Let's give a big DIS Thank You to the Judges...

My calculations say that each judge has had to judge close to 400 rides.... and they are STILL Riding today!!!

I am sure they had mixed feelings about the extended judging time... happy that they will be able to judge everyone, but at the same time another whole day of riding rides... (((Hugs))) ( I wonder what their first thoughts are when they all wake up today... and did they dream about rides last night?)

I have no idea how they are going to narrow 2000 or so entries into 40 some odd winners, but it can't be an easy task!!!

So Thanks Fin, Dawg, Sparky, Lily and Hula for your hours and hour and hours and hours of riding our rides....

and I wanted you to know that each of us who have gotten our little flag (and those who are waiting) are really really excited to see it. That flag MAKES our day... and it's because of YOU all and your hard work!! This is the kind of weekend that Hosts really have to EARN their keep!

So thanks once again for riding our rides and the hours upon hours you have done so... We as players really appreicate it!

I want to thank you very much too. This is my first ride competition, and it has been fun. I do not envy your job one bit having to judge all those rides.

I had no idea there were so many entrants until yesterday. Many thanks to all of you for undertaking this!

Maybe next time I'll skip it! After seeing all the truly talented people and their rides out there, it would be one less for you to take time on!

I will join the thank you. What a big task they have a head of them. Over 2,000 entries. Forty winner wow. BUt most important that they took the time to visit each room. I do not think I could have rode over 500 rides each. WOW

Also I special thank you to Lily who judged my room. She could not put the flag in there because of room limit. I had dc and she waited till I got back on to hand me my flag after I took away an item.

I never got a chance to explain my room but I am sure she read the room descriptions. But so happy she took the precious time to make sure I had a flag. And since I have never won a best guest room it was an honor have have her in my rooms and show her what I could do. I like to build


Thanks to all staff who will be having ride nightmares in there dreams.

Laura's totally right on there... I rode a dozen or so and that was enough for me. Wow 400!? You guys are true Marathon Champions! And when I logged on for the first time Saturday and saw my flag I was so happy! It's silly how seeing some recognition from a game can feel so good. Heh.

And what I find coolest is that you guys ride all day/night for days and yet you're still friendly and showing a good Disney Attitude! Well done and good show!

I want to thank the judging staff "to infinity and beyond" for their patience, kindness, and the nice comments they gave us ride builders this weekend! For many of us (me!), this was a rare opportunity to maybe meet and chat briefly with staff in our own rooms. I'm glad I was there when Lily came to my ride!

This new individualized competition (vs. the team competitions) drew a tremendous amount of entries (2,000?); and rather than try to rush themselves through all the rides, staff wisely chose to extend judging another day. Kudos to you!

I hope in the future that vmk will hold both team and individual ride competitions again. While I enjoyed the camaraderie of the water slide competition, this contest gave me the opportunity to stretch my imagination and make this ride "my own."

For anyone who desires to become a member of the VMK staff because it looks glamorous and fun, I suggest you think about how much work they have had to put into making this competition a success. I rode well over 100 rides this weekend and I was exhausted.
