Does anyone besides me and my goofy husband wish the preshow were shorter? I have never timed it, but it seems to take FOREVER to us! Especially on hot days when they want to SQUEEZE you in eversoclose (closer, closer, you're not close enough!).....

We wish they had the "short tour" where you could skip the preshow and go right to the main show.

Anyone else?

I think the pre-show is the same length as the movie... as soon as the theater is cleared they let the next group in. I don't think they make us wait just to watch the pre-show. And it is pretty cute, especially Pinocchio’s nose!

just like T2, the preshow can be a little too long at times. but there's no other '4D' show in Orlando that commands two separate theaters just to keep up with the demand and the standby times.

And on those hot days you mentioned, I'm sure you much rather be in the preshow than still in the queue outside. The preshow is entertaining, funny and no where near as testing as say... Earthquake.

I'm with ya, Jodie! Just hate those 3 little pigs. And why the German accent?

We find the pre-show for Shrek (along with T2) too long also.
Generally we ride seperatley so one of us is looking after our son, he wouldn't have the patience for Shrek.
The last time I waited just under an hour for my wife - which is just too long.

Don't let the minions in the Shrek show hear you say you don't like the preshow. They will give you a flogging and a small yogurt!

We don't like the pigs either!

I get a little claustrophobic -- so I think that's why the preshow seems especially long. I don't like skin-on-skin contact with strangers, and sometimes that is hard to avoid on crowded days, and when it's dark and people aren't looking where they're going or the kids get fidgety. That causes me a bit of angst. Just a bit.... :)

You guys all deserve a flogging.

They should have a few different versions to keep our interest.

The preshow allows more people to be inside the attraction rather than out in the queue. And basically when the theater is emptying the preshow people go right in. With the two sides this attraction allows a LOT of people to experience it with the least amount of wait time out in the lines.

We love the pre show and have seen it more times than we can remember; The individual Cast members can make or break the experience.

Here's to the three little piggies. :rotfl2:

I love the pre-show. I'm worried this year, though. We don't stay on-site so we're really going to suffer the lines, and I REFUSE to pay for those FOTL tickets.

Mods, I hope this isn't inappropriate..... but this is a message for nerdboyrockstar. Kid, you are HHHHHOOOOOTTTTT. (Don't worry. I'm old enough to be, I hate saying this,...... your grandmother!!!) I can dream. My anthem is S**, drugs and rock-and-roll. We Boomers knew and know how to live!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I think most of us prefer waiting indoors. The preshow ends when the main show does, so it doesn't lengthen your wait.

I'm not talking about lengthening the wait for the attraction, or even being indoors v. outdoors (skin-on-skin contact is still skin-on-skin contact whether it's indoors or outdoors) .... we just wish it were shorter, that's all. Or maybe different from time to time. We get bored during it. :)

I'm all for the "short tour." In Mike & Jodie's perfect world, that is the equivalent of skipping the preshow and heading straight to the main event.... has anyone ever been to the Coors Factory in Golden, CO?

I went to grad school in Boulder,CO, and have had quite a few tours of the factory (I know that this really shouldn't surprise anyone who has read my trip reports). Anyway, the tour is spent going through the factory, learning how beer is made, learning about the equipment, etc. At the end of the tour, you get 3 small samples of Coors-made beer. If you wanted to skip the factory tour, you could just tell the receptionist that you wanted the "short tour" and go straight to the bar area for your samples; hence, the "short tour." (Of course, I graduated in 2000, so I don't know if it's still like this.) :)

Now, in our most perfect dream world, SHREK 4D would offer the same thing. That's all I'm saying. :teeth:

I don't mind the length of the preshow, but get tired of hearing the word "flogging" over and over. First the cast is real serious, then they expect everyone to laugh at a joke.

I know what you mean about wanting to skip the pre show. On some attractions, you can walk backwards thru the exit. If you have FOTL keys, you can go on the ride portion of EarthQuake by going to the exit.
At Disney, I've gone in the exit of the Living Seas to skip the movie.
At Seaworld, you can walk thru the gift shop for the Polar Bear experience.

Not sure if it would work for Shrek 4d.
