Lets see who the true Disney fans are? Which would you choose-Disney or tropical vac?

I agree with the others who said that the Disney Cruise is the best of both worlds. You get your Disney fix, but get to enjoy tropical locations as well. We've been lucky the last couple of years to be able to do both at different times in the year.

This year first stop is WDW in May and then the 10 day Disney cruise in December.

For those of you who have never tried it look into a Disney cruise. They spoil you like you've never been spoiled before. There is so much to do or you can do nothing at all. Heaven!

I love the beach but I would have to say definetely Disney. There is so much to see and do. I just can't get enough. My DH thinks that I have a problem.

Disney:Pinkbounc :hyper: :Pinkbounc Where else can you do so many different things without ever leaving the resort?

just got back from the Caribbean two weeks ago, going to Disney May 7, so my answer is Both.

Definitely Disney. Relaxing is for the birds. My 2 favorites travel destinations are WDW and Las Vegas. I'll relax when I'm dead. ;)

If I was choosing it would certainly be the world - but, hey, I don't have to choose. Disneymoon - 2 weeks at the Poly, then 1 week at Atlantis in the Bahamas. Woohoo!!!!!!

No question...I'd take Disney any day over a tropical vacation. Besides, you can take a tropical vacation at Disneyworld by staying at the Polynesian, Caribbean Beach Resort....

Beaches are boring.

For me, it's Disney all the way...where else do you find twinkly lights in every tree and music coming out of every bush?

I would choose neither. The reason being...I work at WDW so it's not really a vacation destination to me. No tropical for me either (well, maybe Hawaii). At least not the Caribbean since I've been there numerous times. I would choose a vacation to Paris or Tokyo. I lived in Japan when I worked at TDL and miss it very much. I've never been to Paris and would love to go for the history and culture. :sunny:

This year I chose the tropical vacation to Hawaii. I've never been there and have always wanted to go. Been to WDW many times. May go to WDW later in the year, though. :teeth:

I to get bored laying around the beach all day, that's why I'm going to the island of Oahu. Alot to see and do.:teeth:

Both! We go to WDW once or twice a year and also someplace else. Last year we went to WDW twice and Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. This year we went on a Western Caribbean cruise on RCCL (Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel) and we are going to WDW/Disney Cruise in October. DH has one more week so we may go to the Caribbean or Mexico again. We LOVE the beach and snorkeling but do not lie on the beach all day! We visit town, museum's, nature parks, the ruins, etc.. Next year we are going to San Diego and Disneyland (50th anniversary) in August and who knows where else!

Isn't Disney considered both? You can hang out at the Poly or CBR and get that tropical Disney thing goin' on!

I choose Disney!

I'd choose Disney! Tropical beach setings aren't my cup of tea.
Besides, Disney is the only destination that takes me away from reality. Now that's what I call a vacation!!

My DH and I have been to St. Thomas, St. John and Antigua. As the service manager of a marine diesel company, these were company paid trips (best kind!), for DH with plenty of time for vacationing too. But...even though we don't get "free" trips to WDW, I'd choose Disney. We live in NJ, so the beach is close at hand any day, and like other posters have mentioned....I don't have a need to relax! We're WDW commando fans! We're on the countdown now. :)

I would choose Disney. Here's why----always something to do! I love the rides, I love the magic, I love the variety, I love the fun my kids have while they are there. I love the food. I love the entertainment. I love the energy. I love the music.

I have been to Hawaii 3 times, definitely want to go back. My second time I was a bit disillusioned because I was there for 7 weeks as a nanny for some family friends who had moved to Kauai. The whole thing turned into a nightmare (basically was stuck in the house all day in a *Very* tiny town on the north coast because the transportation that was promised me didn't work out).....I got very tired of Hawaii that summer. As a tourist I enjoy it very much, but if I had to choose between the two I would almost always choose Disney. Maybe when my kids are older and can swim really well I would be more inclined to go to Hawaii----the ages they are at now one of us would be playing lifeguard 24/7 and that wouldn't be too much fun.

I would choose WDW hands down.

Why????Because I am an adult that loves feeling like a kid again and that is something I can't do in the Caribbean. The only way I will take a tropical vacation anytime soon is by way of Disney Cruise.

No doubt in my mind. WDW!!!

We go every two years. We're going this year in June. Our next trip would be in 2006, God willing. However, 2006 is our 25th anniversary. DW wants to go to Hawaii. I want to take a Disney cruise. We may compromise by stopping over at Disneyland on the way to Hawaii. We'll see...

I must admit, I do love Hawaii. It's beautiful!! Paradise. Don't get me wrong, I love Disneyworld too.
