Day 6- Tuesday- May, 17th 2011- Morning at Magic Kingdom (again).
By this point we had already spent two half days at MK and we were ready to hit the park again.
I have to admit I enjoyed this arrangement a little more than spending only one big, long day at this park. There are a lot of rides that are age appropriate to Beatriz so three half days worked out beautifully for us.
And after you have done rope drop once you know there is no other way to go so we woke up early and made sure we were there before opening time. Our alarm clock rang at 7am, we had our cheese danishes and coffee while standing in line for the bus and before you know it we were ready for rope drop!
Notice that Beatriz is wearing her Rapunzel dress and even has her hair down . The whole week we had been working her up to the fact that she was going to meet Rapunzel and Flynn and she was extremely excited about that. She LOVES Rapunzel and could barely contain her excitement.
So as soon as the gates opened we walked straight to the Fairytale garden so we could do the Tangled meet and greet. However, apparently we were not fast enough because there was ALREADY a huge line up.
Where did al those people come from????
My only explanation is that they got in the park earlier maybe through ADR's at Crystal Palace or the Royal Table. Let's just say I was not happy to realize I got out-planned

.
We immediately got in line and a CM came to tell us that we were going to be part of the 11 o'clock group.

And I was like WHAT?????
TWO HOURS WAIT TO GREET A CHARACTER???
Not worth it.

Let's get out of here. We only had one last morning at MK and I did not want to "waste it" in one line.
That was when Joey told me that we had promised Rapunzel so we should deliver Rapunzel and that I should go ahead and do a couple of rides with Beatriz and he was going to wait in line.
Now I might be wrong but I don't know too many dads that would volunteer to do that so I was in awe and even tried to talk him out of it but he insisted.
He said he had his phone with Internet connection so he was going to be just fine.
So Beatriz and I took off and went to do Dumbo (the only ride left to do in Fantasyland). The waiting time was 35 minutes so we stayed. It is not like the line was going to get any shorter as the morning went on.
As I said before, I am so happy they are re imagining this queue area. It is brutal. I did my best to keep Beatriz distracted while we waited by taking some pictures.
Here is my very own Stitch:
And then it is finally our turn:
The ride was a success this time.

She let me control our elephant and we flew high the whole time.
SO after our Dumbo ride we went to check up on Joey and I offered to trade places with him but he said he was fine. That I should just go do something else with her.
Ok then...
So I decided to cross to Adventureland and maybe try to do the Jungle Cruise but we actually got side tracked by something we saw on the way:
The Main Street performers were doing their little show ("I am walking right down the middle of Main Street USA") and Beatriz was loving it!
Once they were done she asked to see them again so we followed them up the street until they started over. They actually work Main Street from the castle up (towards the entrance) so they always catch a fresh audience as they go along.
So we followed them along and watched the show not once, not twice but three times and at the end Beatriz even got some love from one of the performers:
After that we just looked at some shops on Main Street and then we decided to join daddy and wait the last half an hour with him.
Soon enough it was finally our tur to see Rapunzel.
Did it live up to our expectations??
