Okay that's title is kind of corny. I'll change it if we think of something better. I going to use our initials until I know what everyone's screen name is going to be. Ladies feel free to use this journal as a JOURNAL of your weight loss. You can confess, gripe, ponder etc. in your posts. We can also use this journal to log our daily eating and exercising.

I'm T for Texa and I will start this weight loss journal four the Fab Four and Post our self imposed rules: ( I edited the rules because we know what they are and just left our goals.)

Ok, here it is (S, I just copied and pasted your e-mail):

Okay who's next!

I forgot to put COMMENTS WELCOME in the title. I need to figure out how to edit the title to add that until then COMMENTS WELCOME!

I just did a maintenance run, not for very long just thirty minutes. I'm starting my points today. My problem is not starting but sticking to something. I'm going to stick to points because its seems the most flexible, but try to incorporate the meals from Tom Venuto's E-book into those points.
I didn't have a last supper last night. That is huge for me because right before I tackle a new program I always get into the mind set that the night before I have to have THE LAST SUPPER. The problem with that is when I'm not on my game or in the right mind set I can have quite a few last suppers in a row:eek: because I get into the frame of mind that says....tomorrow...tomorrow...tomorrow... etc.
Anyway, my goal from the list above it to lose 25 pounds by Dec. 22, that's about 1 and 1/2 pounds a week which is doable but I have to focus. You can tell by my siggie that I'm running the Donald in January. One of the reason I want to lose the weight is because it will be a lot easier to run if I take off those pounds. I try to envision my self carrying a 25 lb backpack while running and being able to take it off!
Another reason I want to lose weight is I turn 40 in March:scared: . Now how did that happen?
So far so good on day one!

I'm like you Texa, I did not have my LAST SUPPER as I normally would. Only because we went to a resturant that really didn't have anything spectactular! It kind of catered to vegetarians! So sadly I have to say that salad was my last supper! I'm excited about the contest but yet a little nervous at the same time. It's hard to perceive such a large number of weight loss. I am determined and will make it. I figure if I when the pot, that will be money to go towards that **** job I want! ;0)

:rotfl:

That was pretty funny! Well there you are? Where are the other two? The diet and exercise is going well.
I ran on Monday, Today I did an hour on the elliptical plus an hour of Pilates (awesome for my back)
But I may have to put some money in the kitty this week. I don't know why but even with clean eating and all this exercise I gained a few pounds already. (yes I weighed this morning) Don't know why but oh well. I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and see what happens.
I'm pretty confident I'll be able to do the half marathon in January. I'm just at 7 miles comfortably in my long run. About half way!
It's funny how motivating the approach of your 40th birthday can be!
When I tell my DH that I'm try to do this because of the approach of my 40th birthday he tell me that there is life after 40! (he says that of course being over 40 himself)
Hope everything is going okay for you guys. Except for mess I have to clean up from the vile stinking garbage I can't get rid of, :furious: everything is going great here!

Ok girls this is the deal. I have done this so many times that I should not be in this position again, but oh well. I am going to give it my best and see how it goes. You know I am at a disadvantage, the older you get the harder it is to lose and I am hear to tell you it is difficult. I just think about a chocolate chip cookie and instantly have two more layers of cellulite. It will be good support for all of us. We can do this, let's go girls.

I hear you about just thinking about food making you gain weight. Shouldn't the opposite but true also. If we are somewhere and are offered something amazing and actually sum up the willpower to turn it down, it seems like that should be worth a nice calorie burn. AN EXERTION OF WILLPOWER SHOULD BURN CALORIES! Who do I speak to about this?:confused3

Ok girls, here's the deal..... I have a confession to make.... I will be winning this competition. Know why? Because the biggest loser started last night and I am secretly in love with trainer Bob and my new motivation is to look smoking hot in a bikini, laying on a beach in paradise, drinking frozen drinks with little paper umbrellas in them, with Bob by my side! Grrrrrr!

Happy Weight Loss:yay:

She is in love with anyone that wears any kind of uniform, men in uniform are her weakness, but so is Friday night beer at bowling and cheesecake.
She is talking smack girls, we have to stick with our guns.

Well SMACK sounds like SNACK and Mmmmmmmm...... :scared: :rolleyes1 But no!
Bring it on Miss Scarlett!

