We have 2 TS credits left and I am considereing HDDR but the only seats left while we are there are level 3 or category 3 seats. Is that too from from the fun to spend 2TS credits?
Some people prefer Tier 3 seating. You have a great view of the action. In my opinion there are no bad seats and Tier 3 seating is worth just as much as the others. The performers will definitely make their way upstairs at several points in the show.
Here's my two cents. We went to HDDR in December and used 2 credits each for tier 2 seating. We were seated allllll the way in the back, first table in from the doors near a post. We could see everything just fine and every single one of the actors made their way by/near our table. And with a 6 year old birthday we were hoping that would be the case. It all worked out great and the bonus was that we were first out the door at the end to grab a seat on our crowded bus. IMHO, the 2 credits is definitely worth it for tier 2 or 3. No bad seats, great interaction no matter where your table is.
If you're looking at the stage, we were upstairs on the left side of the "U" - at like the 3rd table back and TWICE the spot lights were shown up to our table and my boys were interacting with the cast on the stage & once my DH was called out by one of the singing ladies doing a birthday song..
We felt very "included" in the fun even though we were upstairs - and it seemed way less crowded than downstairs...and the view was great since we could see everything...
Next time Im going to look for Tier 3 seating!!
Have a great time - its a great show and we LOVED the meal - it was our first dinner at our families first trip to WDW and we couldnt have spent it any better...
We have done Cat 1 and 2. Did Cat 2 first trip. We were pretty close to front, but under the upper level overhang. One of the CMs came right over to DD (5) and asked her to be in the show later. She played the Texas Ranger in the skit and had the greatest experience. The next time we took Cat 1 and were in the middle at the second set of tables from the stage. Great seats.
I understand many people's opinion that there isn't a bad seat in the house, but we wouldn't want to sit upstairs after having been so close to the front twice.

We sat near the front last year as we thought category 3 would not be very good. However, from the way the building is laid out, I think I would have preferred the balcony view over the floor view. It is a great show. The food was average. They were not fast enough with the beer to make it worthwhile.
There will be direct buses to the resorts near Pioneer Hall. You will not need to take the internal bus and transfer anywhere. Some buses might stop at multiple resorts, so ask a cast member near the bus area and he/she will direct you to the right bus.
We always book the 9 pm show that way we can get Tier 1 seating for 2 credits on the dining plan. We do think that the Tier 1 just makes the whole experience much more fun!
