I want to send the kids (2 6 yo girls; 2 3 yo boys) a letter prior to our trip to Disney and also have an invitation to the character meals when we get there. However, I'm completely awful with wording. Could someone offer some suggestions? Here is what I have so far?

Letter from Princesses to girls:

Dear Allison

We were excited to hear that you will be coming to Disney soon! We love living here and can’t wait to see you. We know that you will have a fabulous time. A few of us are having breakfast together on Wednesday, and we’d love for you to join us (ask your mommy if that is OK)

See you soon!

The Princesses

Letter from Mickey to boys:

Dear Ben

We heard that you will be coming to Disney World soon and we can’t wait to see you! We are going to have so much fun while you are here. Be sure to come visit us, OK?

See you soon!

Princess character meal invitation (girls only)
The Royal Princesses of WDW request the honor of your presence at our morning meal at the Restaurant Askerhaus on Wednesday, November 10th at fify minutes past nine. Her highnesses hope you can come and look forward to seeing you!

Belle, Jasmine, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Mary Poppins

Thanks!

Susie

Change "her highnesses" to "Their Royal Highnesses" -- otherwise, good effort and good results.

Great idea!
How about for Mickey's good-bye say, "See you real soon!" . That's what he usually says!

I love your ideas, and I'm sure your kids will get a real kick out of their letters. I also want to add that I think you did an excellent job of wording them. They have just the right touch of innocence that a kid can relate to.

They sound great! I've been doing the same thing for my 5 year old daughter. She's been receiving letters in the mail about 2x/wk from different characters. She doesn't seem to really care too much what they say. They're "from" Disney characters...that's all she cares about. Of course, the big one is going to be the last to come, which I think is what she's waiting for....Cinderella. You're kids are going to love receiving the letters.

We leave Monday (!!) so I can't send a letter each week, but I'm curious how you did your (We must go to Disney again simply so I can use all the tips I'll be learning from this tip!)

Did you buy postcards, or what kind of stationary did you use? Di you hand write or computer-generate? Did you add any special treats? (I stuck stickers in my daughter's).

My kids will be getting their letters today (Disney is so special they deliver letters even when the Post Office is closed!), so I'm looking forward to their reaction.

Susie,

I typed my letters on the computer so she wouldn't recognize my handwriting. I signed them by the characters & put a picture of the character by their signature, since my daughter can't exactly read yet. That way when she opened the letters she knew right away who they were from. That's all I really did. Although, I do like your idea of adding the stickers. I guess I'll have to save that for next time ;) Yes, I'm hoping there will be a next time. This website is addicting. It's unbelievable the tips you learn from everyone. Have a nice trip!

What wonderful ideas you have. I think I am going to steal them and do this for my dd's. They will be so excited. I just love reading all the tips on these boards.

but, my suggestion is not to sign the princess breakfast letter from specific princesses because they do rotate them... i would hate to see a little girl w/her heart set on say "jasmine" and then her not being there, and the little girl saying "BUT SHE SIGNED MY LETTER!" kwim? just my $.02

ENJOY!

My dd (6) called me at work yesterday to read her princess letter to me. She was so excited and asked if she could please go to breakfast! I had signed it from all the princesses, using different fonts, so she explained to me how each Princess had signed ("Cinderella's is all curly...")

My ds (3 in 26 days) on the other hand didn't even stick around to hear us read his letter...he wanted to play with his cars LOL. But dd got a kick out of reading his too, and I'm sure she would have thought it was strange for her to get a letter and not her brother.

Gigi1313 - excellent point...I better start preparing her for the fact that ALL the princesses may not be there.

What fun!

5 more days!
