Let Disney tranfer med supplies from one hotel to another or?

I'm trying to figure out if we can pull off a summer trip to the children with diabetes conference in July. We'd spend the first 3 nights at CSR but was thinking of changing hotels the last 2 nights to one of the deluxes.

My 5 yr old has a bag full of medical supplies (worth a lot of $$$$) - I guess more than the money I just wouldn't want to lose them as some cannot be replaced at all except by mail order (no pharmacy would carry some of the things he must have). If I let Disney move our luggage from one hotel to another (cause we'd want to spend the day at the MK) - how should I deal with that bag? I also have his insulin that needs to be kept cool (maybe I could carry that with me and store it at the 1st aid station).

We won't have a car - the bag is too big to take with us and some items in it really shouldn't be out in the heat for that long. I just can't wrap my head around the best solution. I could take that one bag over to the new hotel myself - would it be safe you think? Safer than letting it go with the rest of the luggage?

Hmmm. I think what I would do is put that bag into a suitcase. I could see a smaller bag getting lost or misplaced but keeping it inside of a larger suitcase might keep it safer. Can you put a few ice packs inside of the bag to keep the meds cool? That might be a good solution for the day that it takes to transfer it to a new resort.

The other thing you could do is separate the supplies into different suitcases so it's not all in one bag. That way, if one suitcase gets lost, you would still have enough supplies for the rest of the trip. Sort of like not putting all your eggs in one basket. Hope I've helped!

That is a good idea to separate it out. I could also bring a sampling of his stuff with me to the park in case we did lose a bag - it would last us until we could get home I think. I carry a lot of back-up supplies so it seems like a good idea to take out some of what we need and just carry it with us.
