Let it lapse?

I have the preferred annual pass that I have been renewing for 99 a year for several years now. I liked the benefits of the cheaper hotels, free parking, food discounts, etc, but I am considering letting it lapse. Am I crazy? My rationale is that the hotel deal is almost/same when you use AAA and I get food discounts with AAA. I also will have to buy a ticket for my daughter who is not 3 and was thinking instead of buying the renewal, but the adult ticket which gets the child free ticket. We only really go once a year anyway since we live in Ca.

Any thoughts? Am I missing something? Mine expires in March so I only have less than 30 days to renew. My hubby has a regualr Power Pass that expires in Sept so he doesn't get the perks. I am going to decide later to renew his depending on whether we get to go again.

If you only come once a year than I guess it doesn't matter. For the parking, you can stay onsite where you would pay no matter what, or across the street and walk.

I've had season passes to places far away I only visit once, and I let them lapse. It's no big deal.

If you were to come twice a year, then I'd say to renew it.

The difference was huge in my ressies for March. It was 224 with AAA and 169 with APH.

I have an annual pass also that expires in june but I am going to renew it because we plan on going again in August. We also go only one a year. I checked out how much the ticket would cost (2 day) and it is basically the same price as renewing the pass. My son also has the annual pass so we can come and go as we please and don't have to worry about parking fees and not staying the whole day.

That's a tough one because $99 is SUCH a deal, but considering you have to buy the 3 year old a pass, it is tricky!

I used to live in MA and had annuals for Disney and it made sneaking down once in awhile possible too...but then, it doesn't take much for me to justify travel!

We're in the same quandary. Don't know if we should renew. We don't have any "specific plans" to visit Orlando in the next year, but have never gone more than a year in between trips. Having the APs would be more of an incentive for us to make the trip, I think, so it seems that's where we're headed. Good luck with your decision.

At $99 even if you went only 3 times, you got your money's worth.
