will be in a confrontation but this did it. For one my daughter isn't dying she is not terminal just life-threatening. For 2 what if it would have been a child who really only had a few days left. I spoke up and tried to explain to this lady in as nice a manner as I could allow at the time. She kept screaming how her kid has to wait in line and all these dying kids just walk right up like they are more important (MY DH had taken the kids far away from this lady while I was in this confrontation with her). I started to cry because it just broke my heart. I went up and got the CM in charge and told her what had happened. She had me point the lady out and I left so don't really know what happened after that.
This was the only rude person we encountered the whole time and I didn't let her ruin our day or our trip.

How rude of that lady, and what a horrible thing to say to your kids. I just can't believe that people would react that way.

I just finished your trip report. It looks like you were in one of the new villas. They were still building those when I was there! I'm glad that you had a positive experience overall and that Lexi got to meet Snow White. Now it's time to adjust to life in our beautiful state of Missouri (or is that Misery, lol).

Yes! It was an ablsolutely beautiful trip. We had so many magical moments and you can't beat the FOTL. My DH was with us which was awesome. He has never been on a trip with us EVER before. My kids loved that and also the fact that he was able to help out. Aside from the extreme heat and the ONE rude lady, our trip was just perfect.

The heat actually let us enjoy the village more than we would have otherwise. That ended up being a good thing because the kids really loved the village.

Yes we were in one of the new villas. They were really nice. My son loved all of the creatures that were right outside our door. (We seen a racoon, lizards, frogs and of course our nightly owl visitor).

We have started a savings account so we can go back. Even my DH is wanting to go back which surprises me because he never had the Disney bug before our trip.
