Everyone is/has been carrying on about fairness. Forget it. This is about money. The more money Disney makes the happier the shareholders are.

If you say onsite you get "free" transportation from MCO, "free" parking if you have a car, and EMH among other benefits. Oh yeah, and the ability to pre-book fastpass+.

Staying offsite you have to pay for transportation to your hotel, pay to park, and don't get EMH. You also don't get to prebook Fastpass+.

Magical Express has nothing to due with the parks. Free parking and EMH do. So does fastpass+.

So, I say let's charge off site guests if they want to prebook Fastpass+. $10/day/person. Otherwise they can do same day bookings free.

Is it fair? No way. Will it make money. Yep. With all that they save by staying offsite they can afford to pay for prebooking. Just like they probably did with their airline tickets.

For those who whine and say they'll only go to Universal from now on, I notice that you'll have to stay onsite their to take advantage of their perks. Otherwise you pay. But that's alright since it's not Disney doing it.

JMO. If you don't like, it really doesn't matter.

JMO. I don't like, and that matters just as much as your opinion.

You don't need express at Universal. (Most of the time. It's available for purchase if you though.) You do need fastpasses at WDW. Apples and oranges.

JMO.

That ought to tell you something about what the masses think about Disney vs Universal and why Disney won't be excited if some Disboarders vote with their feet.

I don't think this is about more money....maybe more about servicing the clientele they already have. Disney's product is service. As far as shareholders go, keep in mind, Disney owns ABC, ESPN, Marvel, etc. Not sure if you noticed how much Marvel is making for Disney or even ESPN. So, I really don't they care about charging $10 each person for fastpass. They will leave that kind junk business for their competitors. The truth is the only people that are complaining are the clientele that does not stay on property.

From what I've heard, they are going to charge for Magic Bands for offsite. You could still use your ticket for free.
