I wonder if the fear stems from the personal experiences of the other moms (as in being molested themselves by a friend's family member).

The bottom lie for me is that if I'm not comfortable with a father(or mother for that matter), my kids aren't staying there even WITH a mother present. If I trust them I trust them. It's not a conditional thing.

When you consider the fact that more physical abuse occurs at the hands of a female than a male, it would seem sending a child to a home with only a female could be more dangerous!