This morning started out kind of crazy. I "overslept". Not for work or school but for my morning run. I have Fusion this evening at 5 but its not really cardio. OH well at least it's something. Wednesday is my late night because of class so I have to make all three meals in the morning. I went to make brown rice for my dinner tonight. Boiled the water and DUMPED IN A CUP OF OATMEAL instead of rice. GO figure. I weighed myself this morning (I know, I know) and I lost the 1 and 1/2 pound I gained the night before. I guess I just shouldn't weight except for Saturday.
Well Fusion tonight and food is planned, if not boring. THis weekend I need to sit down with a cookbook and figure out more interesting meals.

DO NOT WEIGH UNTIL SATURDAY AT 2PM. Mo does not get off work until then. We will be in touch via email on that day. If you have something planned and can't be at home at that time, put your scale in the trunk of your car and call us at 2pm.:rotfl2:

I have found out today that we are having a suprise bday party for Nathan this weekend including bbq and cake! WILLPOWER!:scared:

 CUE: Evil laughter

Seriously, not all cake is created equal. Is it really GOOD cake? Is it worth the calories? Or is it just cake. Before you take that first bite ask yourself do I want to eat this cake, or do I want....um....enhancements.

Do you use your extra 35 points? If you really want it I bet you can work it into your weekly points.....

And remember we just created that new rule where exerting serious WILLPOWER burns extra calories!

I love that new rule! I never thought in a million years I would have to choose whether or not to drink beer on Friday while bowling or save it for Saturday for a Bday! Life is just not fair.. Can you imagine, ME, having to choose when to drink beer? For crying out loud!:sad2:

The cake won't be a big deal because I'm making it and it will be store bought cake mix.... Now, if you were making one of your cakes Texa, I would be in serious trouble! My butt would be soooooo skinny with all the willpower I would be exerting!

Ok girls, I hope our enthusiasm continues through the following weeks. For the first time in a very very long time, I'm looking forward to getting on that scale Sat. Shocking huh? I just hope all the hard work pays off for us. If the scale reflects how I feel, that will be better motivation for next week. Come on Saturday!

I wish Mo could participate in this message board, but she doesn't have the computer in front of her at work like we do.:surfweb: Did I mention, I love Bob?

While you sad about choosing between beer or Friday or Saturday, just envision the outfits you'll be able to choose between instead! Today has been good so far. I ran instead of doing elliptical because the WW online says it burns more calories. My food and exercise has been going well this week, but the water not so much. I don't know why. It's there. Right in front of me. But I would rather have tea or Diet Dr. Pepper. I'll work on that.
and that reminds me that they have rid my workplace of DDP. Seems like they got a contract with the other soda people so there isn't a DDP to be found.
Well that should help me with my water drinking shouldn't it.
I love being on this challenge. It's really motivating!

Who is Bob?:confused3

Isn't that a cardinal sin? OMG! Ok, here's what were doing for water consumption because that is hard for me too.... Get a water bottle and put 6 rubber bands around it, everytime you finish a bottle, remove a rubber band.. It's also a challenge to see if you can finish by the end of the day. I'm on my last band and it's 4:15pm. I had one ddp after lunch too. You can do it!

Ok, Bob, you know, the trainer from The Biggest Loser! MMMMMMMM!:flower3:

Hey everyone. Hope you had a fab weekend. I kind of blew it on Saturday. I didn't eat a big meal or anything, but we were so busy that we didn't have time to eat regularly so when we did get home I just kind of ate. popcorn:: Not one thing really off plan but enough of everything total that I know I was over my points! We'll see if it affects me this Saturday at weigh in. I hope everyone is having a happy Monday! Oddly enough I still managed to get my running in so maybe that will soften the effect of what I ate somewhat. It's amazing how motivating it can be when you're signed up to run a particular event!

The weekend is tooooo long sometimes. Isn't that crazy to say? Sat wasn't bad for me, simply because I was too tired when I got off work to really get in much trouble. Nathan's Bday party was ok. Thank God the food wasn't real good to begin with. Mo and I decided Sunday morning at breakfast that since we did so well Sat night that Sunday night would be our treat night. We grilled steaks! Not the best choice but it could have been worse. We did have salad and ff butter and ff sour cream on our potatos. Oh well.. I'm with you Texa, hopefully it won't have a huge effect on weigh in Sat. The exercise hasn't been bad either. Yesterday I walked to the school to pick up Shea and even exercised last night.:tiptoe: I love competition!

I would consider Grilled steak with Baked potato as ON PLAN for a treat. Way to go!:cool1:
